BETTORLINI - out of position at the candy pole. Driver R May was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
Race 2   NZB STANDARDBRED MOBILE PACE
MIGHTY REACTOR - over-raced middle stages.
BAILEYS DIAMOND - held up throughout the run home. Declared a non runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(k) with all bets being refunded after starting from the incorrect barrier position of 8 instead of its allocated barrier position of 5 due to having the incorrect saddlecloth number on. Trainer D Taylor (represented by J Morrison) was fined $350 by the Adjudicative Committee after presenting his stable runners BAILEYS DIAMOND (R Close) and BEST TRIO (J Morrison) with the incorrect saddlecloth numbers.
BEST TRIO - over-raced middle stages. Declared a non runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(k) with all bets being refunded after starting from the incorrect barrier position of 5 instead of its allocated barrier position of 8 due to having the incorrect saddlecloth number on.
SNEAK A PEEK - over-raced middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
Race 3   SPEIGHTS MOBILE TROT
READY I AM - over-raced early. Lay inwards final bend striking several track markers. Driver P Wakelin advised the gelding had lay in when she was attempting to activate gear.
TRIXTON TIME - pre-race warmed.
GAZ MAN - trainer R Todd was warned for not having the correct colours available.
STEEL DUST - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 900 metres losing all chance.
MUSCLE BANK - weakened final bend. Driver G Smith reported the gelding had hung throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 4   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS MOBILE TROT
RUSH - broke near the 250 metres. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
COSMIC ANGEL - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
WESTAR MILLY - co-trainers G & N Hope were warned for being late to notify the filly would be racing with an Anti Choke Device.
BELLEROPHONTE - checked near the 1100 metres losing ground. Broke near the 300 metres.
ROYDON MUSCLE - raced greenly and shifted up the track abruptly near the 1100 metres severely checking an outside runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 5   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
BETTER FLY - raced roughly late in the score up and for a distance shortly after the start.
PERAKI REACTOR - weakened leaving the final bend. Stewards will follow up with connection in the coming days.
DUFFY HOLLOW - the required veterinary clearance was received. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 550 metres.
BETTOR GRUNTER - raced wide early.
ACENTO - raced wide early. Weakened near the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an irregular heart beat. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG.
RIVEERED - raced roughly when attempting to improve wide on the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver J Cox advised the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed mucus and inflammation in the trachea. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
HE'S TOUGH - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
Trainer G Payne advised Stewards on 11 March that blood tests taken from PERAKI REACTOR subsequent to its disappointing performance last start have revealed several irregularities which have been treated.
Race 6   HOTEL MONTREAL HANDICAP TROT
TIME UP THE HILL - trotted roughly in the run home.
THE BLOSS - over-raced middle stages.
REPEAT PAT - hung inwards and struck track markers near the 500 metres.
FIGHTING FIRE - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres. Weakened final bend.
THE PLAYER - pre-race warmed. Broke passing the 900 metres losing ground and hampering a trailing runner. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MAJESTIC CHICK - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
PHOEBE ONYX - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Butt advised he had been unable to improve his position due to the fast tempo throughout from his 30 metre handicap.
CHIEF OF STAFF - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he had been unable to improve his position due to the fast tempo throughout from his 30 metre handicap.
Race 7   RICOH PACE
MEGAROCK - underwent a pre-race race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start.
BOLZANO - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
GRONKOWSKI - stood on the mark losing ground.
WATCHING OUR COIN - driver M Edmonds was warned for the manner he drove near the 1900 metres when half carting.
DANNEMORA - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 8   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS HANDICAP TROT
VERTIGO - began awkwardly. Driver L McCormick reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
BOSS KENNY - trotted roughly in the run home.
ALI LINDENNY - over-raced when being restrained to trail at the 1900 metres.
AWESOME IMPEE - the connections advised the mare would be racing in season. Began awkwardly. Trotted roughly in the run home.
SILVERLININGS - broke at the start. Trotted roughly final bend before breaking near the 400 metres losing all chance.
MAGNIFIQUE DIMANCHE - driver K Cox reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously satisfactory condition.
PRINCE TEKA - broke briefly at the start.
ESCARGO - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 400 metres.
Race 9   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
SERG BLANCO - held up early in the run home and paced roughly when shifting ground near the 150 metres to obtain clear running.
YOROKOBI - lay outwards late in the run home.
A BETTOR ACT - over-raced middle stages.
HEZA SPORT - held up final bend and early in the run home.
SAMHARA - hung outwards late in the score up.
