Race 1   IRT & TAB UNSUNG HEROS RACE NIGHT MOBILE PACE
BRANDI SNAPP - held up early in the run home.
MELTON ENFORCER - weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of the connections revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery with mucous in the trachea. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
MELTON MAGNATE - over-raced middle stages. Held up middle stages of the run home. Shifted out near the 50m checking JUST FOXIN (T Williams) which paced roughly after striking the sulky wheel of MELTON MAGNATE. Driver R May defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly when shifting ground and checking an outside runner. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $300.
JUST FOXIN - checked near the 50m and paced roughly after striking the sulky wheel of MELTON MAGNATE which shifted outwards.
LOCHDARRAGH - raced wide early.
REVOLUTION - refused to score up and was back a distance at the start. Weakened from the 700m. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.
Race 2   THE NATALIE LATIMER TROT
COUNTLESS QUESTIONS - broke at the start losing ground.
ONE MHOR FOR HEATHER - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
TINKERBELLE - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
TESSAMAE - began awkwardly.
WYPOUT - broke after 100m losing ground. Broke again near the 1900m losing all chance.
BROTHER JOHNSON - hung inwards and trotted roughly final bend.
MISS MADDIE MAXIE - weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
HANK HILL - trainer G Smith was issued a warning for being late to present the gelding on course. Weakened final bend.
Race 3   THE JILL SMITHERAM & PAIGE NICOL MOBILE PACE
MAGICIAN - pre-race warmed.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - raced wide early.
MIGHTY FLYING LOU - briefly came together with SALUTE over the concluding stages. Driver R May was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
MIKI BENNETT - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ITZ FLASH HARRY - raced wide from the 1100m. Weakened from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
SALUTE - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Briefly came together with MIGHTY FLYING LOU over the concluding stages.
MUNROE'S MATE - raced wide early.
Race 4   THE ANDREW McKERROW TROT
BEVRON - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
KNOWING ME - fractious prior to the start. Broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again at the 1600m losing all chance.
THE BLOSS - driver B Borcoskie was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
BULLIT TRAIN - pre-race warmed. Driver S Ottley defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging she drove carelessly leaving the final bend by shifting ground outwards when insufficiently clear of FEAR AND FAITH which was checked near the 250m. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Miss Ottley the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $350.
OPAWA PEAK - unable to take up its correct barrier position at the start. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start.
BOUNCE N BEYOND - began awkwardly. Broke when attempting to lead near the 2300m losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break during the running.
FEAR AND FAITH - raced wide early having to be restrained to the rear of the field near the 1700m. Again raced wide from the 1100m. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. Checked near the 250m by an inside runner and trotted roughly with trailing runners being hampered.
OSMIUM - broke near the 2400m losing ground. Hampered early in the run home.
BRETT'S MATE - raced wide early.
BOYZ INVASION - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Again hampered early in the run home. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
THE CHASE - held up final bend. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 5   THE GREG PRENDERGAST MOBILE PACE
TEDS LEGACY - weakened final bend.
THE SURFER - hung inwards over the concluding stages.
LIFE OF ART - weakened final bend. Driver J Cox reported the gelding had been striking its knees during the running.
WE WALK BY FAITH - raced wide from the 1100m. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Butt was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed mucous in the trachea. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
TRIPLE G - driver J Dunn was warned for crowding an inside runner leaving the final bend.
LITTLE SPIKE - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised the gelding had worked hard in the middle stages with the effort taking its toll.
MR CASH MAN - trainer J Morrison was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified sliding blinds. Crowded by an outside runner leaving the final bend having to be steadied.
Race 6   THE NIGEL & BRENDA ARMSTRONG MOBILE PACE
KATYS SHADOW - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R May. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
JOYRIDE(AUS) - over-raced early and middle stages.
ELEKTRA KING - held up rounding the final bend.
WOODLEA ROCKS - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
LOUIE MASSIMO - paced roughly racing into the first bend.
CAPTAIN CHRISTIAN - raced wide from the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the gelding may be feeling the effects of recent racing.
Race 7   HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETE SMITH FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
MAJOR PERFORMER - trainer T Yesberg advised the mare would be racing in season.
DON'T TELL JENNY - hung outwards and paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
STELLA ROUGE - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - hung inwards rounding the final bend striking track markers.
ELLIE FRANCO - held up rounding the final bend.
DANCING DESIRE - broke briefly near the 1500m losing ground. Weakened final bend.
LOURETTA - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
DYNASTY - hampered in the score up. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied the filly's chances had not been affected.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.
Race 8   MACCA LODGE SIRES' STAKES 2YO FILLIES CLASSIQUE (MOB TROT)
MISS MELANIE - lay inwards rounding the first bend striking track markers. Weakened final bend.
ATLANTIC CITY - lay inwards rounding the final bend striking a track marker.
QUEEN KIZEN - broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slushy.
Race 9   THE ALAN GIBSON HANDICAP PACE
HERE'S HERBIE - driver C DeFilippi was warned for starting wider on the track than his allocated position.
CHARLIE BROWN - raced wide from the 500m. When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted in the middle stages driver J Dunn advised the gelding races best with cover and had been unable to progress forward due to the three wide line never becoming established in the back straight on the final occasion. Mr Dunn added he attempted to improve wide on the final bend however had been unable to make ground due to the fast closing sectionals.
HOMEBUSH LAD - raced wide early.
MO'UNGA - driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
ONE CHANGE - held up leaving the final bend.
Race 10   THE RICHARD BROMLEY MOBILE PACE
ALLBETSROFF - raced wide early and middle stages.
OCEAN OF TEARS - trainer J Morrison was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the filly to race with removable deafeners which had not been notified.
CHALDON - raced wide early.
TOBY TOM B - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
WUHAN - lay inwards striking a track marker near the 1500m. Again lay inwards leaving the final bend striking a track marker. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver K Cameron advised the gelding had been racing without luck against higher assessed horses in recent starts and had received an economical run throughout.
JOSE QUIVERA - connections advised the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing. Held up over the concluding stages.
Race 11   THE MURRAY HOWARD HANDICAP TROT
TU TANGATA - broke briefly at the start. Driver P Nairn was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein in the run home.
MY ROYAL BREAK - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
VERTIGO - held up early in the run home.
GEORGE ELIOT - began awkwardly.
MUSCLE SASS - connections advised the mare would be racing in season.
DASHER - broke at the start losing all chance.
