Race 1   BROSNAN TRANSPORT LTD PASSING LANE TROT
TAHIR TROUBLE - broke near the 600 metres losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial.
CASHEM - driver R Holmes was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice after failing to activate the removable deafeners.
SUPERFAST WHIZZ - trotted roughly at various stages throughout.
MC SQUARED - began awkwardly.
RAINING IN MY HEART - trotted roughly final bend and in the run home.
DASHING DUTCHY - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Weakened final bend.
Race 2   LASER ELECTRICAL TIMARU MOBILE PACE
TROUBLE SUPREME - broke briefly early in the score up and recovered to be in position at the start. Paced roughly in the run home.
ALL TOO WELL - raced wide without cover from the 1300 metres. Weakened final bend. Driver C Butt was warned for half carting near the 1500 metres.
SWEET AND SOUR - raced wide early.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - raced wide with cover from the 1300 metres.
SPLASH OF CRIMSON - held up early in the run home.

BLUE ON BLACK - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
HIT THE BEACH - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
DE LA RENTA - trainer A Swain advised that blood tests taken from the mare following its disappointing performance last start failed to reveal any abnormalities.
GRINNING AGAIN - trainer M Heenan was warned for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddlecloth number. Over-raced middle stages. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 4   PARK NIGHT 'N DAY TIMARU MOBILE PACE
AVEROSS RUSTLER - over-raced early. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
PETE'S DASH - a false start was declared when the gelding shifted outwards in the score up locking wheels with MAID OF MONEY. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver K Tomlinson elected to remain in her allocated barrier position for the re-start. Paced roughly in the score up of the re-start.
ROCK TO THE BOSS - raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
DALNESS ARIZONA - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - over-raced throughout. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver D O'Connell reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 5   HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN FAHEY PACE
EYECON - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner.
HONEY FAVOURITE - tangled away. Weakened leaving the final bend.
BROTHER JOHN - began awkwardly. When questioned regarding the performance driver G O'Reilly advised the gelding had worked hard in the middle stages and considering this he was not disappointed with the effort.
POCKET CALL - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide without cover from the 900 metres. Weakened final bend.
TAXMAN - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early in the run home.
BETTERTHANHOPE - raced wide early.
JUSTACE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
Race 6   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES TROT
PRINCE RANIER - driver G Telfer admitted a breach of the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Telfer's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 25 March 2022 (4 days).
HANOVER DA MOON - broke briefly at the start.
SUNDONS FLYER - trainer B Negus advised the mare has been treated for a blood disorder since last racing. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised that her mare had refused to settle when leading after the horse outside her had over-raced through the middle stages which contributed to her runner weakening.
JORDAN ANNE - held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
GLOBAL FLIGHT - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
SKY HIGH FLYER - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
BILL - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
KOWHAI SUNDOWN - broke at the start losing ground. Hung inwards and trotted roughly in the run home.
SOUTH PARK - over-raced through the middle stages. Broke near the 700 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Trainer S Lock advised that he would be restricting the mare to shorter distance races where possible in future.
Race 7   MAY 28 WINTER RACING AT TIMARU MOBILE PACE
I'LL WRITE THE STORY - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Hung inwards final bend striking track markers when weakening.
WILL HE ROCK - paced roughly middle stages. Hung inwards throughout the run home and had to be corrected just prior to the finishing line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DAISY DUKE - raced wide early.
THE OPTIMIST - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend and early in the run home.
