Race 6   PAUL RENWICK JOINERY MOBILE PACE
ONEDIN MIKI - paced roughly on the final bend losing ground. Held up for clear racing room until late in the run home. Stewards questioned junior driver O Thornley regarding the tactics she adopted near the 1500m when electing not to shift outwards from a position on the marker line to race outside the leader. Miss Thornley explained that the gelding had raced below the stable's expectations at its two most recent starts when racing parked and for this reason she felt it would have been detrimental to the horse's chances to again race in that position considering the rise in class of tonight's race. Miss Thornley added that the gelding had been striking its knees on the final bend causing it to pace roughly. After considering her explanation, Stewards were satisfied her tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
WARLOCH - over-raced early when being restrained to the rear of the field.
