PRESIDENTS TOPSHOT - Stewards viewed the replays in relation to the manner in which Driver Z Meredith drove in the home straight and were subsequently satisfied that he had flicked his runner on several occasions early in the run home and then again over the final 30m while ensuring that he kept the gelding balanced in its correct gait. |

Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1200m when B K MERLOT raced wider on the track after HAKA PRIDE had shifted ground outwards. After viewing the replays, it was established that driver A Pyers (HAKA PRIDE) had commenced his outwards movement prior to B K MERLOT covering his sulky wheel. Accordingly no further action was deemed necessary. | |

LIEUTENANT ARDEN - when questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver J Stormont reported that he was not disappointed with the gelding's effort. He further explained that he elected to shift out off HELLOFASPORTSTAR's back near the 700m as his gelding had commenced to over-race and felt it was in the horse's best interest given its prior performances when breaking. | |

Continued to pace roughly in the run home before being held up inside the final 50m. Driver T Bamford reported the gelding had locked on the inside rein causing him difficulty. | |
