Connections advised Stewards on 11 September that MO'UNGA has had a knee and both hocks treated since last racing.

Trainer R Todd advised Stewards on 11 September that MOOSE MOROWSKI has been treated for a blood disorder since last racing.

Connections advised Stewards on 12 September blood tests taken from MISTY BLUE revealed the mare to be suffering from muscle tie-up which is being treated.

Race 1   ITM CANTERBURY REGION RACE NIGHT 2024 MOBILE PACE
COLIN MCBRIDE - paced roughly shortly after the start. Again paced roughly from the 700m losing all chance. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had over-raced behind the mobile and he would be recommending the horse be restricted to standing starts in the immediate future. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MIKI B - held up middle stages of the run home.
ARISTA - driver R Holmes was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 2   PROBUILD ITM TWO-YEAR-OLD MOBILE TROT
PADDY MCDADDY - over-raced middle stages.
JOHN SPARTAN - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
LUBY'S LUCK - broke near the 450m losing all chance.
VIVA LA VIDA - late scratching at 11.55am on veterinary advice.
QUEEN KIZEN - broke as the start was effected losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
FRAZZLED - cast a bell boot passing the 1500m. Trotted roughly in the run home.
MASSIVE MERC - out of position at the start. Driver A Clark was issued a warning.
Race 3   HILLSIDE ITM HANDICAP PACE
SANDY SHORE - raced greenly racing into the first bend and shifted wider on the track despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel resulting in several trailing runners being checked. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Mr Chmiel was warned for shifting inwards rounding the first bend and placing an inside runner in restricted room which struck several track markers. Held up late in the run home. Mr Chmiel advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
RISE UP N DANCE - tangled away. Broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
FRANCO MESSI - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend and struck several track markers.
KOWHAI NUGGET - broke at the start before being checked by an outside runner losing ground. Broke briefly when over-racing passing the 1600m. Hung inwards and paced roughly final bend striking several track markers.
WINNYZBACK - broke at the start and shifted inwards checking an inside runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TANZANIA - checked by an inside runner racing into the first bend.
CHOCO LOU - over-raced middle stages.
ONWARDSANDUPWARDS - checked by an inside runner racing into the first bend. Crowded by an outside runner late in the run home.
Race 4   KAIAPOI ITM MOBILE PACE
GATECRASHER - briefly held up early in the run home.
LORD MUDRICK - weakened final bend.
HOO HAA - raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final bend.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - held up early in the run home.
DON'T TELL JENNY - weakened leaving the final bend.
SALUTE - over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards passing the 2100m striking track markers. Again lay inwards final bend striking track markers and continued to lay inwards throughout the run home.
SOPHIA BROMAC - pre-race warmed.
Race 5   WOODLANDS STUD SIRES' STAKES 'HARNESS 7000' (MOB PACE)
REVOLUTION - over-raced middle stages.
THE MANTIS - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MUNROE'S MATE - over-raced middle stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BRONSON - driver B Butt admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion leaving the final bend and in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Butt's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 15 September up to and including 22 September 2024 (3 days) and imposed a fine of $350.
KOTARE KELSO - connections advised the gelding had cast the near hind shoe during the running.
I'M ROCKIN - when questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised in his opinion the gelding may have been feeling the effects of recent racing.
MIKI'S COURAGE - raced wide early.
TRUMP CARD - when questioned regarding the performance driver O Thornley advised the gelding had peaked on its run in the home straight and expected the horse would derive considerable benefit from what was its first race start since July.
Race 6   DARFIELD ITM HANDICAP TROT
HELLOVEAMOMENT - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
FRANCO JOSIAH - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
CONFESSIONAL - lay outwards leaving the final bend.
MIGHTY LOGAN - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
HIGHGROVE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Broke briefly at the start. Trotted roughly in the run home.
KYVALLEY HOTSPUR - trotted roughly final bend.
Race 7   BASHERS ITM MOBILE PACE
KASHKEEPER - driver T Williams advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
LIVE ON LEGEND - driver G O'Reilly reported the gelding had lost a hind shoe during the running.
LIFE OF ART - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Paced roughly in the run home.
Race 8   WOODLANDS STUD WISH R J DUNN A HAPPY 70TH MOBILE PACE
OBSESSION - late scratching at 8.10am on veterinary advice.
ULTIMATE CHALLENGE - held up rounding the final bend.
CLASSIE LINC - over-raced early and middle stages.
CARDI B - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close was unable to provide any explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 9   RANGIORA ITM HANDICAP TROT
OSMIUM - broke near the 2100m hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
THE RIVER BOY - reared prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
DANCING GLENIS - broke at the start losing all chance.
T K MEGASTAR - trainer R Holmes was issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 2100m and broke losing all chance.
TU TANGATA - broke at the start losing all chance.
SWITCH ON - trotted roughly in the run home.
ONE EL - broke at the start losing ground.
ROYAL DEL - the off-hind bandage came adrift near the 1500m. Stewards took no action due to the prevailing track conditions.
MASTERLY - shifted into the passing lane late in the run home. Driver B Butt was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home and leave the passing lane clear for trailing runners.
PYRAMID MYSTIC - weakened final bend.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slushy.
Race 10   HAMPTONS ITM FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
ALWAYS IMPRESSIVE - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed the filly to be lame in the left hind leg and was treated by the Veterinarian before being transported in the Horse Ambulance to the Canterbury Equine Clinic. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
DIXIELAND DELIGHT - raced wide early. Hung inwards final bend striking track markers.
SPICEY CRUNCH - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
THERON - raced wide early.
CELESTIAL SEA - raced wide early. Raced wide without cover from the 1100m.
ONEROA - paced roughly final bend. Continued to pace roughly in the run home.
SABALA - paced roughly middle stages losing ground. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt advised the filly had not handled the prevailing track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DELIGHTFUL PEG - broke after over-racing near the 1200m losing ground.
Race 11   McVICAR'S ITM MOBILE PACE
TAKE THE DEAL - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Houghton advised the gelding had not been suited to racing parked in the early stages.
ACTION MAJOR - driver C Thornley advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
EDGE OF REASON - paced roughly final bend.
MIGHTY FLYING LOU - lay inwards throughout the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver G O'Reilly advised the steering bit had pulled through the horse's mouth causing him difficulty.
