Race 1 - THE ALEX BAR & EATERY HANDICAP TROT
Trainer D Mann advised Stewards on 21 April that subsequent to LORD POPINJAY's last start a veterinary examination revealed a slight respiratory infection which has since been treated. Mr Mann added that the gelding would now be freshened prior to resuming.

Race 8 - BETAVET FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
SKY DELIGHT- Driver Z Butcher admitted a charge under Rule 859(2) in that he permitted his mare to start from an incorrect barrier position. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $350.
ALLY MAE - Driver L Hibell admitted a charge under Rule 859(2) in that she permitted her mare to start from an incorrect barrier position. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $100.
Starter D Blakemore was reprimanded in relation to this matter.

Race 1   AUCKLAND CUP NIGHT MAY 27 - BOOK NOW HANDICAP TROT
DIAMANT BLEU - driver J Stormont advised that the gelding had over-raced during the running.
DELLARIO - broke near the 2300 metres losing ground.
AEONIAN - back from position at the start. Trotted roughly and broke near the 1400 metres losing ground.
ELLARIA SAND - broke at the start but soon settled. A final warning was placed on the barrier manners of the filly.
PRINCE ENVY - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
Weakened from the 500 metres.
ALDEBARAN FLAME - broke near the 300 metres losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
Race 2   GRAND PARK MOBILE PACE
FOREVER A DANCER - checked when having to take evasive action passing the 300 metres.
FALCONS WATCH - over-raced through the middle stages. Inconvenienced near the 1250 metres when SUPA DUPA LUCA raced over markers pegs. Paced roughly for a short distance when racing fiercely passing the 1100 metres. Checked by a breaking runner near the 300 metres and was forced to race inside track markers losing its chance.
TENNESSEE HONEY - when spoken to regarding the improved performance Trainer K Marshall advised the mare had been treated for a virus after its last start and had been performing well in recent workouts in preparation for tonight's race and he had been confident of a forward showing.
PETER FORSBERG - paced roughly after 150 metres when making contact with the sulky wheel of ABHISHEK. Driver J Abernethy was issued with a warning to exercise greater care when shifting ground. Hampered by a breaking runner first bend. Again hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
SUPA DUPA LUCA - raced wide before improving to the lead near the 1600 metres. Over-raced when being restrained to take a trail near the 1500 metres. Raced over several marker pegs near the 1250 metres when Driver Z Butcher was activating the hopple shorteners. Mr Butcher was issued with a caution for his lack of control in this incident. Checked by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
UNICO GEM - hampered by a breaking runner first bend. Weakened passing the 500 metres. Broke passing the 300 metres losing ground.
FOUR KISSES - over-raced middle stages.
ABHISHEK - paced roughly and broke rounding the first bend but soon settled. Broke near the 300 metres checking trailing runners and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the racing manners of the gelding.
HEZASHADOWPLAYA - underwent a post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of the connections which revealed the gelding to have mucus in the trachea. Co-trainer J Teaz advised that the gelding would be treated prior to resuming.
Race 3   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY TROT
NGAURUHOE - broke near the 500 metres and settled approaching the 350 before breaking again. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had confirmed that this runner had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. When questioned regarding the performance Driver A Poutama advised that the gelding had trotted roughly at various stages and was still inexperienced given that this was only its fourth race day start.
PLAY FOOTSIE - weakened passing the 600 metres.
DEBBIE LEE GALLEON - weakened passing the 400 metres.
CYCLONE LEBRON - broke at the start losing all chance.
LOVE POTION - hampered by a breaking runner near the 850 metres.
PRESIDENTS TOPSHOT - broke near the 850 metres losing all chance.
DOLLY P - slow in the early stages.
SLIPPERY MISTRESS - slow in the early stages. Driver N Balle was spoken to advisedly for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion rounding the final bend and also using it with her foot free of the footrest on one occasion.
Race 4   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
TAKE THE MIKI - raced greenly when leading on several occasions in the middle stages.
MAJOR THOMAS - Trainer D Balle was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding without a saddlecloth. Broke late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the gelding. Weakened leaving the final bend. Driver N Balle was warned for crossing over before reaching the starting point.
UPSIZE ME - forced to race four wide from the 600 metres before breaking near the 500 metres but soon settled. Broke again near the 200 metres. A final warning was placed on the racing manners of the gelding.
