Race 3   OFF THE TRACK FOOD AND BEV MOBILE PACE
PROVISEUR - over-raced middle stages.

MESSENGER BUOY - raced wide early before securing a position midfield in the running line.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - when questioned regarding the performance Trainer S Abernethy advised that the gelding had proved to be disappointing on occasions previously when failing to give of its best if overly restrained during the running and felt that this may have been the case travelling down the back straight the final time when racing keenly. Mr Abernethy further explained that as previously advised to Stewards this runner needed things to go his way during the running to perform up to its best and this had not occurred from the wide draw in tonight's event . Stewards noted Mr Abernethy's comments.
The track was downgraded to slushy following this event.

RED RACKHAM - raced keenly middle stages. Junior Driver Z Meredith, assisted by P Ferguson, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion over the final stages of the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Meredith's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including the 17 September 2024 (4 days).
BARBAROSSA - hampered in the run home when carried wider and then had to be checked by Driver D Butcher when placed in restricted room inside the final 50m when runners on both sides shifted ground.
