Race 10 - NZB STANDARDBRED HARNESS MILLION 2YO C&G MOBILE PACE
Stewards reconvened a hearing into a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1500m when CONFEDERATE and MARKETPLACE raced wider on the track. After hearing from drivers Z Butcher (CONFEDERATE), C Ferguson (MARKETPLACE) and B Orange (RUBIRA) regarding this matter and viewing the films, Stewards were satisfied that although Mr Orange had commenced his shift outwards when CONFEDERATE had reached his wheel, they were not satisfied that either CONFEDERATE or MARKETPLACE had been forced wider on the track in accordance with the Rule and therefore took the matter no further.

MASSIVE MERC - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BONJOUR PARIS - hung inwards and trotted roughly when weakening rounding the final bend.
STORMBREAKER - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TARRAGINDI - broke passing the 700m losing ground. Lay inwards rounding the final bend. Trotted roughly having to be steadied near the 200m. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break during the running.
LADY LUCINDA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Close. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Lay inwards rounding the final bend and was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of THE GARDENER'S PRIDE near the 300m.

ROCK OR BUST - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
QUICKER THAN QUICK - hung inwards at various stages through the running. Weakened passing the 600m hampering a trailing runner. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
FEAR GOGH - hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
MELTON ENFORCER - raced wide from the 700m.
SHARD DE ARCH - held up for clear racing room near the 100m.

PENELOPE HALL - shifted inwards placing an inside runner in restricted room near the 900m. Driver J Versteeg was issued a warning.
WHAT THE BELL - lay inwards and struck the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
YOSEMITE - late scratching at 3.25pm on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - held up early in the run home.
VERY MAJESTIC - trotted roughly and weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed a slow recovery and signs of a respiratory infection. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
BRETT'S MATE - raced wide early. Placed in restricted room and had to be steadied near the 900m.
SHANDON BELLS - lay inwards near the 1500m and struck track markers.

GOTTA ELECT BILL - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m. Held up final bend.
HAPPY HARPER - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
DAVE DULEY - raced wide early.
MOLLY BELWIN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m. Had to be steadied near the 700m.
TOKYO ROSE - weakened from the 700m hampering trailing runners and was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
TEDS LEGACY - raced wide early.
SKY ROCKET - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
LOURETTA - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 1500m hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the mare. Had to be steadied near the 700m.
MIKI'S COURAGE - raced wide early.
DECEPTIVE LEE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m. Had to be steadied near the 700m.
Race 5   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS NZ JNR DRIVER CHAMPS (HEAT 5) MOB PACE
WUHAN - over-raced early stages. Weakened final bend.
MIKI BENNETT - lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
THE COALMAN - struck several track markers rounding the final bend and then broke losing all chance. Driver Z Meredith was issued a warning for striking track markers and advised he is to show more control when attempting to drive his runners out in future.
MOUTON CADET - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Raced wide from the 800m.
FRANCO MESSI - weakened final bend.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - broke passing the 1100m hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
CLASSIE LINC - raced wide early.
Race 6   COMMODORE HOTEL WELCOMES HRNZ DELEGATES MOBILE PACE
There was a delay to the start due to SMOKE ON THE WATER requiring a replacement spreader. This gear was inspected and found to be in good condition.
RENEGADE - lay in and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
TRIPLE G - raced wide early.
JIMMY JAMES MAGUIRE - raced wide early.
PERUN - late scratching at 10.00am on Veterinary advice.
TIDE AND TIME - broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HELIUM - hung inwards early in the run home having to be straightened.
HERE'S HERBIE - out of position at the start. Driver C DeFilippi was issued a warning.
Race 7   MACCA LODGE 'HILARIOUS GUEST' 3YO FILLIES CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
OUR SHANGRI LANA - held up early in the run home. Struck a track marker when briefly placed in restricted room by an outside runner near the 100m.
ULTIMATE RACY GIRL - lay inwards marginally near the 100m resulting in RAKERO ICE being awkwardly placed close to the sulky of ULTIMATE RACY GIRL and when being steadied RAKERO ICE lay inwards hampering an inside runner. After questioning drivers S Phelan (ULTIMATE RACY GIRL) and G Smith (RAKERO ICE) Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and no further action was required.
RAKERO ICE - lay inwards passing the 100m causing driver G Smith some difficulty briefly placing OUR SHANGRI LANA in restricted room.
MOMENTS LIKE THIS - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Driver J Cox reported the filly had been windsucking throughout the race. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
TREACHEROUS BABY - raced wide early.
DUCHESS MEGXIT - raced wide early.
DYNASTY - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.

MARTHA STUART - pre-race warmed. A trotting pad slipped from underneath the bandage in the run home. The bandages were inspected and found to be securely fastened with co-trainers J & I Thomas deemed not to be at fault.
LOOK TO DA STARS - raced wide early.
TACTICAL BID - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
BOUNCE N BEYOND - raced wide early.
PAIGE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Tomlinson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Trotted roughly in the run home.
FORGIVENESS - forced to race wide from the 700m.
BONNIE BAGRIE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened passing the 500m.
TORVI - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
HOOF IT HAGRID - weakened passing the 500m.
Race 9   WOODLANDS STUD 'ALL STAR FIVE' 2YO MOBILE PACE
COBA CHARGED - hung inwards rounding the final bend.
POSEIDON - pre-race warmed. Paced roughly late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver G Smith advised he would be returning the horse to the trials prior to resuming.
SPICEY CRUNCH - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
Race 10   FAHEY FENCE HIRE HANDICAP PACE
FRANCO SINATRA - broke at the start losing ground. Connections advised they would be making gear changes prior to the gelding racing next.
AMERICAN ME - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened near the 500m hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery with inflammation of the eye area which was treated. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
GOT YOU COVERED - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
PINSEEKER - broke at the start losing ground.
HOMEBUSH LAD - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.

HELLOVEAMOMENT - shifted into the passing lane late in the run home. Driver S Thornley was warned to make a greater effort to ensure he leaves full access to the passing lane for trailing runners.
