Race 1   OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY HANDICAP TROT
STORMS ACOMING - broke at the start losing all chance.
MOCCA FRANCY - broke nearing the 2000 metres losing ground. Lost contact with the field passing the 1200 metres. When questioned regarding the performance Driver C Hackett reported the mare had trotted roughly throughout.
PALISADE - held up early in the run home.
LEESA CASTLETON - lay outwards and shifted up the track in the run home despite the efforts of Driver Z Butcher.
THANK YOU - broke near the 1350 metres losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 2   CARTOWN MOBILE PACE
AURELIA COTTA - weakened in the run home.
ROCKNROYDON - unsuccessfully contested for the lead in the early stages. Paced roughly rounding the first bend. Lay outwards rounding the bends through the middle stages. Weakened from the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
REDBACK ROCKS - held up by a weakening runner near the 500 metres.
NELSON'S BOY - back from its unruly position at the start.
Race 3   THE COBB MOBILE PACE
GLEN ELGIN STARA - weakened final bend.
CHEEKYGRIN - lay outwards in the run home.
BLAZE MAGUIRE - lay outwards when weakening final bend. Junior Driver M Johnson was shown a replay and spoken to advisedly for using his whip when out of contention.
ARDEN'S ILLUSION - weakened final bend.
ARTFUL LIVING - raced wide early.
Race 4   CENTRAL ENERGY TRUST MOBILE PACE
CARRERA LUCIA - paced roughly for a distance near the 1000 metres.
SHEZSOMETHINSPECIAL - over-raced through the middle stages when leading.
GREENBACK BOOGIE - the boring pole base detached from the saddle during the running. Trainer M House was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix this gear so as not to come adrift. Weakened final bend.
SMOKINHOTCHEDDAR - late scratching at 1.10 pm on veterinary advice.
IDEAL ZEN - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Driver D Butcher advised the entire had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running and had raced lethargically. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse in the coming days.
Race 5   MANAWATU ITM MOBILE PACE
MAYA ANGELOU - over-raced early. Weakened in the run home.
RAGING WHITEBAIT - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer D Gale advised that the gelding was showing some signs of having a virus and will be treated prior to resuming.
PIIKI WHARA - over-raced through the middle stages.
LETSGODANCING - late scratching at 8.10 am on veterinary advice.
ARCHAIC LUSTRE - over-raced early stages when wide on the track and was restrained to the rear.
BIG SKEWY - lay in rounding the bends and in particular passing the 400 metres striking track markers.
BOULTON HOME - when questioned regarding the improved performance the connections advised they had made several gear adjustments to the gelding's gear after racing on Tuesday which had proved beneficial to improving its gait tonight.
Race 6   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
CLYMENUS - Driver J Abernethy reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 600 metres.
ACESANDKINGS - broke racing into the first bend and shifted outwards checking an outside runner. While in a gallop the gelding broke a front hopple loop and was retired from the race. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PEMBROOK'S DESTINY - checked by a breaking runner racing into the first bend and was forced wider on the track.
RAKE - over-raced middle stages.
TICKING OVER - weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
BENDER - weakened from the 450 metres.
ALEXIS ROCKET - over-raced through the middle stages. Continued to over-race passing the 600 metres and made contact with the sulky wheel of CLYMENUS despite the efforts of Driver W House.
PAY ME VISA - raced keenly through the middle stages.
Race 7   HAWERA ON GRASS NEXT WEDNESDAY MOBILE PACE
EL DORADO - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - hung outwards leaving the final bend.
GREATEST SHOWMAN - over-raced early and middle stages.
SANTANNA MACH - over-raced early and middle stages.