LOUTENANT - weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
Race 5   MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS HANDICAP TROT
ERROL D - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
KELVINZ LUCK - trotted roughly racing into the first bend. Held up final bend. Trotted roughly in the run home.
ANDITOVER - Junior Driver Z Meredith reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 6   BOOK YOUR MID-WINTER PARTY AT ALEX PARK MOBILE PACE
YOU LITTLE BEAUTY - paced roughly final bend. Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
TASTE OF DIAMONDS - Co-Trainers S Reid & S McMullan were issued with $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the filly without the notified anti-choke device. Became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of FRANKIE MAJOR near the 1600 metres after a slight easing of the pace.
SYLVIA KAY - Driver L Hollis reported that the removable deafeners had failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
TIME OUT - Driver B Orange reported that he had difficulty activating the removable deafeners early in the run home.
OHOKA CREED - Trainer F Cooney was warned for presenting the gelding with an incorrect saddlecloth. Over-raced middle stages.
NELSON'S BOY - over-raced early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the improved performance Co-Trainer B Hackett advised that the gelding had derived considerable benefit from a change of training regime in a larger stable and the beach environment.
Race 7   BRECKON FARMS 3YO MOBILE TROT
FAITH IN MANCHESTER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 550 metres.
VORONOV - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the gelding. Weakened from the 500 metres.
DREAM OF YOU - broke passing the 550 metres losing all chance.
RAKERO BLAZE - over-raced middle stages.
ONE THIRTYTHREE - raced wide early stages.
ALDEBARAN KEEPA - raced wide early stages. Hung inwards rounding the first bend losing ground.
AMERICAN MUSCLE - raced wide early and middle stages.
CON GRAZIA LOVE - trotted roughly leaving the final bend after contacting the sulky wheel of ALDEBARAN KEEPA when being shifted wider on the track.
ITAINTNECESSARILYSO - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
MYSTIC MAX - lay outwards throughout the run home.
DOUBLE DELIGHT - raced wide early stages.
HIGHGROVE - lay outwards throughout the run home.
Race 8   DAWSON HARFORD LIMITED TAYLOR MILE (MOBILE PACE)
A G'S WHITE SOCKS - hampered and lost ground near the 950 metres. Held up just short of the finish line.
KRUG - raced wide early and middle stages. Locked wheels with SOUTH COAST ARDEN for a distance passing the 950 metres and had to be restrained losing all chance.
CRANBOURNE - raced wide early and middle stages.
IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH - hampered near the 950 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres.
SOUTH COAST ARDEN - raced wide early and middle stages. Lay inwards marginally near the 950 metres and locked wheels with KRUG for a distance and had to be restrained losing all chance. After questioning both drivers Stewards deemed it to be racing incident and took the matter no further.
SELF ASSURED - raced wide early and middle stages. Checked near the 950 metres and had to take evasive action losing ground as a result.
MACH DAN - held up late in the run home.
MAJESTIC CRUISER - driver C Hart advised that the gelding had not felt comfortable right handed for the first time and he would be recommending that the boring pole be removed for racing next week. Mr Hart added that he expected the horse would derive considerable benefit from tonight's race.
Race 9   ATC STEWARDS TROTTERS MILE (MOBILE TROT)
CRAZY - broke near the 1350 losing all chance.
REGAL ATTIRE - hung inwards and trotted roughly final bend losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner in the run home.
INVICTUS - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - shifted outwards rounding final bend. When questioned regarding this Co-Trainer G Hope advised that connections had been mindful that this was the gelding's first race right handed and felt that the horse had not handled the track as well as expected. He further advised that in his opinion MUSCLE MOUNTAIN would derive benefit from the outing and that consideration would be given to making gear changes before racing next week.
SUNDEES SON - when questioned regarding the tactics he adopted near the 800 metres Driver J Dunn advised that due to the tempo of the race he commenced to improve three wide however the pace had increased markedly so he elected to ease and shift back down to the running line. Mr Dunn added that he was satisfied with the performance given the way the race had been run.
Race 10   EARLY NOMS AUCKLAND & ROWE CUP CLOSE 6 MAY MOBILE PACE
EXECUTIVE BANNER - hung inwards and paced roughly at various stages during the running.
RIVERMAN SAM - hampered near the 950 metres when having to be restrained off the back of EXECUTIVE BANNER which paced roughly. Lay inwards and weakened final bend.
