TIGHT N BRIGHT - broke near the 2000 metres losing ground. Broke again near the 500 metres losing all chance.
CASHEM - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Cameron advised the gelding had to work too hard in the early stages.
MC SQUARED - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
PHOEBE K - broke at the start losing all chance.
THE FIERY COUNTESS - checked and broke near the 600 metres losing all chance and was retired from the race.
RANDOM SPUR - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
TIOGA PASS - broke at the start. Broke again near the 600 metres checking a trailing runner and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DHONI TROUBLE - trotted roughly early stages. Weakened final bend.
ROYDON MUSCLE - shifted ground outwards abruptly near the 200 metres and continued to hang despite the efforts of driver R Holmes. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

AMELIA ROSE - raced four wide from the 800 metres.
ON REPORT - raced wide early. Driver G O'Reilly reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
MATADOR - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MISTER BLUE SKY - raced greenly and broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

ATOMIC TRAVELLER - over-raced middle stages.
BEYOND A SHADOW - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver J Dunn reported the mare had capitalised on a handier barrier draw which enabled the horse to enjoy a more economical run and be saved for one run.
BACKBURN - broke at the start checking outside runner. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
PAYTONS ROCK - broke at the start. Checked shortly after the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
SARGENT BEST - raced wide without cover from the 800 metres. Paced roughly passing the 100 metres and had to be steadied.
PACIFIC CLIPPER - broke after 100 metres when driver J Curtin activated the hopple shorteners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

WEBS REACTOR - held up final bend and early in the run home by a weakening runner.
HONOUR SCROLL - raced wide without cover from the 1200 metres. Weakened final bend.
ROCK TO THE BOSS - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Newman advised the gelding had to work hard early and had received pressure mid race which had been detrimental to its chances.
CHANGEOVER JO - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
GOSAKHI - raced wide early.
FROSTY RECEPTION - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver L O'Reilly advised the mare had appreciated the strong tempo and had been able to capitalise on being saved for one run.
RAFA NOVAK - held up final bend by a weakening runner and until late in the run home.
KANSAS CITY JIM - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had appreciated the strong tempo and had been able to capitalise on being saved for one run. Mr Dunn was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 5   DOUG McCORMICK MEMORIAL TROT
READY I AM - held up early in the run home.
AIGUILLE - broke over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
PARIS PRINCE - Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1400 metres when GRANNY ROSE briefly raced wider on the track. After viewing the replays it was established that PARIS PRINCE had commenced to shift wider prior to GRANNY ROSE reaching its sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
BELLEROPHONTE - broke near the 1100 metres losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
MAKE MY SUNDON - broke near the 2100 metres losing ground. Hampered and broke again near the 400 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
KOHLI TROUBLE - broke near the 1100 metres losing ground. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
MERLOT - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
MOONS WAY - broke near the 400 metres hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance.
GRANNY ROSE - briefly raced wider on the track near the 1400 metres when PARIS PRINCE shifted outwards.

DON'T QUOTE ME - briefly held up near the 100 metres.
KOWHAI SHADOW - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field.
HONEY FAVOURITE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages.
BETTERTHANHOPE - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home. Driver J Hay was warned for using his whip free of the rein in the run home.
SEAPRIS - held up throughout the run home.

MR PERFECT - began awkwardly.
TOM MARTIN - broke at the start losing ground.
CHAMPAGNEANDWINE - held up early in the run home.
MANJIMUP - broke at the start losing ground.
SHE'S TOUGH - trainer B Mowbray advised Stewards that the mare has had its hocks treated since last racing.
CORRAVALLY STAR - shifted down the track near the 100 metres placing an inside runner in restricted room. Junior driver S Thornley was issued a warning. Held up over the concluding stages.
KISS THE GIRLS - permission was granted for the gelding to race in alternative colours. Broke at the start losing ground.
CYA ART - held up early in the run home and broke briefly near the 250 metres when attempting to shift ground inwards to obtain clear running.
HOMEBUSH LAD - crowded near the 100 metres and contacted a track marker.
