Co-Trainer S Telfer advised Stewards on 07 October that ELIZABETH HILL has recovered well from her disappointing run and that some bruising has been found in a front foot which required some shoeing adjustments. Mr Telfer added that the mare will be freshened before resuming.

Race 1   RACING, RESILIENCE AND RURAL WOMEN 15 OCT MOBILE TROT
JEWEL ELLERY - Co-Trainers D & C McGowan were warned for presenting the mare with an incorrect saddle cloth number.
TOPAZ CASTLETON - broke near the 1450m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
TRIFOLIUM - broke early in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1450m.
HENRIK LUNDQVIST - pre-race warmed.
Race 2   HIRE A VENUE @ CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
PROVISEUR - over-raced middle stages.
TUGAWAR - jumped a shadow racing into the first turn when leading and broke briefly losing ground.
MIDFREW LUCRE - lay in throughout the score up and was back from position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Lay in over the early stages of the run home. Trainer J Abernethy advised that he will be making alterations to MIDFREW LUCRE's shoeing prior to its next start.
Race 3   TACO THURSDAY @ THE CLUBHOUSE MOBILE PACE
LOOKATME CHRISTY - paced roughly shortly after the start then broke hampering a trailing runner racing into the first turn and settled at the rear. Paced roughly rounding the final turn and in the early stages of the run home when weakening. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
D K LOUIE - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first turn.
THE ARTFUL GAMBLER - weakened final turn hampering a trailing runner.
CAPTAINS SECRET - lay out at various stages.
MILLION DOLLAR CHIC - held up early final turn.
CHAPEL GATE - paced roughly near the 250m when in restricted room to the inside of BIGGER THE BETTOR which lay in despite the efforts of its Driver P Ferguson. When questioned Driver T Cameron advised that his filly had raced greenly contributing to the incident.
Race 4   OFF THE TRACK FOOD AND BEV MOBILE PACE
NEYMAR - checked and broke near the 350m before locking wheels with RAKERO SCOTTY losing its chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality.
BENSON DUDE - checked near the 350m and broke losing ground.
BOOT SCOOTIN BOOGIE - hampered near the 350m.
RAKERO SCOTTY - lay in and broke near the 350m locking wheels with NEYMAR with resultant interference to BENSON DUDE and lost all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Trainer F Mitchell advised that the gelding would not be persevered with as a racing proposition.
Race 5   CHRISTMAS AT THE RACEWAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
BETA PREPARE - paced roughly shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
SCOTT - weakened final turn hampering a trailing runner.
SPIRIT OF GOD - weakened final turn.
JETASI - Trainer S Doody was warned for presenting the filly with an incorrect saddle cloth number. Held up by a weakening runner final turn and lay out placing an outside runner in restricted room.
BRITTANIA - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
SHONTELLE - commenced to weaken near the 300m and then broke for several strides when placed in restricted room approaching the 200m. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver W Fausett could only attribute the disappointing run to the solid tempo set throughout.
Race 6   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE TROT
SLAINTE - trotted roughly final turn hampering a trailing runner. Trotted roughly then broke near the 50m.
KISS MY PIXEL - hampered final turn.
ASTERIA LAVRA - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Broke passing the 140m. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to this runner under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 50m in the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and ASTERIA LAVRA was disqualified by Stewards.
RUBY RIDGE - Driver P Ferguson reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
ROCK ON JAZZ - unable to hold the back of REGAL GIRL passing the 800m. Broke near the 300m losing all chance.
QUEEN OF QUEBEC - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobiles. Broke near the 1550m and again at the 1400m losing all chance.
Race 7   BETAVET BUILDAGUT MOBILE PACE
LORD DELMAR - commenced to over-race early after showing gate speed. Continued to over-race down the back the first time and was taken up the track before being restrained to the rear. Continued to over-race middle stages and in particular when C U THERE improved to its outside passing the 1000m.
WATCH YOUR BACK - over-raced middle stages.
BLUE CHIP LOU - weakened in the run home.
Race 8   MELBOURNE CUP DAY @ THE RACEWAY TICKETS ON SALE MOBILE PACE
CAULFIELD - lay out on straightening for the run home but was corrected by Driver D Butcher.
MAJOR MAJOR - late scratching at 9.28am on veterinary advice.
