Driver B Williamson (MABALENE) admitted a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner likely to diminish the chances of his runner finishing in its best possible position when unsuccessfully challenging for the lead for a considerable distance through the middle stages with no respite. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williamson's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing 6 March 2022 up to and including 20 March 2022 (8 days). |

Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 21 April that SAND WAVE has been treated for a stomach complaint since last racing. Mr Williamson added that the colt's preparation for its next race at Invercargill on 22 April has not been ideal with adverse weather last weekend affecting scheduled workouts and in light of this will be driven accordingly. |

ARLO MAGUIRE - weakened from the 900 metres inconveniencing the trailing SASSY'S VC which over-raced and contacted the sulky of ARLO MAGUIRE resulting in ELLZ ANGEL, TARTAN RAIDER and LOCK IT IN EDDIE being hampered with TARTAN RAIDER breaking briefly. The sulky tyre deflated as a consequence of this incident with the tyre and tube wrapping round the sulky axle. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. | |

TOMMY WATERHOUSE - shifted outwards near the 150 metres simultaneous to LOVE ON THE ROCKS on its outside laying outwards and making contact with the hind leg of BETA THAN LOVE which broke in consequence briefly hampering DOCTOR TIM. After speaking with driver K Barclay and viewing the replays it was established that LOVE ON THE ROCKS had lay outwards when being shifted wider on the track. | |
