Trainer K Norman advised Stewards on 17 March that a post-race veterinary examination of I SPY on returning to his stable revealed no abnormalities with the filly being sent for a spell.
Northern Southland TC - Saturday, 12th March 2022
Race 5 - MOSSDALE RACING MOBILE PACE
Trainer B Gray advised Stewards on 17 March that THE HIGH COMMANDER had recovered well from its last start with the gelding continuing with its current preparation.
Race 6 - ALABAR SUPREMACY STAKES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE
Co-trainer G Anderson advised Stewards on 17 March that CANTFINDABETTORMAN is recovering well after last racing and is continuing with its current preparation.
Race 8 - KUBALA SEEDS MOBILE PACE
Trainer B Nicol advised Stewards on 17 March that blood tests taken from CAST A SHADOW after last racing showed no abnormalities adding the horse is having a brief spell before resuming its preparation.

Race 1   CALDWELL CONTRACTING LTD MOBILE PACE
JABALI - held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home. When asked to comment on the improved performance trainer R Hope advised he was at a loss to explain the previous effort, adding the gelding had worked well during the week in preparation for today and had benefitted from the addition of a tongue tie.
TAD LINCOLN - weakened from the 600 metres.
ARLO MAGUIRE - weakened leaving the final bend. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed in the effort however could offer no tangible explanation.
LOCK IT IN EDDIE - raced wide from the 1400 metres before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 900 metres after being unable to muster enough speed to improve to the parked position.
ELLZ ANGEL - lay inwards over the concluding stages.
Race 2   RAGING BULL AT MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed approximately 4 minutes due to DURRANT requiring farrier attention.
DIDSHEDOIT - weakened from the 700 metres. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Orange could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with trainer M Swain in the coming days.
SIMPLY DELIGHTFULL - held up by a weakening runner near the 600 metres. Placed in restricted room passing the 250 metres and had to be steadied.
RAKAJED - raced wide without cover from the 800 metres. Lay inwards leaving the final bend and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of MATAI CHARLOTTE when being shifted wider on the track.
ART PROFILE - weakened on the final bend.
ONELOVEONELIFE - held up by a weakening runner near the 600 metres.
DURRANT - held up by a weakening runner near the 600 metres. Lay inwards leaving the final bend.
BOO - lay inwards on the bends.
Trainer M Swain advised Stewards on 24 March that DIDSHEDOIT has recovered well and he will be continuing with the mare's current preparation.

DARLING ME - raced wide early. Driver T Williams reported he did not release the removable deafeners on the mare due to having the field covered.
Race 4   KUBALA SEEDS LTD MOBILE PACE
RAGING ON - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
MAJOR FIRE - raced wide early. Hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
WATTLEBANK ARNIE - over-raced in the middle stages.
FOVEAUX STRAIT - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver N Williamson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
AARDIE'S CAPTAIN - weakened on the final bend.
Race 5   FRANKS MOTORCYCLES & 4 SPARES MOBILE PACE
BRIGADIERS SON - held up on the final bend and early in the run home. Paced roughly near the 250 metres after contacting the sulky wheel of THE COBBLER when placed in tight quarters despite the efforts of driver J Morrison.
SWEDISH STARLET - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
SASSY'S VC - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
TARTAN RAIDER - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field to obtain cover.
COOL IDEA - weakened on the final bend.
MR MCLAREN - raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
ARNIES ARMY - lay inwards leaving the final bend placing an inside runner in restricted room. Paced roughly in the run home and shifted down the track.
MIGHTY REACTOR - paced roughly throughout. Held up on the final bend then raced in restricted room early in the run home.
THE COBBLER - when asked to comment on the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed in the effort however could offer no tangible explanation.
Race 6   NIP CROOKS MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
BIZZIE LOU - over-raced early. Held up for clear racing room passing the 200 metres.
DANGEROUS - over-raced early when being restrained to the rear of the field.
Race 7   NEVELE R STUD/MACCA LODGE SOUTHERN OAKS HEAT MOBILE PACE
PRIMA DONNA - over-raced in the middle stages.
Race 8   MLT WYNDHAM CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
DOCTOR TIM - tangled away.
AIRWAVES - faltered on pulling up after the race and was immediately attended to by the on-course Veterinarian before being placed in the Horse Ambulance. A post-race Veterinary examination failed to detect any lameness with the gelding recovering well. Stewards will follow up the progress of the horse with trainer C Laurenson in the coming days.
BETA THAN LOVE - broke at the start losing ground. Checked and broke near the 300 metres.
YOROKOBI - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 2.30pm.
SHE'S TOUGH - forced wider on the track near the 1200 metres. Weakened on the final bend. Driver S Tomlinson was issued with a warning for the manner she drove racing into the first bend when easing the pace in the one out line which hampered trailing runners.
MACH'S BACK - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 300 metres. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Driver B Barclay was warned for using his whip when out of contention.
CORRAVALLY STAR - Junior driver S Thornley (assisted by B Barclay) admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule when shifting ground outwards near the 1200 metres forcing SHE'S TOUGH wider on the track. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
IDEALISM - hampered racing into the first bend when there was an easing of the pace and had to be steadied.
TAIRLAW TOLL - hampered racing into the first bend when there was an easing of the pace and had to be steadied. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
LOVE ON THE ROCKS - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend and was then further hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
MIDFREW LUISIANABEAU - fractious prior to the start. Broke as the start was effected hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced in the middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
TOMMY WATERHOUSE - hampered and forced wider on the track racing into the first bend when there was an easing of the pace.
WARLOCH - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MEMPHIS TENNESSEE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start and broke in consequence.
PADDYPROUDFOOT - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
Race 9   NEVILLE CRONIN MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
MISS BAMBOOCHA - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
FAST WHISPERING - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Sent to the Unruly position by the Starter. Stood on the mark as the barriers were released losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
DENN NEE'S SISTER - broke after 100 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
KING CASSIDY - trotted roughly in the run home.
ONE TWO MENNY - over-raced in the middle stages. Trotted roughly and commenced to weaken passing the 600 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 10   MACCA LODGE NZ KINDERGARTEN STAKES 14TH APRIL MOBILE PACE
WATTLEBANK STAR - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - over-raced when leading through the middle stages. Weakened on the final bend.
WITH A BANG - shifted outwards in the run home when being driven out. Driver C Ferguson was issued with a warning to make a greater effort to ensure he maintains a straight course in the run home. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken with driver B Orange (2nd placed SMOKIN ANNIE) who confirmed his chances had not been affected when briefly hampered by WITH A BANG in the run home.
SMOKIN ANNIE - briefly hampered in the run home when an inside runner shifted outwards.
BEAUTY BARRY - out of position at the start. Driver K Bublitz was issued with a warning.
