MODE - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Trotted roughly in the run home.
DESERT ROYAL - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
GNOCCHI - broke briefly near the 2000m losing ground. Trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Weakened final bend and broke briefly after laying outwards and making contact with the sulky wheel of KOKO KABOOM despite the efforts of driver N Burton. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
CALL ME THE BREEZE - fractious prior to the start.
VALYRIAN - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
I'M A DOOSIE - broke briefly near the 1000m then again shortly after losing ground. Raced wide from the 800m. Weakened rounding the final bend.
WHISPERING MAJESTIC - fractious prior to the start. Broke near the 1800m and continued in a break for a considerable distance losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

GIMMESOMELOVIN - out of position at the start. Driver K Cameron was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.

Race 3   MORRISONS SADDLERY & FEED PACE
TAIKA - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke at the start and shifted inwards abruptly into the infield losing its chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
FRANCO SHERIFF - lay inwards throughout the run home.
MAGISTRATE - weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
NORMIE STEAD - weakened final bend.
FUN TO COME - lay outwards in the run home.
LOCHDARRAGH - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver R Close reported the horse had got its tongue over the bit after breaking.
TERRORMYLOVE - trainer N Taylor was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with blinds which had not been notified. Broke at the start losing ground. Weakened from the 900m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
GENERAL REBECK - raced fiercely through the middle stages causing driver J Morrison considerable difficulty and shifted outwards near the 1700m for safety reasons forcing SCARLET MADAM wider on the track and hampering that runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened rounding the final bend.
SCARLET MADAM - over-raced middle stages. Hampered after being forced wider on the track by an inside runner which was racing fiercely near the 1700m.
MAGICAL MAX - fractious prior to the start. Over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
Race 4   LASER ELECTRICAL TIMARU (FILLIES & MARES) MOBILE PACE
SCOTT FOUR SHOES - hung outwards rounding the final bend and early in the run home. Driver R Houghton was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Houghton advised the filly had travelled well during the running however had failed to respond when placed under pressure and had proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SWIFTNSWEET - broke and blundered racing into the first bend checking trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
FEAR GOGH - co-trainers P & M Robertson were issued a warning for failing to have the correct colours available.
TERROR MA SUE - lay outwards leaving the final bend and became awkwardly placed close to DIDJASEEMIKI.
SWEET RAINE - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
DIDJASEEMIKI - paced roughly and hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of mild muscle tie up.

LOVE POTION - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend having to be steadied.
BEVRON - driver R Holmes was issued a warning for crowding an inside runner racing into the first bend. Mr Holmes admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
SWIFT DREAM - broke near the 1700m losing ground. Held up final bend.
PARAMOUNT LADY - over-raced middle stages.
VERY MAJESTIC - broke at the start losing ground.

JAZZY STYX - driver W House advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners after his foot had slipped away from the cord when attempting to activate them near the 200m with the mare then hanging inwards in the run home.
VINRULES - raced wide early.
POST PAINTER - examined by the Veterinarian following the race after sustaining an injury in the stabling area which required treatment. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
LILAC LUXURY - over-raced early when wide on the track.
JAZZYS UPSTART - out of position at the candy pole. Driver K Butt was issued a warning. Over-raced middle stages.
ITZ FLASH HARRY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards and paced roughly leaving the final bend.
KELTIC TIGER - hung inwards through the middle stages causing driver M Williamson some difficulty.
Race 7   PLACEMAKERS TIMARU PACE
MASTERLOU - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
HILDA MAUD - crowded by an inside runner leaving the final bend.
HE'S TOUGH - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. Struck track markers when placed in restricted room leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
THE CONQUEROR - trainer T Harkness advised Stewards the horse has been treated for a hoof abscess and had its hocks treated since last racing. Held up final bend.
GOORAMBAT ART - driver T Chmiel defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Chmiel the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and after submissions on penalty imposed a fine of $300.
LAMARLI - over-raced middle stages.
FERGALICIOUS - raced wide early. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Driver J Dunn was issued a warning for the manner in which he shifted ground near the 300m which placed runners on either side in restricted room.
HUGO - slow to begin. Paced roughly in the run home.
Race 8   MY BEAUTY SPOT/NIGHT'N DAY PARK TIMARU HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared due to the front barrier strand failing to activate.
BULLIT TRAIN - pre-race warmed.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - trotted roughly in the run home.
SINNER COOL - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Raced wide early. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance.
EYRE I WILL - broke near the 1900m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BOYZ INVASION - driver W House reported the gelding cast the off front shoe near the 750m.
DANCING GLENIS - raced wide early.

BETTERTHANDIVA - raced wide from the 800m.
IDEAL CHEVRON - raced wide early.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m and broke losing all chance and was retired from the race.
GATECRASHER - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
IVONA DADIC - out of position at the start. Driver S Hill was issued a warning. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home. Mr Hill was also warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR - paced roughly in the early and middle stages. Broke near the 1100m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
NED KELLY - lay inwards and broke near the 650m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 10   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES LTD (HANDICAP) TROT
RUSH - broke late in the run home. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
JORDAN ANNE - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - began awkwardly.
SHEZA TRENDY ONE - over-raced middle stages.
LUVAVICI - trotted roughly final bend and early in the run home having to be steadied near the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the left front leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
