Race 3 - MOBILE PACE
Driver B Norman (ARLO MAGUIRE) admitted a charge that he used his whip free of the rein with his foot removed from the sulky footrest and was fined $350 by the Adjudicative Committee.
Invercargill HRC - Friday, 25th February 2022
Race 7 - VET SOUTH EQUINE SOUTHERN BELLE SPEED SERIES MOBILE PACE
Driver B Williamson (MABALENE) admitted a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner likely to diminish the chances of his runner finishing in its best possible position when unsuccessfully challenging for the lead for a considerable distance through the middle stages with no respite. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williamson's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing 6 March 2022 up to and including 20 March 2022 (8 days).

TAKEITOUT - raced greenly on various occasions during the running.
WAYWARD ANGEL - paced roughly in the run home.
MICAITLEN DENARIO - raced wide early.
Race 2   DUNSTAN FEEDS MOBILE PACE
MAJOR BOND - lay outwards leaving the final bend placing an outside runner in restricted room.
I SPY - weakened rounding the final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with trainer K Norman in the coming days.
WATTLEBANK ARNIE - raced greenly on various occasions during the running. Placed in restricted room leaving the final bend.
SIR LANCELOT - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of the Unruly position at the start. Raced wide from the 800 metres.
Trainer K Norman advised Stewards on 17 March that a post-race veterinary examination of I SPY on returning to his stable revealed no abnormalities with the filly being sent for a spell.
Race 3   NEVELE R/MACCA LODGE FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
NETHERTON FRANCO - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home with driver M Williamson reporting he did not activate the sliding blinds as a consequence.
MEGHAN MARKLE - when asked to comment on the improved performance trainer R Wilson advised that the mare had derived benefit from a short spell after suffering an ailment earlier in the year and he had been pleased with her work in the lead up to racing today.
YOU SAID IT - raced wide early.
HEY MIKI DENARIO - lay outwards on various occasions during the running. Held up over the concluding stages.
Race 4   MATTHEW WILLIAMSON - 3 DIAMONDS COLOURS MOBILE PACE
ART PROFILE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
BENJI - held up on the final bend.
SIMPLY DELIGHTFULL - raced wide early. Driver N Williamson reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
NGAROMA - broke near the 200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MONGOLIAN MACHETE - raced wide early.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - over-raced and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of THREETIMESBETTER near the 1800 metres then broke losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
TWO THUMBS UP - weakened rounding the final bend.
TEDDY BAKER - held up in the middle stages of the run home.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - raced wide from the 700 metres.
TIGERS WATCHING - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1400 metres.
Race 5   NEVILLE CLEAVER FISHING HANDICAP TROT
CODY BANNER - broke near the 1300 metres losing ground then over-raced when improving round the field. Broke again near the 750 metres. Stood down to complete one trial to the Stewards satisfaction prior to resuming.
SUNDONS FLYER - lay outwards leaving the final bend.
AFTERBURNER - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300 metres. Driver N Williamson reported his sulky seat had shifted rounding the final bend resulting in him having difficulty maintaining his balance throughout the run home.
JASMINE JACCKA - broke near the 600 metres. Stood down to complete one trial to the Stewards satisfaction prior to resuming.
WILLANGUS LAD - broke near the 850 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ONE TWO MENNY - trotted roughly in the run home. Driver K Larsen reported the gelding had over-raced on various occasions during the running.
LAURIES LEGACY - broke at the start. Broke again near the 500 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

WATCHLIST - driver N Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - over-raced in the middle stages.
Race 7   BILL KEAST MEMORIAL GOLD CHIP FINAL (HANDICAP TROT)
PORT PEGASUS - held up through the middle stages of the run home.
FAST WHISPERING - trotted roughly near the 1800 metres.
MIXED FAITH - broke at the start losing all chance.
NIGHT WATCH - broke after 100 metres losing all chance.
WESTLAND PEAK - trotted roughly in the run home.
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 3rd September 2022 that CHARLIE P has had a wind operation since last racing.
Race 8   ALABAR SOUTHERN SUPREMACY STAKES HEAT 2 (MOBILE PACE)
MOSSDALE TERRY - over-raced in the middle stages.
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 21 April that SAND WAVE has been treated for a stomach complaint since last racing. Mr Williamson added that the colt's preparation for its next race at Invercargill on 22 April has not been ideal with adverse weather last weekend affecting scheduled workouts and in light of this will be driven accordingly.
Race 9   D T KINGS TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
ELLZ ANGEL - hampered by a weakening runner near the 850 metres. Held up on the final bend.
COOL IDEA - driver R McIlwrick was spoken to regarding the manner he used his reins over the latter part of the race.
SASSY'S VC - placed in tight quarters and badly hampered by a weakening runner near the 850 metres.
ARLO MAGUIRE - weakened from the 900 metres inconveniencing the trailing SASSY'S VC which over-raced and contacted the sulky of ARLO MAGUIRE resulting in ELLZ ANGEL, TARTAN RAIDER and LOCK IT IN EDDIE being hampered with TARTAN RAIDER breaking briefly. The sulky tyre deflated as a consequence of this incident with the tyre and tube wrapping round the sulky axle. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
CHANGEAROUND - raced wide early.
TARTAN RAIDER - hampered by a weakening runner near the 850 metres and broke briefly.
LOCK IT IN EDDIE - hampered by a weakening runner near the 850 metres.
Race 10   ALEX JENKINS JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
BIZZIE LOU - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up throughout the run home with junior driver S O'Reilly reporting she did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
LIVY DESMA - out of position at the start. Junior driver M Hill was issued with a warning.
MACH QUILLAN - broke in the score-up however recovered to take up its allocated barrier position at the start. Placed in restricted room due to a slight easing of the pace near the 1750 metres when BIZZIE LOU attempted to shift outwards from the marker line however was unable to do so. Over-raced in the middle stages. Held up on the final bend and throughout the run home with junior driver K Tomlinson reporting she did not release the removable deafeners or activate the sliding blinds as a consequence.
JAFFIE J - hampered by an inside runner in the score-up and broke briefly. Placed in restricted room due to a slight easing of the pace near the 1750 metres when BIZZIE LOU attempted to shift out from the marker line however was unable to do so.
Race 11   SBSR NZ STANDARDBRED SALES TOPPER MOBILE PACE
SCOTLYNN BEACH BOY - held up on the final bend.
AMERICAN MAC - junior driver M Hurrell was issued with a warning for loose reining in the home straight.
ARIELLA - over-raced in the score-up.
DRESS CODE - when asked to comment on the performance driver B Orange could offer no tangible excuse. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
CAST A SHADOW - raced wide early.
MELTON MAFIA - driver J Campbell was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
Race 12   PEMBROOK PLAYBOY IN 'THE RACE' MOBILE PACE
BETA THAN LOVE - over-raced in the early stages. Contacted by an inside runner near the 150 metres and broke in consequence.
DOCTOR TIM - briefly hampered near the 150 metres.
MACH'S BACK - paced roughly from the 400 metres before breaking leaving the final bend.
TOMMY WATERHOUSE - shifted outwards near the 150 metres simultaneous to LOVE ON THE ROCKS on its outside laying outwards and making contact with the hind leg of BETA THAN LOVE which broke in consequence briefly hampering DOCTOR TIM. After speaking with driver K Barclay and viewing the replays it was established that LOVE ON THE ROCKS had lay outwards when being shifted wider on the track.
LOVE ON THE ROCKS - lay outwards passing the 150 metres making contact with BETA THAN LOVE with junior driver M Hurrell being unbalanced in the sulky. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
