Trainer M White advised Stewards on 3 February that TOMMYSONAROLL has had its coffin joints injected following its run at Cambridge last week. Mr White added that if possible the gelding will be driven with a sit in upcoming engagements. |
Co-trainer A Drake advised Stewards on 3 February that BET ON THE TIGER, together with a number of horses in that stable, have been treated for a virus. |

SLY TERROR - driver T Cameron admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion inside the final 300 metres. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended his driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 6 February up to and including 17 February 2022 (4 days). Mr Cameron was also warned for using his whip outside the confines of the sulky in the run home. | |
BETTERTHANDIVA - paced roughly in the early stages and had to be steadied. Again paced roughly near the 900 metres after a slight easing of the pace. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver M McKendry reported that he sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running. | |

DANNEMORA - paced roughly near the 900 metres when being steadied to obtain cover resulting in a slight easing of the pace. Trainer T Bagrie (J Dunn as agent) admitted a breach of Rule 823(3) and the Horse Movement Regulations in that he failed to lodge a Horse Movement Notification for the filly. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $150. | |
DINA MO - hampered near the 900 metres after a slight easing of the pace. | |
AMERICAN LEGACY - raced wider on the track near the 1150 metres when DANNEMORA improved outwards. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule at this stage of the race. After viewing the replays it was established that driver J Dunn (DANNEMORA) had commenced his outwards movement prior to AMERICAN LEGACY reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. Driver J Stormont was issued with a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to have his helmet securely fastened during the running. |
