Race 1   WYNDHAM WORKOUTS COMMITTEE JUNIOR DRIVERS TROT
EMMA LOUISE - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 11.35am.
WINNING BONES - held up until late in the run home.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - slow to begin.
CODY BANNER - lay inwards for a short distance near the 1600 metres when attempting to take the lead. Broke near the 40 metres and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a Protest against 3rd placing being awarded alleging this gelding was lapped on by the 4th placed DWINDLE STAR. Connections did not contest the Protest and after viewing replays the Adjudicative Committee relegated CODY BANNER to 4th placing with DWINDLE STAR promoted to 3rd placing.
ANDIAMO - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly in the run home.
OUR PINOCCHIO - broke after 100 metres losing all chance.

R U WATCHING ME - held up early in the run home.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - held up early in the run home. Lay inwards over the concluding stages of the home straight when under pressure.
MAJOR FIRE - raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres. Paced roughly near the 900 metres and had to be steadied.
CELTIC ABBEY - lay inwards racing into the first bend. Held up and paced roughly early in the run home. Broke near the 100 metres.
Race 3   CAMERON CONTRACTING 2002 LTD HANDICAP TROT
WILLANGUS LAD - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
ONLY ONE WAY - driver K Barclay reported she did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SPRINGBANK MASON - trotted roughly rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
Race 4   HERBERTS TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
TANGIER TANGO - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend and was again held up throughout the run home with driver J Morrison reporting he did not release the removable deafeners or activate the sliding blinds as a consequence.
SWEDISH STARLET - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
ATARAH - raced wide early. Weakened on the final bend.
THE MIGHTY MONDO - raced wide early.
FRIENDLY EYRE - junior driver M Hurrell reported he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the gelding pacing fluently today as opposed to previous starts when it had paced roughly.
VINTAGE ROSE - out of position at the start. Driver K Barclay was issued with a warning.
MIDNITETRAINTOGEORGA - broke near the 1900 metres and was retired from the race after a hopple side carrier came adrift. The gear was subsequently inspected and found to have been taped and in previous good condition with no further action required.
Race 5   UDY'S GRAIN & FEED MOBILE PACE
ART PROFILE - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
MONGOLIAN MACHETE - weakened leaving the final bend.
YOUNG GEORGE - over-raced in the middle stages.
SWEET REVENGE - raced wide early. Driver C Ferguson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. When asked to comment on the improved performance Mr Ferguson advised the gelding had been trialling well since being acquired recently and had benefitted from gear changes and being removed from the Unruly since last racing.
ROLLON SUMMER - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1500 metres. Weakened on the final bend. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Barclay advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no tangible excuse.
JACCKA OPA - raced wide early.
VAN LIBERTY - held up early in the run home and was briefly hampered passing the 200 metres.
ROCKNROLL LOVER - raced four-wide from the 700 metres.
ROCKMYSTER - broke near the 1100 metres.
WATTLEBANK ARNIE - hung inwards early in the run home placing VAN LIBERTY in restricted room and had to be corrected by driver T Williams.
HE'S A MEISTER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Barclay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 6   DANNY CRENGLE SHEARING GOLD CHIP FINAL (HANDICAP TROT)
FATHER ON DOWN - broke after 100 metres and continued on in a break for a considerable distance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer A Paisley.
THE BRONX BOMBER - connections advised the mare would be racing in season today. Tangled away. Weakened on the final bend.
ONE MORE MOMENT - broke passing the 300 metres.
YUKON RIVER - trotted roughly passing the 600 metres and had to be steadied.
IN THE GROOVE - held up leaving the final bend.
CHEVAL ROUGE - broke rounding the first bend.
DENN NEE'S SISTER - trotted roughly passing the 900 metres before weakening. Connections were advised the mare was stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to resuming.
WESTLAND PEAK - broke at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend. Broke again briefly passing the 400 metres. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking at the start.
SVELT - weakened on the final bend.
GRANNY ROSE - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Broke again passing the 1000 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MAKE MY DAY - broke passing the 200 metres.
Race 7   MACCA LODGE NZ KINDERGARTEN STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
THE BLACK FLASH - raced wide early. Held up early in the run home.
Race 8   HUNTER FAMILY HANDICAP PACE
PERONI - broke at the start losing ground. Paced roughly racing into the first bend.
LOVE ON THE ROCKS - checked near the 800 metres. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
TOMMY WATERHOUSE - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Checked near the 800 metres. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied this gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking at the start.
WARLOCH - checked near the 800 metres. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
PADDYPROUDFOOT - faltered and broke passing the 800 metres checking trailing runners and being retired from the race. The gelding was immediately attended to by the on course Veterinarian before being placed in the Horse Ambulance and transported to the stabling area to undergo a Veterinary examination which revealed PADDYPROUDFOOT to have an injury to the right hind pastern. Connections were advised the gelding was stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 9   MLT MOBILE PACE
COOL IDEA - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
TISBURY ROCKS - raced wide early. Weakened on the final bend.
DANGEROUS - raced wide early.
MR MCLAREN - raced wide early.
HOKONUI SAM - held up early in the run home.
HURRICANE HENDRIX - lay inwards throughout the home straight despite the efforts of driver N Williamson.
Trainer B Willis advised on 2nd May that TINTORETTO had its joints treated since last racing.
Race 10   ASTRA STU & JEAN MOBILE PACE
QUADDIE VC - driver B Barclay reported he did not release the removable deafeners or activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
GOTTA ELECT BILL - paced roughly early and had to be steadied. When asked to comment on the performance driver M Williamson advised he was disappointed and in his opinion the gelding maybe coming to the end of its current preparation.
WRECKING BALL - raced wide early.
ONEDIN HURRICANE - raced wide early and wide without cover from the 700 metres.
Race 11   NEVELE R STUD/MACCA LODGE SOUTHERN OAKS HEAT (MOB PACE)
MOONLITE DREAM - hung outwards racing into the first bend checking COURAGE REACTOR which broke. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Again hung outwards rounding the final bend losing ground.
COURAGE REACTOR - checked and broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
FEELTHEJOY - raced wide early.
AARDIE'S EXPRESS - driver T Williams reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 12   WYNDHAM HRC CENTENNIAL 2023 MOBILE PACE
MACH'S BACK - weakened on the final bend.
YOROKOBI - weakened on the final bend. When asked to comment on the performance junior driver M Hurrell could offer no explanation other than that the gelding may have been unsuited to racing parked on a fast tempo. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with trainer C Ferguson in the coming days.
MABALENE - Junior driver S O'Reilly reported she did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
WOLFENSTEIN - over-raced on various occasions during the running. Weakened on the final bend.
Trainer C Ferguson advised Stewards on 21 April that YOROKOBI had recovered well since last racing and the gelding will continue with the current preparation.
