Co-trainer S Telfer advised Stewards on 24 March that RUBY MACH has been sent for a six week spell and would return to trials before resuming.

Race 2 - OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY MOBILE PACE
Trainer A Stuart advised Stewards on 24 March that PAY ME VISA has recovered well following its last start and has since returned to Canterbury. Mr Stuart added that in his opinion the gelding failed to handle the travel to the North Island.

Race 1   CHECK OUT THE CR HIRE EQUIPMENT TROT
STORMS ACOMING - Driver B Towers reported that he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.
VIVID NIGHT - became fractious and was back from its position at the start. Broke near the 400m losing its chance. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion before resuming.
VORONOV - hampered by a breaking runner near the 350m.
MARIA THERESA - broke near the 350m losing its chance. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion before resuming.
TRIXTON BELLE - trotted roughly passing the 1800m losing ground. Broke near the 900m losing its chance.
NGAURUHOE - raced wide early. Driver R Paynter was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion near the 100m.
LIBRARY LADY - weakened final bend.
KEYSTONE COMET - Trainer T Hall was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the entire to race without the notified blinds which were affixed prior to the start.
CYCLONE LEBRON - Driver P Ferguson advised that he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 300m when contacted by the galloping VIVID NIGHT.
MONT BLANC - raced wide early and middle stages before being restrained to the rear. Raced four wide from the 700m. Broke near the 400m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
PRESIDENTS TOPSHOT - cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
Race 2   NZMCA PARKING ON SITE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE TROT
GET ON THE SAUCE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. The outside number became detached from the saddle and hung loose during the running. Weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - broke late in the score up and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Broke again near the 1800m losing further ground before settling.
WINNERS TIME - lay in rounding the bends and again in the run home.
BERRYLICIOUS BABE - over-raced middle stages. Trotted roughly in the run home.
CRAZY - when questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer T Hall advised that the gelding had been trialing well and was dropping back in class from recent racing. Mr Hall added that he was confident of a forward showing.
CON GRAZIA LOVE - lay in rounding the bends.
Race 3   TOTE BURGER 'BEST BET FOR BURGERS' MOBILE PACE
SHARKINE - held up final bend before breaking near the 250 metres. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
COTTON SOCKS - weakened from the 800m. Driver N Balle reported the mare had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare in the coming days.
Trainer D Balle advised Stewards on 28 March that COTTON SOCKS has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing and will be sent for a spell.
Race 4   'THE RACE' 14TH APRIL MOBILE PACE
STILL TRYING - broke in the score up and commenced to buck losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
CLAUDE - paced roughly in the run home.
IDEAL TOMADO - held up early in the run home. Briefly placed in restricted room inside the final 100m.
HEZA PLAYER - sustained a punctured sulky tyre in the middle stages with the tyre and tube coming away from the rim placing the gelding at a considerable disadvantage. Placed in restricted room rounding the final turn and had to be steadied.
MO SZYSLAK - shifted in under driving in the run home placing IDEAL TOMADO in restricted room. Driver P Ferguson was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in the future. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the progress of IDEAL TOMADO had not been impeded in the run home and no further action was deemed necessary. Mr Ferguson was also spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
BERANI - hung inwards and broke near the 1200m losing all chance. Stood down to complete two satisfactory trials before resuming.
DESTINY'S CHILD - back from the Unruly throughout the score up. Paced roughly racing into the first bend. Paced roughly rounding the final turn and shifted outwards despite the efforts of Driver T Cameron placing HEZA PLAYER in restricted room.
JIMMY FOX - held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
Race 5   BLACK DOG FURNITURE TROT
YEA YOU - Driver D Ferguson was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MI ANNA - weakened final bend.
MUMS JEWEL - broke shortly after the start and commenced to buck losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the mare.
SHIFFTY - broke briefly at the start.
SLY PUNTER - hampered after 50m and switched to a pace having to be broken up by his driver losing its chance.
SIR HENRY CASTLETON - had to shift ground outwards in the run home to obtain clear running.
B K MERLOT - broke briefly after the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1200m losing its chance. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion prior to resuming.
Race 6   BARRETT HOMES MOBILE PACE
ARTY TART - lay in throughout and in particular leaving the back straight on the final occasion causing Driver T Macfarlane considerable difficulty and lost ground as a result. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
AMERICAN MAID - raced fiercely in the score up. Paced roughly after 100m and had to be steadied.
MISS LIPPIE - broke in the score up and was out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
Race 7   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
CYCLONE CHARLOTTE - paced roughly rounding the first bend having to be steadied. Held up early in the run home.
BODRUM BOY - locked wheels with SUPERSEDE near the 1150m for a short distance.
DALVEY ROBYN - held up early in the run home. Paced roughly for several strides near the 150m before then laying inwards and having to be corrected by Driver P Ferguson.
THE SPORTSMAN - raced wide without cover throughout.
ACE STRIKE - raced wide early. Held up final bend and early in the run home.
WILD CARD - hampered near the 1150m. Raced wide with cover from the 1050m.
SUPERSEDE - lay outwards near the 1150m and locked wheels with BODRUM BOY for a short distance.
IDEAL PRINCE - weakened final bend.
Race 8   CAMBRIDGE HOMES HANDICAP TROT
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - broke near the 50m.
ALDEBARAN FLAME - trotted roughly at various stages.
ROMEO FOXTROT - held up briefly final turn.
KRISTOFFERSON - broke near the 1800m losing ground.
CRAZY - underwent a veterinary examination after having competed in Race 2 and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
AGOSTINI - broke passing the 1150m losing ground. Broke again near the 150m.
Race 9   CLUBHOUSE SPORTS BAR - UFC APRIL 10TH MOBILE PACE
HARRY KANE - paced roughly and broke shortly after the start settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners. Over-raced middle stages.
FALCONS WATCH - held up by a weakening runner near the 400m.
BORIS YELTSIN - hung inwards and paced roughly near the 900m losing ground.
FLETCH MAGUIRE - hung inwards final bend and struck several track markers when weakening.
CYA DOIT - raced wide early.
TUGAWAR - hung outwards and paced roughly rounding the first bend. Raced wide from the 1250m and then without cover from the 1000m. Weakened from the 400m.

COMEDY ACT - Trainer T Hall was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the entire to race without the notified blinds which were affixed prior to the start. Paced roughly early and had to be settled. Over-raced middle stages.
MR WONDERFUL - paced roughly and broke passing the 1800m losing ground before settling.
CHRIS KYLE - Amateur Driver J Darby admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.
