Race 7 - VET SOUTH EQUINE SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES MOBILE PACE
Driver T Williams (SHOW ME HEAVEN)) admitted a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner likely to diminish the chances of his runner finishing in its best possible position when failing to ease his runner during the middle stages when being challenged for the lead for a considerable distance with no respite. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williams' licence to drive from the conclusion of racing on 6 March 2022 up to and including 16 March 2022 (5 days) and in addition imposed a fine of $350.

NORDIC PRINCE - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
TAHIR TROUBLE - placed in restricted room near the 1400 metres when BRANDY AND DRY shifted inwards. Broke near the 1100 metres hampering trailing runners and was retired from the event after losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Cast the near fore shoe during the running.
MC SQUARED - broke at the start. Held up early in the run home. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
SUPERFAST WHIZZ - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100 metres.
ROSE ISLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100 metres.
RAINING IN MY HEART - stood on the mark hampering trailing runner. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
BRANDY AND DRY - over-raced early and middle stages. Driver S Iremonger was warned for the manner in which he drove passing the 1400 metres when shifting ground which placed an inside runner in restricted room.

GEORGIA AVEROSS - a false start was declared when GEORGIA AVEROSS contacted the mobile barrier in the score up hampering FERNZ GOLDY. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver S Iremonger elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - briefly held up early in the run home.
NAKULA - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MADAM RULER - out of position at the start.
ALL TOO WELL - out of position at the start.

BLUE ON BLACK - raced inside the last two track markers prior to the finish line. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed no advantage had been gained. Driver B Zampese was issued a warning for allowing his sulky to protrude inside track markers.
LET'S GO RINGO - broke near the 450 metres hampering a trailing runner. Lay inwards in the run home.
MISTER BLUE SKY - the required veterinary clearance was received.
FIRE IN THE RAIN - driver M Edmonds admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Edmonds driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 13 March 2022 (3 days).
DON'T BRING LULU - lay inwards and struck several track markers passing the 1200 metres.
GANA - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 450 metres.
ADHIKA - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
JANARTY - held up in the run home.
AIRIES GOLD - driver G Shand was warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.

REAL MEN WEAR PINK - checked by a breaking runner on the first bend losing all chance before being retired from the event. Driver J Morrison was warned for the manner in which he conducted himself towards another driver after being checked when racing into the first bend.
KADALA - checked by a breaking runner on the first bend.
SWEET AND SOUR - broke racing into the first bend when the hopple carrier came adrift checking trailing runners and losing all chance before being retired from the event. Driver K Tomlinson reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre shortly after the start. Trainer B Williamson, represented by K Tomlinson, was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix the side carrier strap so as not to come adrift.
LAY ON MACDUFF - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable length of time and was cleared to start. Contacted the sulky wheel of SWEET AND SOUR which deflated shortly after the start. Driver D Burrows admitted a charge that he drove carelessly in this incident and the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. Checked by a breaking runner on the first bend.

VIOLET KNIGHT - broke in the score up losing all chance before being retired from the event. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BUDDY REIGN - severely checked and fell on the first bend and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed superficial abrasions.
Race 5   FIONA STUART MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
AWESOME IMPEE - raced inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver P Wakelin was issued a warning.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
POSTGRAD SUCCESS - raced wide early. Lay inwards final bend striking track markers. Weakened over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off fore leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
BAXTER - broke at the start. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break at the start.
Race 6   UPL NZ LTD MOBILE PACE
KANSAS CITY JIM - driver G Thornley reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking.
HONOUR SCROLL - out of position at the start.
BEEPS - out of position at the start.
CHANGEOVER JO - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 2.32pm after being lame in the preliminary. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
ROCK TO THE BOSS - broke briefly in the score up.
Race 7   PHILIP WAREING LTD (CONTRACTORS) TROT
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT - lay inwards over the concluding stages.
READY I AM - broke at the start.
ZSAHARA - broke near the 350 metres.
ANNA'S BOY - broke on the first bend. Broke again near the 400 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - weakened leaving the final bend.
BACARDI PRIDE - faltered and broke near the 1300 metres and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a fractured near fore pastern with the gelding being humanely euthanised.
T BONE RAWHIDE - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SILVERLININGS - stood on the mark losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 8   GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND HORORATA CUP (HCP PACE)
MILS MCARDLE - broke at the start and shifted out making heavy contact with the sulky of MOTOR MOUTH. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 1100 metres after a slight easing of the pace losing all chance.
MOTOR MOUTH - contacted by MILS MCARDLE which shifted out at the start with driver J Gray being unbalanced. Held up early in the run home.
JIMMY ARMA - broke briefly when there was an easing of the pace in the one out line near the 600 metres.
MANJIMUP - held up early in the run home.
SAM'S TOWN - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Hung inwards throughout. Driver J Dunn reported he would be recommending gear changes.
CORRAVALLY STAR - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised the horse had to work hard in the early stages however he was still disappointed with the performance. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
BUCKSKIN - hampered and broke at the start.
ALLAMERICANLOVER - paced roughly near the 100 metres. Driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
HOMEBUSH LAD - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
Trainer B Negus advised Stewards on 13 March that following the disappointing performance of CORRAVALLY STAR he has increased the entire's training workload prior to resuming at Wyndham on 19 March.
Race 9   RAKAIA SEED CLEANING MOBILE PACE
ROCKNROLL DIVA - hung outwards shortly after the start and locked wheels with RUBY'S A DELIGHT and broke briefly.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - locked wheels briefly with ROCKNROLL DIVA which hung outwards shortly after the start.
SPECIALE UNO - raced wide early.
LE POLE DANCER - over-raced in the score up.
DON'T QUOTE ME - driver A Lethaby will be spoken to in the coming days regarding her use of the whip in the run home.
Race 10   TREVOR BEATON MEMORIAL HANDICAP PACE
JUST MICHAEL - broke at the start.
MARK DUNNETT - had to be restrained racing into the first bend when PROTEUS shifted inwards.
TIGER TAYLOR - tangled at the start.
SCELTA UNO - over-raced middle stages.
PROTEUS - driver G Smith was warned for the manner he drove when shifting ground racing into the first bend which crowded an inside runner. Trainer/driver G Smith reported the gelding to be making abnormal breathing noises throughout the race and it was his intention to drive the horse in a more conservative manner should circumstances allow in the future.
TOM MARTIN - driver G O'Reilly was spoken to advisedly for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 11   NUFARM NZ LTD MOBILE PACE
STAC - hung outwards throughout the run home and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver R Close.
DALNESS FIRST - co-trainers G & N Hope were warned for presenting the mare without the notified blinds.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - paced roughly and broke racing into the first bend.
HOME GROWN - over-raced middle stages.
BETTERTHANHOPE - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend.
