Race 1   COUNTRY FEASTS TROT
MICKEY D - fractious prior to the start then stood on the mark losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 1750 metres losing all chance.
HEAVENLY STRINGS - trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully driven out by driver C Thornley.
SHOW THE WAY - trotted roughly early stages of the run home.
KOHLI TROUBLE - raced greenly in the early stages. Hung outwards leaving the final bend when leading.
BLITHE - broke at the start. Broke again near the 1750 metres losing all chance.
MUSCLYNN - driver P Wakelin advised that the filly had hung outwards throughout the run home.
RUTHLESS LIZZIE - held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
KAHNTDOITALONE - driver S McNally was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
TAKE NOTICE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
Race 2   COMMODORE HOTEL MOBILE PACE
SHEZA MANIPULATOR - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Edmonds. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Driver M Edmonds admitted using his whip free of the rein late in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
CHANCE ACHIEVER - broke in the score-up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TALIESIN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MACH'S ELIMINATOR - raced wide early stages.
BEST TRIO - raced wide early stages.
SIR MONTY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Close. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up until late in the run home.
ARDEN BELIEVER - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.

IRON WOMAN - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 1150 metres.
ATOMIC TRAVELLER - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 1150 metres.
ONEDIN MIKI - locked wheels briefly with ADHIKA at the start.
BEYOND A SHADOW - late scratching at 9.55am due to track conditions.
KID GLOVES - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
BOLLINGER - broke passing the 1150 metres hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
APACHE WARRIOR - broke after 150 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver S Ottley advised that the gelding would be restricted to mobile starts for the immediate future.
ADHIKA - locked wheels briefly with ONEDIN MIKI at the start and broke briefly in consequence.
Race 4   DAIKINS GROUP TROT
BOURBON ON THE ROCKS - trotted roughly final bend before breaking near the 500 metres. Broke again near the 300 metres.
HANOVER DA MOON - hung inwards throughout the run home. Driver T Williams advised that the gelding had resented the rein pricker and he would be recommending it be removed prior to the gelding resuming.
LINE A LOVE - broke passing the 300 metres.
CLASSIC CALL - when spoken to regarding the improved performance trainer/driver M Edmonds advised that the gelding had benefited from a drop in class and had been training well in the lead up to todays event.
TYRON AROHANUI - lay outwards after racing over the crossing near the 1700 metres. Broke near the 300 metres.
MENTALIST - held up until late in the run home.
MERLOT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres. Trotted roughly in the run home.
MUSCLE BANK - late scratching at 1.15pm due to track conditions.
Race 5   MARK BUTTERICK MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when KING ARTHUR broke in the score-up checking trailing runners.
KING ARTHUR - broke in the early stages of the score-up for the restart and was out of position at the start. The gelding will be placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Raced wide early stages. Trainer J Gray advised that the gelding will be sent for a spell.
JOURNO - when questioned regarding the improved performance, connections reported that the gelding was best suited to racing on grass and had been able to capitalise on a favourable run throughout.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 6   REGAN TODD RACING STABLES JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
THE PEACEMAKER - driver S Diamant was spoken to advisedly for using her whip free of the rein on one occasion in the early stages of run home.
REFINE - raced wide early stages.
MOODY RIVER - held up briefly near the 600 metres.
BAILEYS DIAMOND - driver S Thornley was reminded of his obligations to drive his runner out fully to the end of the race.
MACH QUILLAN - fractious in the pre-race formation before breaking in the early stages of the score-up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced four wide from the 700 metres before weakening in the early stages of the run home.
HILARIOUS PRINCE - when spoken to regarding the gelding's improved performance driver S Iremonger advised the gelding is one paced and was suited by improving its position three wide in the middle stages to race handy from the 900 metres. Mr Iremonger added the horse has shown natural improvement since being acquired recently and it had appreciated a drop in class from previous starts.
Race 7   PETER SMITH MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to the gear on WITH ICE requiring attention.
ROYAL PRIDE - trotted roughly in the middle stages of the run home.
BJ LINDENNY - unable to hold its position near the 2200 metres despite the efforts of driver B Orange which enabled KOWHAI SUNDOWN to shift inwards ahead of the gelding.
B D YASOTHON - broke at the start. Lay in when being shifted wider on the track and broke near the 700 metres
ZSA ZOE - switched to a pace over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
WITH ICE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 700 metres.
Race 8   PAUL RENWICK JOINERY MOTUKARARA CHRISTMAS CUP (HCP PACE)
SAM'S TOWN - driver J Dunn was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the middle stages of the run home.
MANJIMUP - the number came adrift during the running and hung loose.
DASHING MAJOR - broke at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner after 100 metres.
BETTOR BELIEVE IT - broke at the start and hung inwards despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi hampering trailing runners after 100 metres. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MOTOR MOUTH - broke at the start. Checked near the 350 metres.
TOM MARTIN - broke at the start. Checked near the 350 metres.
BENSONS MATE - broke near the 2400 metres when driver C Ferguson activated the hopple shorteners. Broke near the 350 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver C Ferguson reported that the inside hopple shortener had became entangled around the connecting strap after activation.
LULU LE MANS - hampered near the 350 metres.
ARDEN'S REALITY - hampered by a breaking runner after 100 metres.
KISS THE GIRLS - hampered by a breaking runner after 100 metres.
ALLAMERICANLOVER - hampered by a breaking runner after 100 metres. Hampered near the 350 metres.

Race 9   FAMOUS GROUSE HOTEL LINCOLN TROT
MONRIKA - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for stands at trainer's request.
ALI LINDENNY - held up early stages of the run home.
LOVE ROSE - broke near the 350 metres.
EMMA LOUISE - over-raced middle stages. Driver M Williamson reported that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
MARTHA STUART - late scratching at 8.25am due to track conditions.
RACHMANINOV - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver T Grant reported that due to this he didn't activate the removable deafeners.
AWESOME IMPEE - co-trainer P Wakelin advised that the mare was racing in Season. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 350 metres.
POSTGRAD SUCCESS - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
Race 10   MAXIA COMPLETE PASSING LANE PACE
MISSMOLLYGOODGOLLY - broke at the start and shifted outwards crowding an outside runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
THE BLACK SHADOW - crowded at the start by an inside runner. Broke in the early stages. Over-raced middle stages.
HOPE FOR LOVE - broke at the start.
BETTERTHANHOPE - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Trainer/driver J Hay reported that the mare would be restricted to mobile starts in the immediate future.
MAREN FRANCO - held up early to middle stages of the home straight.
KINGSDOWN ATOM - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - broke at the start.
RON MCKINLEY - paced roughly in the early stages. Broke near the 250 metres.
Race 11   CANPRINT MOBILE PACE
WAVETHEBILL - over-raced at various stages throughout.
MAJOR COLLECT - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M McIntyre advised that the gelding appreciated the change of gear, receiving a more economical run today than in recent starts and also returning to the grass surface.
THE GO TO MAN - underwent a post race veterinary examination, at the request of trainer J Wederell which revealed no abnormalities.
SAINT WAITAKI - held up throughout the run home.
MOSSMAN - raced wide early stages. Paced roughly in the run home.
DON'T QUOTE ME - over-raced middle stages.
STAR REACTOR - over-raced early and middle stages.
Top
