Race 4 - ENTERPRISE RECRUITMENT MOBILE PACE
Trainer G Court advised Stewards on 12 April that WHAKAREHU had recovered well since last racing and had trialed satisfactorily in preparation for racing today.

Race 9 - RICOH "RATTO" SHOWCASE HANDICAP TROT
Driver K Cameron (RED HARBOUR) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he allowed his runner to contact the sulky wheel of MY MOMENT'S NOW near the 2300 metres which punctured with RED HARBOUR then switching to a pace before breaking. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Cameron's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 18 April up to and including 25 April 2022 (3 days).
Race 11 - FIRST DIRECT TAXIS "RATTO" SHOWCASE MOBILE PACE
Driver S Tomlinson (MIGHTY REACTOR) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.

Race 1   THE FAMOUS GROUSE HOTEL LINCOLN TROT
SLAINTE - broke near the 600 metres when leading losing all chance.
RUSH - hung outwards after 100 metres hampering an outside runner. Broke near the 800 metres losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
SUPERFAST WHIZZ - hampered after 100 metres.
MC SQUARED - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
ROYDON MUSCLE - lay outwards near the 200 metres.
BARRYTOWN - broke near the 350 metres losing all chance.
PHOEBE K - trotted roughly in the early stages.
Race 2   CRATE & BARREL LEESTON MOBLE PACE
JUSTIN FUN - briefly paced roughly as the start was effected.
LECONTE - broke after 100 metres hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WRIGGLES RUFUS - hampered by a breaking runner after 100 metres.
CORFU BROMAC - hampered by a breaking runner after 100 metres.
HUTASA - when questioned regarding the performance driver C Thornley advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Connections advised the horse would undergo a further veterinary examination in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
Trainer J McDonald advised Stewards on 20 April that HUTASA was receiving treatment on it's stifles at the completion of which the gelding will continue its preparation for future racing.
Race 3   GAVELHOUSE.COM STANDARDBRED TROT
REINDEER TROUBLE - raced greenly in the run home. When spoken to regarding the performance driver J Morrison reported the mare had hung badly causing him considerable difficulty. Trainer M Heenan advised that he would give consideration to having an equine dentist examine the horse in the coming days and will freshen the mare prior to resuming.
NORDIC PRINCE - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
GINAS MAJESTY - hampered shortly after the start.
GOTTA TICKET - swung inwards at the start hampering an inside runner. Broke after 150 metres losing considerable ground.
MENTALIST - broke near the 200 metres.
PRESIDENT PAT - slow in the early stages and trotted roughly losing ground. Again trotted roughly late in the run home.
Race 4   JOHNNY DUNN / TIMMY WILLIAMS MOBILE PACE
WHAKAREHU - raced greenly throughout. Hung inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
NINE MILE MAX - broke near the 200 metres.
BACKBURN - raced wide early stages. Hung inwards and struck track markers rounding the final bend.
FLOSSY REIGN - hampered near the 1500 metres.
FLYAWAY - over-raced then broke near the 1500 metres hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
Race 5   GRAHAM BUNZ MEMORIAL PACE
PRETTY CARYL - raced greenly over the crossing passing the 1700 metres.
STAR MAGIC - trainer G Smith was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the colt to race with removable deafeners which were not notified. Raced greenly in the run home before breaking near the 200 metres.
LAY ON MACDUFF - shifted outwards and locked wheels with SARGENT BEST at the start resulting in a trailing runner being checked. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SARGENT BEST - hampered at the start after locking wheels with LAY ON MACDUFF.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - held up early stages of the run home.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - raced four wide from the 900 metres.
IRON WOMAN - held up early stages of the run home.
BEYOND A SHADOW - checked at the start losing all chance.
Race 6   'UP THE RABBITOHS' JUNIOR DRIVER MOBILE PACE
ROCKNROLL DIVA - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SOPHIA BROMAC - junior driver C Dalgety was warned for half carting passing the 1700 metres
BOARDING CALL - paced roughly throughout the run home.
Race 7   JULIA & STEVIE GOLDING AT HARCOURTS MOBILE PACE
KANSAS CITY JIM - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
SIX TIMES A LADY - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
GOSAKHI - Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule when the mare shifted ground outwards passing the 1200 metres. After reviewing the films Stewards were satisfied that the mare had commenced to shift outwards prior to SHEEZAGOLDENGIRL reaching its sulky wheel. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Cameron reported that the mare had never travelled well and he was disappointed with the effort. Caretaker trainer C McDowell also expressed disappointment and was at a loss to explain the performance. Stewards will follow up with Mr McDowell in the coming days regarding the recovery of the mare.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - weakened on the final bend.
SHEEZAGOLDENGIRL - lay outwards late in the score up briefly hampering an outside runner.
CHANGEOVER JO - briefly hampered in the score up.
RAFA NOVAK - raced wide early stages.
BEEPS - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - when questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding caretaker trainer B Negus said the horse had benefitted from a drop in calibre of opposition from its most recent start and had received an economical run throughout. Mr Negus added the horse races well on grass tracks and had been working well in the lead up to today's race.
Trainer C McDowell advised Stewards on 20 April that GOSAKHI had recovered well and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 8   JONTY'S JOURNEY PACE
DISMARA - broke at the start losing ground.
WATCHING OUR COIN - fractious prior to the start.
SEAPRIS - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened final bend.
SHADY RULER - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
ROCK N DIAMONDS - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
THE HORNET - broke at the start losing ground.
CHARLIE'S ACE - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 9   WESTVIEW LOVES JONTY MOBILE PACE
BETTORLINI - held up until late in the run home. Driver R May advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds in consequence.
HOME GROWN - raced without front shoes which were removed before the start. When questioned regarding the performance trainer K Austin advised that the gelding had peaked on its run in the home straight and felt the horse would derive significant benefit from its first start for a month. Mr Austin also said that he would be adding sliding blinds to the gelding's gear prior to resuming.
HONEY FAVOURITE - held up over the concluding stages.
Race 10   PAUL RENWICK JOINERY TROT
ALDEBARAN HEATHER - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
DD'S SUPER STUART - driver J Markham advised that the gelding had over-raced through the middle stages when in the parked position.
CLASSIC CALL - trainer M Edmonds was issued with a warning for the late notification of removable deafeners. Broke near the 1900 metres losing ground. Driver R May reported the gelding had been striking its sulky wheels. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SILVERLININGS - trotted roughly in the run home.
Race 11   MORRIE MOLLOY MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
STAR REACTOR - over-raced middle stages. Hung outwards rounding the final bend when weakening.
ARTATAC - driver G Thornley advised the gelding had hung inwards over the concluding stages.
PERAKI REACTOR - raced wide early stages. Lay outwards in the run home.
BOULTON HOME - driver S O'Reilly reported that she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
