Mr Ward advised that this was at his direction due to the horses turning into address the barrier strand quicker than he had anticipated which would have resulted in the race starting prior to the official race time. | |

DIDSHEDOIT - when asked to comment on the improved performance trainer M Swain advised he was not surprised by the effort of the mare today after racing well last week when getting too far back on a fast pace. Mr Swain added that DIDSHEDOIT had benefitted from a good draw today and an economical trip throughout. | |

CANTFINDABETTORMAN - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Checked near the 100 metres and paced roughly. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have suffered significant abrasions to the inside of the off-front fetlock. Co-trainers G Anderson and M Love advised they will have CANTFINDABETTORMAN undergo a further Veterinary examination on return to its home stable. Stewards will follow up in the coming days. | |
MOSSDALE BEN - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Shifted inwards near the 100 metres making contact with the off fore-leg of CANTFINDABETTORMAN. Junior driver B Hope (assisted by C Barron) admitted that he drove carelessly at this stage of the race. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hope's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing on 18 March up to and including 23 March 2022 (4 days). | |
