Race 1   OAMARU ENGINEERING TROT
ONE MHOR FOR HEATHER - driver R Holmes reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
RUTHLESS EMMA - back from position at the start despite the efforts of driver A Mugford and was slow to begin. Broke after 200m losing all chance.
MAJOR DOOSIE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
SILVESTER - trotted roughly in the run home and cast a shin boot near the 200m.
HAPPY HILL - broke passing the 1450m losing ground. Trotted roughly middle stages. Broke again passing the 600m losing all chance.
SEE NO EVIL - trotted roughly in the run home.
THE LAST MCGUIRE - slow to begin. Trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground. Trotted roughly again in the run home.
HANK HILL - slow to begin. Broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Broke again on several occasions during the running losing all chance.
Race 2   PLACEMAKERS PACE
SEASIDE POND - fractious prior to the start causing driver J Cox some difficulty. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SANS REPOS - began awkwardly. Lay inwards throughout the run home causing driver R Alfeld some difficulty.
ROCKCENT - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened from the 800m.
GIRL'S NIGHT OUT - tangled away.
POISON IVY - slow to begin losing ground. Weakened from the 500m. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare. Driver A Mugford was warned for using her whip on a runner out of contention.
Race 3   DAVE HEFFERNAN PGG WRIGHTSON REAL ESTATE MOBILE PACE
EASY ART - held up throughout the run home. Driver R Holmes reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
ULTIMATE MACH - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay in rounding the final bend. Driver J Cox reported he was unable to fully activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled. Mr Cox advised he would be recommending gear changes.
MIND PHILLY - when questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the filly had peaked on its run in its first race start since September adding he expected the filly to derive considerable benefit from the race.
GATI - checked by an outside runner shortly after the start. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SWEET RAINE - checked by an outside runner shortly after the start.
TAIKA - fractious prior to the start. Broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Broke again shortly after and shifted inwards abruptly, checking inside runners losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 4   STEPHEN HEFFERNAN AT PROPERTY BROKERS TROT
MILES AWAY - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner and losing considerable ground. Raced wide from the 700m. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MIKKO KOIVU - broke at the start losing all chance.
TORQUAY STREET - hung inwards final bend and raced inside a track marker. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had not gained an advantage.
MODE - broke at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly in the run home.
LINE A LOVE - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Cast a bell boot near the 1300m. Trotted roughly in the run home.
BELLA LINDENNY - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
TRIPPY TYRON - broke passing the 250m losing its chance.
Race 5   BRAD WILLIAMSON RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
FRIENDLY EYRE - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
DARE DEVIL - lay inwards final bend and throughout the run home.
ALLBETSROFF - trainer T Yesberg advised the gelding has been treated for a virus since last racing. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
Race 6   GRASS TRACK RACING 11TH DECEMBER FROM 4PM HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared when MAKAKU breasted the 20m barrier strand despite the efforts of driver J Cox. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - swung around just prior to the start losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly in the run home. Following the race Stewards reviewed the footage of the start and declared SPEEDING SPIRIT a non-runner acting under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to complete one standing start trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
DANCING GLENIS - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start and shifted inwards checking AVEROSS MAJESTY and locking wheels with REGAL SIERRA losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
KENNY'S CHARM - hung inwards final bend striking track markers.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - fractious prior to the start and was sent to the Unruly for the restart at the request of driver M Williamson where the gelding will remain for future standing starts. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
REGAL SIERRA - checked and locked wheels with DANCING GLENIS shortly after the start and broke losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver S Thornley (REGAL SIERRA) had reviewed the films of the start and was satisfied he had not been denied a fair start.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - checked and broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Hampered a trailing runner after 150m while in a break.
CODY BANNER - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
GIFT CARD - trotted roughly throughout the run home.
MAKAKU - began awkwardly. Broke near the 450m losing all chance. Stood down to trial from a standing start on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards due to causing a false start. Trainer A Hoffman advised the gelding would be freshened prior to resuming.
FRANCO JOSIAH - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m.
Race 7   HAVE YOUR XMAS PARTY HERE 11TH DECEMBER HANDICAP PACE
THE CONQUEROR - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
HAZER - broke at the start losing ground. Hung outwards throughout the run home.
GEORGIE ZUKOV - broke at the start losing ground.
FOURTH AMENDMENT - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Tomlinson could offer no explanation.
LAMARLI - broke and shifted outwards at the start locking wheels with ITOJE losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
ITOJE - checked and locked wheels with LAMARLI shortly after the start losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver N Williamson had viewed the films of the start and was satisfied his runner had not been denied a fair start.
SZYBKA LANE - broke at the start losing ground.
