MAJIC MOMENT - Trainer M Jones advised Stewards on 14 February that blood tests taken from MAJIC MOMENT following its disappointing performance have revealed several irregularities and will be treated prior to resuming.
Race 4 - LIVAMOL HANDICAP TROT
Stable representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 16 February that blood tests taken from THE PLAYER have come back clear and the gelding will be freshened prior to resuming.
Race 6 - FAHEY FENCE HIRE 50th NZ BREEDERS STAKES (MOB PACE)

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION TROT
MC SQUARED - broke at the start losing ground.
RUSH - broke on the final bend. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SON OF A SUN - late scratching at 11.25am after being sold.
LENINGRAD - hung inwards and trotted roughly near the 900 metres losing ground.
LIL MISS MUSCLES - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Driver S Ottley reported she would be recommending gear changes prior to the mare resuming.
WESTAR MILLY - hampered by a breaking runner at the start and had to be steadied. Lay outwards in the run home.
THE BEAT - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SUNNY SON - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Borcoskie was unable to provide any tangible explanation other than the gelding had been able to lead tonight after being left to race parked at its most recent start.
KIWI COLT - broke after 100 metres losing ground.
OH NOVA LOVE - broke briefly near the 2200 metres.
RAINING IN MY HEART - stood on the mark and swung sideways at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 2   NZB STANDARDBRED MOBILE PACE
MILLWOOD MELODY - weakened final bend.
BETTORLINI - broke briefly shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages.
DE LA RENTA - driver J Dunn admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(b) in that he allowed his mare to shift inwards and race inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
HIKOI HINE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Newman. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Hung inwards and struck track markers on the final bend when weakening.
SMART SHADOW - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
NAKULA - broke rounding the first bend after being shifted inwards by an outside runner losing all chance. Driver R Jenkins defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly when failing to concede his position when being shifted inwards by GET BACK on the first bend. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Jenkins, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.
Race 3   MEDIAWORKS TROT
KOWHAI SUNSET - trainer M Jones advised that the colt has been gelded since last racing. Broke near the 500 metres losing all chance. Driver M Jones was warned for the manner in which he drove when attempting to restrain a breaking runner.
GINAS MAJESTY - slow to begin. Trotted roughly through the middle stages losing ground.
MEGHAN - trotted roughly in the run home.
DREAMSINTHE MIST - trotted roughly early stages. Broke near the 700 metres losing all chance. Trainer G Ward advised Stewards on 29 March that the horse has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 4   FAULKS INVESTMENTS MOBILE PACE
STREET HAWK - paced roughly late in the run home.
CUT GLASS - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced early stages. Raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
HELLS ART - raced wide early.
SARGENT BEST - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1200 metres. Weakened from the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Trainer B Hill advised he will have blood tests taken in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
NO TERROR - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Orange. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt.
BOBBY VINTON - held up until late in the run home.
Trainer B Hill advised Stewards on 22 February that blood tests taken from SARGENT BEST following its last start have revealed no abnormalities with the gelding continuing with its current preparation.
Race 5   STORER MOTORS HANDICAP TROT
MAGNIFIQUE DIMANCHE - held up early in the run home.
GREENBANK BETTY - weakened leaving the final bend.
BAXTER - began awkwardly. Broke near the 150 metres and again late in the run home.
JAKARTA - late scratching at 10.40am on Veterinary advice.
SAMANTHAS MOON - broke after 150 metres losing ground.
Race 6   THE BOX SEAT MOBILE PACE
DI CAPRIO - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Ottley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the entire.
ONE CHANGE - driver B Orange reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 7   CLARKSON SIGNS HANDICAP TROT
SHOW ME THE GRAY - began awkwardly.
LAURIES LEGACY - lay inwards throughout the run home.
MAJESTIC CHICK - broke at the start losing all chance.
CHIEF OF STAFF - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 8   JOHNNIE WALKER MOBILE PACE
FRANCO MACHO - broke shortly after the start settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was suffering from muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse with connections in the coming days.
SMIFFY'S TERROR - late scratching at 12.05pm on Veterinary advice.
Trainer S McRae advised Stewards on 22 February that FRANCO MACHO has recovered well after being treated for muscle tie up and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 9   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS PACE
GEORGIE ZUKOV - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the entire.
TEDS LEGACY - weakened final bend.
MOTOR MOUTH - broke at the start losing ground.
LOYALIST - weakened final bend.
RIVEERED - when questioned regarding the performance driver O Thornley advised the gelding had peaked on its run after improving wide on the final bend. Miss Thornley added that considering the horse was first up from a spell it would derive considerable benefit from the race.
SILK - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
