Trainer N Williamson reported to Stewards on 29 August that blood tests conducted on HIDDEN TALENT following the disappointing performance had revealed some issues which have been treated, adding that the mare will now be freshened prior to resuming.

Race 1   MARSHALL INDUSTRIES MOBILE PACE
RASPALIA - broke late in the score up and was slightly out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
BEAUDIENE HUNTER - paced roughly over the concluding stages before breaking passing the 25m. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and was not lapped on.
Race 2   UPPERCUTS BUTCHERY HANDICAP TROT
SON E - broke at the start. Trotted roughly through the middle stages. Broke again rounding the final bend losing all chance.
DON AMECHE - broke at the start, soon settled, then broke again after 100m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again passing the 1400m losing ground. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
POPNROCK - driver K Tomlinson reported she did not activate the sliding blinds or release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
KYLE LOCH - slow in the early stages. Following the race Stewards reviewed the footage of the start and were satisfied KYLE LOCH had not been denied a fair start.
AH DINNAE KEN - breasted the tapes at the start despite the efforts of driver A Milne. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver A Milne was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 3   ALABAR NZ FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
RAGING NATIVE - paced roughly late in the score up. Weakened final bend. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a slow recovery. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the filly.
MIND PHILLY - briefly placed in restricted room by an outside runner in the middle stages of the run home.
TRENDY VAN GOGH - raced greenly when leading passing the 1100m.
BUBBLE ME - lay in racing into the first bend and again over the concluding stages. Driver K Green was warned to ensure that she leaves full access to the passing lane for trailing runners.
Race 4   RYAL BUSH TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
MIGHTY MIKI - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 5   SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE 021351499 MOBILE PACE
CLOSE - raced three wide without cover from the 900m. Lay in rounding the final bend.
Race 6   SOUTHBUILD ITM TROT
HAIL STONE - weakened final bend.
SUPERFAST RONNIE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MAKAKU - slow to begin.
STELLA BAY - lay in when weakening final bend contacting a track marker. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the mare to have an elevated heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with trainer L Bond in the coming days.
Race 7   SUBWAY WINTON MOBILE PACE
LIVY DESMA - held up leaving final bend.
ROBYNS ART - weakened leaving final bend.
OKIWI BAY - driver N Williamson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
CUTIE - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.33am.
POUNAMU - the near side boring pole came adrift near the 300m. The gear was inspected and found to be in previous good condition.
Race 8   REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
ETERNAL DREAM - appeared uneven in its gait at times. Driver B Williamson advised he would be recommending gear changes. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
RYLAN CHARLIE - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
PAY ME SPEEDY - weakened final bend.
MIKI BENNETT - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
Race 9   GOODMAN PLUMBING LTD HANDICAP TROT
JACCKA BAYLIS - weakened final bend. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
NUBLIAH CHAMAY - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance.
T BONE RAWHIDE - tangled away then broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
ABADABADO - when spoken to regarding the performance of the favoured runner driver S Ottley advised she had got too far back in the running, adding that she was not disappointed with the mare's effort given the way the race was run.
NIGHT WATCH - briefly hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
PYRAMID MYSTIC - weakened leaving final bend.
Race 10   NEXT MEETING 19TH SEPTEMBER MOBILE PACE
MICAITLEN DENARIO - the blinds were removed prior to the start due to the mare warming up unfavourably.
LEWEY MAGUIRE - lay out at various stages throughout.
ROBYNS PLAYBOY - over-raced in the parked position through the middle stages. Weakened leaving final bend.
FERNLEIGH BLACKBIRD - lay out in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - when asked to comment on the performance of the favoured runner driver O Kite advised he had got too far back from the wide draw and the race was not run to suit.
ADVANCE PARTY - required assistance from an attendant when parading prior to the score up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
