Race 1   MT HUTT TROTTING CLUB TROT
MONARO MEG - began awkwardly.
KNOWING ME - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Trotted roughly passing the 1200m losing ground. Broke again near the 100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SOLEMN SON - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend.
SAXON REIGNS - broke near the 1600m losing all chance.
SCHOEMAKER - broke briefly at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend.
ROSE ISLE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Trotted roughly in the run home.
BONJOUR PARIS - broke racing into the first bend and shifted down the track despite the efforts of driver J Thomas hampering trailing runners and losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 300m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. The connections advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.
KOKO KABOOM - slow in the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Broke near the 1400m losing ground.
CLOVELLY HILL - trotted roughly in the early stages.
Race 2   A TEAM CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
CARRERA BRAVO - paced roughly in the run home.
INTERRORGATOR - paced roughly in the run home.
SPECTATOR - briefly locked wheels with FEAR GOGH late in the run home.
MAGICAL MARIA - hung outwards rounding the first bend causing driver S Tomlinson some difficulty.
TERROR MA SUE - fractious leaving the pre-race formation and reared on several occasions. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
FEAR GOGH - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Briefly locked wheels with SPECTATOR late in the run home.
Race 3   ARMAND VAN DER EIK AT RAY WHITE TROT
JUST CHARLIE - broke at the start before switching to a pace and having to be broken up by driver L Dobbs losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
PERFECT CALL - weakened final bend.
SHEILA LAXON - weakened final bend.
ROYAL HOUSE - weakened from the 700m.
MIKKO KOIVU - tangled away. Weakened final bend. The off hind bandage came adrift during the running. Trainer E Latimer was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix the bandage so as not to come adrift.
Race 4   RAKAIA SEED CLEANING PACE
THE MANTIS - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1750m. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
BRANDI SNAPP - paced roughly passing the 200m.
SHARD DE ARCH - lay outwards passing the 400m and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver S Ottley.
HOLLY K - raced wide early.
MAGICAL MAX - broke near the 1750m when over-racing hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
SPRED SHEET - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Lay outwards leaving the final bend and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver G Shand.
Race 5   MERV & GARY WILLS MEMORIAL/FLOWERS AT THE GATE TROT
LA DAMA - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
TAKE AFTER ME - lay outwards throughout the run home.
OPAWA PEAK - broke at the start losing all chance.
MISS GRACIE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Broke again near the 450m losing all chance.
Race 6   PERFECT STING STANDING AT MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
DELIGHTFUL PEG - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
CELESTIAL SEA - lay inwards and briefly locked wheels with ELEKTRA KING after being shifted wider on the track near the 800m.
ELEKTRA KING - briefly locked wheels with CELESTIAL SEA near the 800m when shifting wider on the track. Held up early in the run home.
MYSTIC MAGIC - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Lay inwards in the run home.
TALLANDFAST - raced three wide without cover from the 700m.
ABSOLUTE BABE - lay outwards and paced roughly rounding the final bend.
Race 7   VIABLE AGRICULTURE (FILLIES & MARES) MOBILE PACE
MAJOR HAPPY - paced roughly near the 200m.
KALATRA - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised he was disappointed with the mare's effort and unable to provide any explanation.
HOO HAA - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was slightly disappointed with the effort of the filly and could offer no explanation.
COURTNEY ROSE - out of position at the start. Driver J Dunn was issued a warning.
JUDGEMENT BAY - out of position at the start. Driver K Cameron was issued a warning. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 8   THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE ALAN NEUMANN MOBILE PACE
MELANDO CHIEF - held up early in the run home.
FORD RULE - raced three wide with cover from the 1000m. Driver R Close advised the gelding had cast the near fore shoe during the running.
SPORTS BABE - raced wide throughout.
KINK - raced wide early.
FLO MOTION - raced three wide with cover from the 1000m.
BUDDY REIGN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
SWEET SPIRIT - raced three wide with cover from the 1000m. Held up early in the run home.
PENNY WEIGHT - raced three wide with cover from the 1000m.
MICHAEL EYRE - held up early in the run home.
Race 9   MIKE GREER HOMES HANDICAP PACE
SANTANNA MACH - broke at the start losing ground.
KELTIC TIGER - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages.
TEN DA TOUCH - broke at the start losing ground. Paced roughly near the 1300m. Weakened in the run home.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - weakened final bend.
JACK TAR - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 10   GEOFF STONE MEMORIAL MOBILE TROT
The first attempt at a start was aborted due to the field being called up to commence the score up earlier than the allocated time. Stewards questioned Starter R Donnelly regarding this and after hearing his explanation, Mr Donnelly was reminded of his obligations.
PARAMOUNT LADY - broke near the 1200m losing ground. Broke again near the 700m losing all chance.
SPECIAL EFFECTS - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
THE ROYAL GAMBLE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend. The overcheck became detached during the running.
Race 11   McCORMACK DECORATING MOBILE PACE
DON JUAN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Locked wheels with VERLANDER just prior to the finish line with driver M Holbrough becoming unbalanced in the sulky.
MOTOR MOUTH - checked late in the run home when attempting to avoid a breaking runner.
TAKE THE DEAL - raced wide early.
VERLANDER - stumbled and broke just prior to the finish and shifted inwards locking wheels with DON JUAN with the gelding falling after the finish line and checking a trailing runner. VERLANDER was immediately attended to by the on course Veterinarian and found to have grazing on the left hip and stifle and was cleared to be walked from the track. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming. Driver K Butt was examined by St John Paramedics and transferred by Ambulance to hospital for further assessment. Miss Butt will be required to provide a medical clearance prior to resuming driving.
