FALCON'S MONARCH - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams expressed his disappointment however could offer no explanation.
ADHIKA - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
BROMAC HYPE - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
FLORAS DIAMOND DEAL - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
AMARLA - paced roughly passing the 900 metres and had to be steadied.

DRAGONS SUNRISE - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination after briefly falling to the track during the preliminary and was cleared to start. There was a delay to the start due to the sulky needing to be replaced. Raced with one number after the inside number disc broke. Trotted roughly in the early stages.
FAR MORE ZEALOUS - hung inwards throughout the run home.
NORDIC PRINCE - held up in the early stages of the run home and trotted roughly thereafter.
GINAS MAJESTY - trotted roughly in the run home.
KOHLI TROUBLE - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
SUNNY SON - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again passing the 900 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SHEZA MIGHTY MONARCH - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.

MOSSDALE TERRY - the required Veterinary clearance was received. Connections advised this horse has been gelded since last racing. Held up throughout the run home with junior driver B Hope reporting he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence. Shifted inwards near the 50 metres crowding an inside runner. Mr Hope was spoken to advisedly to exercise greater care when shifting ground.
JIBE - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
RACEY RACH - raced wide with cover from the 1200 metres.
YOU FLY WITH ME - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Crowded and had to be steadied passing the 50 metres.

ULTIMATE BIRD - hung outwards at various stages when leading and in particular rounding the final bend and in the run home when shifting up the track despite the efforts of driver S Ottley.
SPECIALE UNO - held up until late in the run home.
WITH GRACE - raced wide in the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 450 metres.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 800 metres.
KANSAS CITY JIM - over-raced through the middle stages.
LILAC CHANGE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 450 metres.
CHARLIE'S ACE - held up in the early stages of the run home.
DRAMATIST - hampered by a breaking runner near the 450 metres.
PRODIGAL SON - raced wide early. Broke near the 450 metres hampering trailing runners and losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have soreness to the left hind leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 5   SPEIGHTS TROT
MAKE MY SUNDON - broke passing the 200 metres when leading. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SHIFFTY - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 150 metres. Driver G Smith was warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
OUR PEGASUS PEARL - driver D Morrison was warned for loose reining in the home straight.
THE LAST GAMBLE - broke at the start losing ground.
SOUTH PARK - broke racing over the crossing rounding the first bend losing ground. Over-raced passing the 1800 metres when being restrained to obtain cover. Broke again when racing over the crossing near the 500 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
ANNA'S BOY - held up in the early stages of the run home.
GOTTA TICKET - broke near the 100 metres. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
GOOSE HEALY - broke briefly after 100 metres. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again racing into the first bend losing ground. Weakened on the final bend.
Race 6   WALLACE DIACK MOBILE PACE
DAGGY LAMB - checked in the middle stages of the home straight and broke in consequence. Driver L O'Reilly was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
WHISKEY CAVALIER - paced roughly as the start was effected. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Held up throughout the run home.
ENDLESS DREAMS - raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
MAKWALA - over-raced through the middle stages. Hung outwards leaving the final bend when weakening. Driver R Close reported the gelding's hind legs had been striking the sulky crossbar and he would be recommending a change of sulky for racing on Sunday.
MAID OF MONEY - raced wide in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the mare had worked hard when racing wide and this had taken its toll over the concluding stages.
SCELTA UNO - raced wide early. Held up early in the run home.
SONGBIRD - held up early in the run home.
BOUDICA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
RAZORS EDGE - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Held up early in the run home. Shifted ground outwards in the middle stages of the home straight when insufficiently clear of DAGGY LAMB which was checked and broke as a consequence. Stewards issued a charge against driver J Geddes alleging that he drove carelessly at this stage of the race with the hearing adjourned to be heard prior to racing on Sunday.
Driver J Geddes (RAZORS EDGE) admitted a charge that he drove carelessly when shifting ground outwards in the middle stages of the home straight when insufficiently clear of DAGGY LAMB which was checked and broke in consequence. After viewing replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Geddes' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today 16 January up to and including 30 January (4 days).
Race 7   CLUBS OF MARLBOROUGH MOBILE PACE
ACENTO - broke in the score-up checking a trailing runner resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver B Orange elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the restart. Broke at the restart checking trailing runners losing considerable ground. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Checked by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
SWAP OVER - checked by a breaking runner at the start.
UNCLE CHAN - driver J Dunn reported he did not release the removable deafeners or activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
ZIA BROMAC - when asked to comment on the improved performance connections advised that the mare had raced well at its last start on a fast tempo and they were not surprised by the effort today after receiving a favourable run throughout.
MAC'S TOMADO - checked by a breaking runner at the start. Broke near the 300 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SOPHIA BROMAC - checked by a breaking runner at the start.
HELLO ADELE - checked by a breaking runner at the start. Held up early in the run home.
THE OPTIMIST - checked by a breaking runner near the 300 metres and paced roughly.

JOURNO - broke briefly on the first bend when shying at a dislodged track marker. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 600 metres.
EL SIRRAR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 600 metres.
DONEGAL CARRICKFIN - checked by a breaking runner near the 600 metres and broke in consequence.

MIKEMARO - late scratching at 6.51pm on 13 January due to the gelding being sold.

SODS LAW - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
SALVO - checked and broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
SIOUX PRINCESS - broke racing into the first bend checking trailing runners and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. The under-check broke near the 800 metres. Stewards inspected this gear which was found to be in previously good condition.
