Race 9 - SGT DAN STOCKFOODS MOBILE PACE
Driver A Black (RIGHTAZZ) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Black's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 13 October until the conclusion of racing on 31 October 2024 (3 days).

Race 1   REGENT CAR COURT HANDICAP TROT
JAY BEE HILL - reared then stumbled at the start taking no part in the event. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer B Wallace.
RIDGE - broke briefly shortly after the start. Broke again rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Authorisation of promoted 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking on two occasions during the running.
THE BRUISER - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Trotted roughly and broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
IRISH SUN - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for over two years and was cleared to start. Lay out and lost contact from the 700m.
WHAT THE BELL - broke passing the 60m and failed to settle. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging WHAT THE BELL had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver S Ottley did not contest the protest and WHAT THE BELL was disqualified by the Stewards. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
Race 2   ON THE TRACK / SPUD (THE LEGEND) CROSSE MOBILE PACE
MYSTERY BEACH - over-raced in the middle stages.
AHTHEMIGHTYTRUMPET - broke briefly rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the colt.
COLD PURSUIT - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
BETTOR GO VINNIE - broke rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SULTAN OF SWING - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
Race 3   WALKER MURDOCH LAW LTD FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
CLOSE - paced roughly before breaking passing the 1800m losing considerable ground. When questioned driver J Cox advised the mare was hanging resulting in it breaking. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking passing the 1800m.
CAPTAINS MISTRESS - driver N Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 4   ROBERT WILSON RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
SHEZZA VINNY - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance of the favoured runner driver B Orange advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - lay in on the bends throughout and contacted a track marker on the final bend.
Race 5   KUBALA SEEDS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
CHICAGO SKY - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.53am.
SHOWCASE - over-raced early stages. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
ENYA FRANCO - lay in throughout the run home having to be corrected by driver B Orange and was unable to be fully driven out in consequence.
BABE ON THE BEACH - when questioned regarding the performance of a favoured runner driver M Hurrell advised the filly had wind sucked during the running. Trainer C Ferguson advised he would have blood tests conducted on the filly in the coming days and undertook to report any findings to the Stewards.
Race 6   ALDEBARAN EAGLE USA AT ALDEBARAN PARK HANDICAP TROT
VELOCITY JET - weakened final bend.
SPELLS OF LOVE - weakened from the 700m and was retired from the event by driver M Hurrell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a high heart rate and slow recovery. Driver M Hurrell was warned for half carting for a distance near the 2000m.
SAMANTHAS MOON - weakened from the 500m.
JACCKA BAYLIS - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
SPECIAL EFFECTS - broke passing the 1800m losing all chance.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - over-raced middle stages.
Race 7   OLPHERT CONTRACTING LTD MOBILE PACE
THREEBEERSDEEP - when questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance driver K Butt advised that the gelding benefitted from recent gear changes and had received an economical trip today.
MAGIC SIGN - held up rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
SARGENT BEST - held up final bend.
NO ADDED SUGAR - late scratching on veterinary advice at 7.53am.
Race 8   DANCINGINTHEDARK M SOUTHERN TROTTING OAKS (MOBILE TROT)
PARAMOUNT LADY - broke passing the 400m losing all chance.
PRINCESS SADIE - trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m.
EMPIRE CITY - blundered and broke passing the 300m when leading, hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance. Stewards' footage confirmed the filly had cast the near hind shoe when blundering and broke in consequence. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality other than confirming the filly had lost the near hind shoe.
Race 9   VINCENT AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
BOWLEM OVER - lay in and contacted a track marker when held up final bend. Again held up in the latter stages of the run home.
Race 10   G J GARDNER HOMES MOBILE PACE
TEN DA TOUCH - held up final bend and throughout the run home.
RAMBLIN ROVER - raced wide early.
BUCKIE DUNDEE - raced wide early. Weakened in the run home.
