Co-trainer R Wilson advised Stewards on 3 February that IDEAL ROBYN has recovered well following his performance at Wyndham last week and will return to that track on Sunday with the removal of the Anti-Choke Device.

Trainer J Douglas advised Stewards on 30 January that THE OTHER BROTHER was found to be suffering from a swollen and tender hock following its performance at Ascot Park last Saturday.
Race 6 - BRENDAN FRANKS FARRIER HANDICAP TROT
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 3 February that ANDY HALL has been given a brief freshen-up following its performance at Ascot Park on Saturday.
Race 10 - FORKLIFTS NZ LTD MOBILE PACE
Co-trainer C Graham advised Stewards that I'M TROUBLE has recovered well following its fresh-up performance at Ascot Park on Saturday adding that the gelding has derived benefit from that run.

tglRwnsu-Ys ACTION PACKED - trainer K Franks was warned for failing to affix mudguards. Broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SON OF MAJESTIC - weakened rounding the final bend.
MYSHOUT - trainer M Williamson was warned for failing to affix mudguards. Broke at the start. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. Driver M Williamson reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the running.
MIXED FAITH - trainer B Williamson was warned for failing to affix mudguards. Lay outwards entering the bend near the 1400 metres. Stewards questioned driver B Williamson regarding his apparent lack of vigour over the concluding stages. Mr Williamson explained MIXED FAITH had lay inwards and trotted roughly throughout the run home and he was reluctant to apply pressure or release the removable deafeners given the filly's tendency to break in the latter stages of recent races.
JOEDIUM - broke passing the 1800 metres losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 800 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KYLE LOCH - broke at the start losing all chance.

TASHS BAD GIRL - held up through the middle and latter stages of the run home.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - held up rounding the final bend and was then reluctant to take the passing lane when hanging outwards.
EMMA'S GIRL - when asked to comment on the improved performance trainer L Bond advised the mare has had a change of bit and training regime, has been working well on the grass in the lead up and a forward showing today was not unexpected.
PHIL'S LAST CHANCE - junior driver M Hurrell reported both sulky tyres had deflated in the run home.
MATAI CHARLOTTE - driver R McIlwrick was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to arrive on course. Raced wide in the early stages. When asked to comment on the performance Mr McIlwrick advised that although the mare had worked hard early to get the lead he was still somewhat disappointed with the effort over the concluding stages.
HUNTING WEIGHT - pre-race warmed. Broke in the score-up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again over the concluding stages. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
ART PROFILE - held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.

HES SANTAS EXCUSE - driver G Lee was warned for being late to arrive at the start area.
SWEET AND SOUR - driver B Williamson was warned for being late to arrive at the start area. When asked to comment on the performance trainer B Williamson expressed disappointment and advised he would be making a change to the training regime of the mare.
LOOKOUT - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home with junior driver M Hurrell reporting he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
TIMZEE - driver C Lee was warned for using his whip free of the rein in the home straight.
Following the running of this race the official track conditions were upgraded to Easy.

LOCK IT IN EDDIE - lost ground on the final bend.
SO ART I - raced wide early.
I'M WATCHING YOU - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. Hung outwards near the 700 metres and made contact with the sulky wheel of KAGEE VC.
ZACH LOWE - raced wide early. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room on various occasions in the run home.
JAFFIE J - over-raced in the early and middle stages until reaching the parked position near the 1600 metres and then continued to over-race for a distance.
TANGIER TANGO - broke passing the 1400 metres after the hopple carrier became entangled in the hind leg of the mare resulting in trailing runners being hampered. Trainer D McLachlan was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix gear so as not to come adrift.
KAGEE VC - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. Raced wide from the 800 metres. Weakened on the final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Junior driver D Anderson reported he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 700 metres.

SAGE TROUBLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
PORT PEGASUS - lay inwards rounding the final bend.
KING OF THE NORTH - broke near the 900 metres.
BREAK OUT - raced wide early.
JASMINE JACCKA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of junior driver E Barron. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - when asked to comment on the improved performance trainer C Buchan advised the gelding had benefitted from a return to a mobile start today resulting in the horse being more tractable throughout.
WINNING BONES - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SUNDAY INVASION - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to race. Trotted roughly and broke near the 500 metres hampering trailing runners.

PLAY PHILLY - held up throughout the run home only obtaining clear racing room inside the final 50 metres with driver R Close reporting he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence. Stewards questioned Mr Close regarding his tactics during the race. Mr Close advised he was reluctant to push forward at the start given the barrier speed of the runners inside him so elected to shift to the marker line due to there being only two runners positioned there and he felt it better to race three back the fence than being obliged to race wide on the track. Mr Close added that he elected to take an inside run near the 400 metres when after shifting away from the marker line PLAY PHILLY had become awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of NUTCRACKER and at that stage he was reluctant to restrain his horse and shift out on to the back of that runner and lose momentum at a critical stage of the race. Stewards accepted Mr Close's explanation on this occasion.
