Race 1   OAMARU CLUB TROT
MONKEYCMONKEYDOO - trainer M Heenan was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to present the mare onto the track. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1700m. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
OUR EVIE RAE - driver R May reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BROTHER JOHNSON - trotted roughly final bend.
MASSIVE MERC - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1700m. Held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend.
KNOWING ME - fractious prior to the start and broke briefly as the barrier was released. Broke again near the 1700m hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
ARLO MAGUIRE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
Race 2   OAMARU JOCKEY CLUB SUPPORTING HANNON MEMORIAL DAY PACE
HUGO - stood on the mark then tangled away losing ground.
SWIFTNSWEET - hung inwards into the passing lane early in the run home having to be corrected by driver J Dunn. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
ALWAYS ON SALE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again after 150m losing further ground. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
HOLLY K - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced through the middle stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home and paced roughly.
ROCK N ROLL DON - broke at the start hampering an outside runner and losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Mr Butt advised he will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days which Stewards will follow up.
TERRORMYLOVE - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
SPRED SHEET - late scratching on veterinary advice at 12.49pm after being observed to have blood present in one nostril prior to the start. A post-race veterinary examination deemed the mare not to be a bleeder.
Race 3   WELCOME BRAD STEELE HRNZ CHIEF EXECUTIVE MOBILE PACE
ITZ FLASH HARRY - broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Over-raced middle stages.
LILY'S A STAR - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - over-raced early and middle stages.
FOXING EASTON - held up leaving the final bend and throughout the run home. Driver N Williamson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
FOLIEJON PARK - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver S Tomlinson reported the mare had been striking a knee.
Race 4   NORTH OTAGO HARNESS RACING TRIALS ASSOCIATION MOBILE PACE
KINK - held up for clear racing room in the run home. Driver P Davis reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
JUSTIN FUN - lay inwards throughout the run home.
BETTERTHANDIVA - lay inwards into the passing lane early in the run home having to be corrected by driver L Dobbs.
ALMIGHTY CLEVER - lay inwards in the run home.
SWEET SPIRIT - hampered leaving the final bend by a breaking runner resulting in the mare racing inside a track marker.
ICEE STYXIE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
LITTLE BIDDY - broke leaving the final bend checking an inside runner and losing all chance. Whilst in a break the near side hopple connecting strap on the mare broke. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - broke leaving the final bend checking an outside runner and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KELTIC TIGER - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Checked and broke leaving the final bend losing all chance.
Race 5   DIAMOND CREEK FARM OAMARU JUVENILE STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
CAPTAIN MOONLIGHT - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
PREMIER - shifted outwards near the 150m checking DEMON BLUE which paced roughly. Driver R Holmes admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and considering submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
TACT TEVA - lay inwards into the passing lane early in the run home having to be corrected by driver J Cox.
IRISH DREAM - raced four wide from the 500m. Briefly checked near the 200m when an outside runner hung inwards. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised the gelding had cast a hind shoe early in the race, adding she was disappointed with the effort despite racing wide on the final bend.
ALWAYS BE BATMAN - raced four and five wide from the 600m.
FIVE CROWNS - raced wide final bend. Hung inwards early in the run home checking an inside runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DEMON BLUE - checked and paced roughly near the 150m when an inside runner shifted outwards.
Race 6   JASMYN'S GIFT FILLIES & MARES STAKES (HANDICAP TROT)
SONOMA TYRON - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
THE BLOSS - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
SAMANTHAS MOON - driver K Green reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
FORGIVENESS - broke at the start losing all chance.
VERTIGO - tangled away. Weakened final bend.
GALLEONS AMBASSADOR - tangled away.
WALKINONSUNSHINE - trainer T Bagrie was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to notify the mare would race with half hopples. Weakened leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
EUROSTYLE - trotted roughly late in the run home.
Race 7   PLACEMAKERS HANNON MEMORIAL (STAND PACE)
MIGHTY LOOEE - broke at the start losing ground.
MACANDREW AVIATOR - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
SMOKE ON THE WATER - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver R May reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
MO'UNGA - over-raced middle stages.
DA VINCI - held up for clear racing room in the middle stages of the run home.

MELODY BANNER - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
LOUIES GIRL - trainer C Ferguson was warned for presenting the filly with blinds which were not notified.

LINE A LOVE - trotted roughly when weakening final bend.
MISS GRACIE - broke briefly shortly after the start. Broke again racing into the first bend losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
WHISPERING OVER - broke briefly at the start. Weakened early in the run home.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver M Williamson.
