Lost the near hind plate during the running. |
Race 2 THE CHOP CHOP MOBILE PACE

HALEY ROBYN - raced wide from the 800m. When asked to comment on the performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised the mare had worked hard to get into the race and this had taken its toll over the concluding stages.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - held up rounding the final bend and the early stages of the run home.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - hung outwards near the 150m having to be straightened when driver J Cox activated gear, hampering an outside runner, placing Mr Cox in some difficulty, who became unbalanced and dropped his foot from the sulky footrest in consequence.
FABRICATE - hampered by an inside runner near the 150m.

Stewards questioned driver J Cox regarding the tactics he adopted for a distance near the 700m, in particular electing to race on the marker line when the opportunity existed to shift out and race in the running line. Mr Cox explained that the mare had locked on one rein and that RAKNRUIN which he was trailing was still travelling well at that stage.
