GEORGE THE FIRST - trotted roughly in the early stages. Broke near the 1750 metres losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Again trotted roughly from the 700 metres.
ACTION PACKED - driver K Franks admitted a charge that he used his whip free of the rein in the home straight and was fined $200 by the Adjudicative Committee.
THE POWER BROKER - pre-race warmed.
GENTLE MAC - trotted roughly on the final bend and again late in the run home.
Race 2   CARPET PLUS WILLY'S FLOORING MOBILE PACE
NGAROMA - broke in the score-up however recovered to take up its allocated position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened on the final bend.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - raced fiercely in the score-up.
TALIESIN - when asked to comment on the performance driver N Williamson advised he was disappointed with the effort however could offer no explanation.
CELTIC ABBEY - trainer M Williams was issued with a warning for being late to notify that this mare would be racing with removable deafeners. Raced wide without cover throughout. Weakened from the 600 metres.
TASHS BAD GIRL - weakened from the 600 metres.
HERITAGE - weakened on the final bend.
TIGERS WATCHING - raced wide with cover throughout.
BLACKJACK ROAD - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ROCK MY MIND - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 3   EH BALL ITM MOBILE PACE
HENRY MAGUIRE - lay inwards on the final bend crowding an inside runner. When asked to comment on the improved performance trainer/driver P Hunter advised the gelding had raced without luck in its previous start when having to race wide from the 1300 metres and he was confident of a forward showing as HENRY MAGUIRE had been working well in preparation for the race today.
MAJOR FIRE - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1500 metres.
MAHINDI - over-raced in the middle stages.
DIDSHEDOIT - raced wide early.
BROOKIES PLAYER - lay inwards in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
ROLLON SUMMER - paced roughly rounding the first bend and had to be steadied. Placed in restricted room on the final bend striking track markers.
I SPY - eased out of the race from the 900 metres after sustaining a punctured sulky tyre.
TEDDY BAKER - over-raced on various occasions during the running.
PRINCESS KENNEDY - over-raced and struck the sulky wheel of I SPY near the 1000 metres with the sulky tyre puncturing as a consequence. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
Race 4   REGENT CAR COURT MOBILE PACE
BETTER GALLEON - when asked to comment on the improved performance trainer R Wilson advised the mare had been working well in the lead up and benefitted from a better barrier draw today.
KANSAS CITY JIM - lay inwards in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Again lay inwards near the 800 metres striking track markers which were dislodged.
ARLO MAGUIRE - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 5   INVERCARGILL HIRE HANDICAP TROT
PORT PEGASUS - raced wide on the final bend.
SUNDONS FLYER - held up on the final bend and early in the run home.
CHARLIE P - raced wide on the final bend.
TWO MENNY MUSCLES - slow to begin before breaking shortly after the start. Shifted outwards abruptly racing into the first bend onto the plough causing driver J Morrison considerable difficulty and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
ROBO TROUBLE - hung inwards and trotted roughly on the final bend.
MISS JESSICA - raced wide without cover from the 900 metres. Weakened on the final bend.
SOUTH PARK - briefly hampered at the start. Raced wide early. Broke near the 1700 metres losing all chance.

BOOTIES DELIGHT - over raced in the early stages.
SHOW ME HEAVEN - withstood a challenge for the lead for a considerable distance through the middle stages. Stewards questioned driver T Williams regarding the tactics he adopted during this part of the race. After considering his explanation, Stewards adjourned the matter to make further enquiries. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MABALENE - unsuccessfully challenged for the lead for a considerable distance through the middle stages. Stewards questioned driver B Williamson regarding the tactics he adopted during this part of the race. After considering his explanation, Stewards adjourned the matter to make further enquiries. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed an initial high heart rate however the mare recovered well.
ART COURAGE - out of position at the start with junior driver S O'Reilly warned for this.
Driver B Williamson (MABALENE) admitted a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner likely to diminish the chances of his runner finishing in its best possible position when unsuccessfully challenging for the lead for a considerable distance through the middle stages with no respite. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williamson's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing 6 March 2022 up to and including 20 March 2022 (8 days).
Driver T Williams (SHOW ME HEAVEN)) admitted a charge pursuant to Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner likely to diminish the chances of his runner finishing in its best possible position when failing to ease his runner during the middle stages when being challenged for the lead for a considerable distance with no respite. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Williams' licence to drive from the conclusion of racing on 6 March 2022 up to and including 16 March 2022 (5 days) and in addition imposed a fine of $350.
Race 8   NEVELE R STUD/MACCA LODGE SOUTHERN OAKS HEAT MOBILE PACE
OH MICKY - weakened from the 700 metres.
JOES ROCK - shifted up the track over the concluding stages when under pressure despite the efforts of driver B Orange.
ANN MAREE - hampered racing into the first bend.
HALEY ROBYN - weakened from the 700 metres.
NUTCRACKER - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up leaving the final bend.
AARDIE'S EXPRESS - locked wheels with PLAY PHILLY racing into the first bend and paced roughly as a result. Lay inwards on the final bend and struck several track markers. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied this filly had not gained an advantage when racing inside track markers on the final bend.
PLAY PHILLY - hung inwards despite the efforts of driver R Close and locked wheels with AARDIE'S EXPRESS racing into the first bend with a sulky tyre puncturing as a consequence. Hung inwards on several further occasions during the running.
GOSSIP GIRL - driver B Williamson dropped his whip entering the home straight.
FEELTHEJOY - raced wide early and again from the 900 metres. Lay inwards rounding the final bend.
Race 9   DIAMONDS DAY 30TH APRIL MOBILE PACE
THE NIGHT WATCHMAN - hampered near the 1700 metres.
CHEZZ DALE - hampered near the 1700 metres.
SONNY MAGUIRE - checked and broke near the 1700 metres losing considerable ground.
JOYFULDOLLY - shied when leading near the 1700 metres causing a significant easing of the pace with several trailing runners being hampered to varying degrees. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
CHANGEAROUND - hampered near the 1700 metres.
GLORAFILIA - hampered near the 1700 metres.
ZACH LOWE - held up early in the run home.
THE COBBLER - held up early in the run home before racing inside a track marker near the 100 metres. Stewards lodged a Protest against 2nd placing being awarded to this gelding alleging it had gained an advantage when shifting inside the marker line to obtain clear running. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from driver B Orange and the Stewards the Adjudicative Committee upheld the Protest and disqualified THE COBBLER. Mr Orange admitted a subsequent charge that he allowed his runner to protrude inside the marker line and thereby gained an advantage. After considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
RAKANOTTA - hampered near the 1700 metres.
Race 10   CRAIG HEYRICK AT HARCOURTS MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed approximately 5 minutes and 30 seconds due to the Protest in the previous race.
PROVISEUR - raced wide early.
PERONI - raced wide early.
IDEAL ROBYN - held up on the final bend.
PORT AU PRINCE - raced wide without cover from the 1400 metres. Weakened on the final bend.
JENABELLA - out of position at the start. Junior Driver S O'Reilly will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days.
MR MCLAREN - broke early in the score-up however recovered to take up its allocated barrier position at the start.
ARNIES ARMY - over-raced through the middle stages. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out rule when PORT AU PRINCE raced wider on the track near the 1400 metres. After viewing replays it was established that this gelding had commenced its outwards movement prior to PORT AU PRINCE reaching its sulky wheel with the matter taken no further.
Junior driver S O'Reilly was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after JENABELLA was out of position at the start.
