Race 1   BETAVET TROT
TEASE MY TARTAN - broke at the start losing ground. Hung inwards and trotted roughly rounding the final bend when weakening.
TIOGA PASS - broke near the 100m and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a Protest against 2nd placing being awarded alleging the gelding had broke in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the Protest and after viewing replays the Adjudicative Committee disqualified TIOGA PASS from 2nd placing.
JUSTINE JACCKA - began awkwardly and shifted up the track losing ground.
VELOCITY JET - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again near the 1700m losing all chance. Driver N Williamson reported the gelding was not comfortable in today's track conditions.
PHOEBE AMORE - pre-race warmed. Fractious prior to the start. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start after briefly falling to the track. Swung sideways as the barrier was released and refused to trot away with the field losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Connections reported PHOEBE AMORE had objected to the anti-choke device and they would be making gear changes prior to the mare racing next.
ACTION PACKED - broke shortly after the start and again near the 1800m losing ground.
KYLE LOCH - stood on the mark and refused to trot away with the field losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   ALL THE BEST NIC HIK FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
HEY MIKI DENARIO - lay outwards rounding the final bend. Lay inwards into the passing lane in the run home having to be straightened by its driver.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - lay inwards throughout the run home having to be straightened by its driver. Junior driver S O'Reilly reported she did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
LOVEMAKENTIME - B Williamson was an authorised late driver change. Broke in the score-up losing all chance.
WHO'S BETTOR - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the run home with driver N Williamson reporting he did not release the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 3   SOUTHLAND EXPRESS MOBILE PACE
HACKSAW RIDGE - checked and broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
MACANDREW NAVIGATOR - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend by an outside runner and was forced inwards checking HACKSAW RIDGE.
WARRIOR EASTON - hampered racing into the first bend and broke losing all chance.
NORTHVIEW DANCE - when questioned regarding the performance junior driver D Anderson advised the gelding had failed to handle the prevailing track conditions.
MCLEAN - hung inwards shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
HANGIN WITH HECTOR - held up early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised the gelding had failed to handle the prevailing track conditions.
WATTLEBANK ARNIE - shifted down the track racing into the first bend placing MACANDREW NAVIGATOR in restricted room with that runner being forced inwards checking HACKSAW RIDGE which broke. Driver K Barclay admitted a charge that she drove carelessly in this incident and after viewing replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended her license to drive from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 6 June 2022 (3 days). Lay inwards final bend striking track markers. Broke near the 60m and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a Protest against 2nd placing being awarded alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the Protest and after viewing replays the Adjudicative Committee disqualified WATTLEBANK ARNIE from 2nd placing.
BOBBY WATERHOUSE - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner. Paced roughly through the back straight on the final occasion. Authorisation of the promoted 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking in the early stages.
Race 4   CRUICKSHANK PRYDE HANDICAP TROT
JOEDIUM - broke passing the 800m hampering trailing runners and lost all chance.
IN THE GROOVE - trotted roughly shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
SKY HIGH FLYER - trotted roughly and weakened rounding the final bend before breaking near the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be showing signs of muscle tie-up. Connections advised they would have blood tests conducted in the coming days which Stewards will follow up the results of with trainer B Mowbray.
TWO MENNY MUSCLES - trainer R Wilson was issued with a warning for presenting the mare with removable deafeners which were not notified. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 800m.

Race 5   LEVEL ONE RESTAURANT & BAR MOBILE PACE
TEDDY BAKER - over-raced through the early and middle stages.
NGAROMA - driver A Armour advised that he had difficulty steering the gelding throughout.
RAGING ON - broke briefly racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner. Weakened from the 500m.
SIR LANCELOT - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Paced roughly on various occasions during the running.
TSUNAMI - weakened on the final bend.
Race 6   WAIKIWI TAVERN MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when DALNESS ARIZONA broke in the score-up and HALEY ROBYN was back out of position with both horses hampering second line runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of DALNESS ARIZONA. Driver K Butt elected to remain in her allotted barrier position for the restart. HALEY ROBYN was sent to the Unruly position by the Starter. A warning was placed on the barrier record of this filly.
DON'T QUOTE ME - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
HALEY ROBYN - held up rounding the final bend.
I'M WATCHING YOU - held up early in the run home. When asked to comment on the improved performance junior driver T Nally advised the gelding had been racing without luck in recent starts and he was not surprised with the effort today.
FRIENDLY EYRE - raced wide early.
JAFFIE J - held up rounding the final bend and until late in the run home.
HENRY MAGUIRE - fractious in the pre-race formation and initially refused to take part in the score-up before breaking when a distance behind the field. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) for unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver P Hunter was issued with a warning when using his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home.
ZIRCON LASS - raced wide without cover from the 800m. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had hung inwards on various occasions during the running.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - when asked to comment on the improved performance driver M Williamson advised the mare had been racing well prior to its last start when it over-raced and he was not surprised by today's effort after a drop back in class from recent opposition.
MAGIC SIGN - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the run home with junior driver S O'Reilly reporting she did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
Race 7   THANKS LYN FRISBY MOBILE PACE
The start time of this race was rescheduled to 2.53pm at the request of the TAB.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - declared a late scratching at 2.48pm on veterinary advice after showing signs of lameness in the preliminary. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding racing next.
MIGHTHAVTIME - trainer K Barclay was issued with a warning for being late to notify the filly would race with sliding blinds.
TAD LINCOLN - hampered near the 300m.
CHEZZ DALE - over-raced when being restrained shortly after the start. Raced wide with cover from the 1100m. Hung inwards final bend and locked wheels with the weakening ATARAH near the 300m despite the efforts of driver T Larsen.
ATARAH - raced wide without cover from the 1200m. Locked wheels with CHEZZ DALE near the 300m losing all chance.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend.
CHANGEAROUND - fractious in the pre-race formation and reared on several occasions as the field commenced the score-up behind the mobile with the horse losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced through the early and middle stages.
Race 8   REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
The start time of this race was rescheduled to 3.28pm at the request of the TAB.
ARCHAIC LUSTRE - lay inwards rounding the first bend and struck track markers then continued to lay inwards on the bends for the remainder of the race. Weakened from the 300m.
BROOKIES PLAYER - hung inwards throughout the run home causing junior driver S O'Reilly some difficulty.
THE OTHER BROTHER - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. Cast the off-front shin boot and broke briefly rounding the first bend.
BETTASTAR - held up on the final bend by a weakening runner.
SAGWITCH - hung inwards throughout the run home and was unable to be shifted wider on the track to obtain clear racing room despite the efforts of driver M Williamson.
Race 9   THANKS BRENT BALLANTYNE MOBILE PACE
The start time of this race was rescheduled to 4.03pm at the request of the TAB.
SANTANNA MACH - held up rounding the final bend and again in the latter stages of the run home.
SZYBKA LANE - held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
DOCTOR TIM - when asked to comment on the performance junior driver S O'Reilly could offer no explanation.
BEEZ NEEZ - over-raced through the middle stages. Held up throughout the run home with driver S Ottley reporting she did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence. The near-side number hung loose during the running.
