Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE TROT
READY I AM - hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
AIGUILLE - trotted roughly in the run home.
TOP HAT AND TAILS - broke in the score up and continued on in a break for a considerable distance and was taken wider on the track losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
MURANO - broke near the 300 metres losing all chance.
Race 2   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
RAMADA - hung outwards and raced greenly middle stages. Broke briefly passing the 1050 metres hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SARGENT BEST - when questioned regarding the performance driver R May could offer no explanation other than the gelding may not have been suited to racing parked.
FLYAWAY - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly near the 1600 metres after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of TREASURE TRAIL. Hampered near the 1050 metres and broke losing its chance.
TAYLA ME - co-trainers C & C Dalgety were warned for presenting the filly with blinds which had not been notified. Raced wide early. Paced roughly leaving the final bend and again late in the run home.
CORFU BROMAC - out of position at the start. Driver C DeFilippi was issued a warning.
TAKE A HIKE - broke near the 1700 metres losing ground.
Race 3   EMERSONS LOW CARB PACIFIC PILSNER PACE
DON'T BRING LULU - hung inwards final bend striking several track markers.
LET'S GO RINGO - checked by a breaking runner near the 800 metres.
MAJIC MOMENT - shied when leading and broke briefly near the 800 metres resulting in trailing runners being checked. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
BAILEYS PITCH - broke briefly shortly after the start. Checked by a breaking runner near the 800 metres.
GRINNING AGAIN - checked by a breaking runner near the 800 metres. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M Heenan advised the gelding had appreciated being removed from the unruly and being able to race in a more forward position.
BACKBURN - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trainer/driver K Cox advised she would be making gear changes prior to resuming.
RIMU VALLEY - broke briefly near the 1700 metres. Checked by a breaking runner near the 800 metres.
NADIRA FRANCO - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 3pm.
BLUE ON BLACK - inconvenienced near the 800 metres. Held up final bend.
Race 4   THE CROSSING HANDICAP TROT
RACHMANINOV - began awkwardly.
ALDEBARAN HEATHER - broke after 100 metres losing ground. Broke near the 1900 metres losing ground and again near the 750 metres losing all chance.
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT - lay inwards final bend striking track markers. Broke near the 200 metres.
BELLEROPHONTE - broke after 150 metres losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened near the 600 metres.
WINNING BONES - weakened final bend.
ESCARGO - over-raced early and middle stages causing driver S Ottley considerable difficulty and raced clear in the lead despite her efforts. Miss Ottley reported the mare had been striking its sulky wheels throughout.
Race 5   THE COMMORDORE HOTEL MOBILE PACE
EMMY - contacted sulky stays with WOODLEA DIEGO late in the run home.
WOODLEA DIEGO - contacted the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver K Cox was issued a warning. Lay outwards in the home straight when utilising the passing lane and contacted sulky stays with EMMY late in the run home.
ELO LOUISE - held up final bend and throughout the run home. Driver K Cameron reported the removable deafeners had not been released in consequence.
SUNTAN - struck the gate simultaneously to jumping a shadow on the track at the start and broke losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
MANZINI - paced roughly in the score up and had to be steadied. Held up leaving the final bend.
Race 6   NZB STANDARDBRED 2YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE
JUDINE - lay inwards throughout the run home.
ALEKS KRISTINA - paced roughly late in the score up and in the early stages. Over-raced at various stages throughout. Weakened final bend.
MYSTIFY ME - held up early in the run home.
Race 7   NEVELE R STUD TROTTERS MOBILE FLYING MILE
TIME UP THE HILL - driver K Cox reported the mare had trotted roughly throughout the run home and she was unable to place the horse under any pressure.
MIDNIGHT DASH - trotted roughly early in the run home and had to be steadied. Driver M Williamson advised the gelding had trotted roughly at various stages throughout.
HEAVYWEIGHT HERO - over-raced early and middle stages. A clip on the breastplate detached during the running and hung loose.
Race 8   THE BOX SEAT MOBILE PACE
FRANCO NORTON - paced roughly in the score up and broke however was in position at the start. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Thornley advised the gelding had to work hard in the early stages with the effort taking its toll.
ARTATAC - over-raced middle stages. Held up middle stages of the run home.
TERROR MARIA - held up final bend and early in the run home. Driver C DeFilippi admitted using his whip free of the rein on one occasion and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 1 April up to and including 10 April 2022 (3 days).
CHAL PATCH - raced wide early.
Race 9   MORE FM MOBILE TROT
TRIXTON TIME - pre-race warmed. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
GAZ MAN - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
QUIK SHOT - held up final bend and contacted the track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver T Williams was issued a warning.
IDLE STUARTIA - weakened final bend.
MAJESTIC ACTION - trainer T Yesberg advised the mare has now been retired from racing.
MAJESTIC CHICK - raced wide early.
Race 10   HAGLEY WINDOWS & DOORS MOBILE PACE
MCCRIKEY - over-raced middle stages. Raced inside track markers near the 150 metres. Driver R May reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869(7B) against 1st placing being awarded to the gelding alleging it had gained an advantage when shifting inside the marker line to obtain clear running near the 150 metres. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from driver R May and Stewards the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. Mr May was warned to make a greater effort to ensure he does not race inside track markers in future.
RIVEERED - paced roughly early and had to be steadied.
AMERICAN SNIPER - over-raced middle stages.
RON MCKINLEY - paced roughly early. Again paced roughly near the 900 metres and had to be steadied. Broke near the 400 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 11   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
LUELLA - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson reported the mare had worked hard in the early stages which had taken its toll.
ARDEN'S DELIGHT - held up final bend and until late in the run home.
OFF THE EDGE - driver B Weaver was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
