Co-Trainer J Teaz advised Stewards on 28 December that HEZASHADOWPLAYA has recovered well from its last start and has had a change of training regime and alterations to its shoeing prior to racing tonight.

Race 1   WIN A TRAVEL VOUCHER OVER SUMMER AT C.R. MOBILE PACE
NATURAL FIRE - weakened near the 400m.
PLAY BALL - weakened near the 400m.
MOZZARELLA - lay in entering the first turn when being eased to take cover.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - had to be steadied off the back of MOZZARELLA entering the first turn. Held up final turn.
MR WONDERFUL - broke just short of the winning post but was well clear of the 3rd placed runner VOODOO PRINCE.
Race 2   TOTE BURGER OPEN 5-8.30 PM FRI SAT SUN MOBILE PACE
TUGAWAR - lay out and raced greenly during the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Paced roughly shorty after the start and then again rounding the first turn. Checked by the breaking MISS YOU BROMAC near the 750m and had to take evasive action. Weakened from the 300m.
MISS YOU BROMAC - broke near the 750m checking several trailing runners. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
SELENA - held up early rounding the final turn.
SHARKINE - Junior Driver S Rapley, assisted by D McGowan, was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which she drove near the 700m when improving forward onto the back of the breaking MISS YOU BROMAC which resulted in her filly also breaking and losing ground before settling.
CLAUDE - when questioned regarding the performance Co-Trainer/Driver A Neal stated that he was disappointed with the run even taking into account that the gelding had raced without cover from the 1600m after the lead was not available.
Race 3   THE CLUBHOUSE HOLE IN 1 CHALLENGE EVERY SUNDAY TROT
PEARLSPUR - broke passing the 1900m checking a trailing runner and lost considerable ground. Trotted roughly and gave ground rounding the final bend.
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - broke near the 1900m and trailed the field. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners. Trainer D Cossey advised that the mare would be freshened prior to resuming.
PALISADE - the off-side number became detached and hung down during the running.
MY HOPE - checked and broke near the 1850m after attempting to avoid the breaking PEARLSPUR when to the inside of RUBY RIDGE, which lay in, and lost considerable ground. Lay in rounding the bends. Gave ground in the run home.
RUBY RIDGE - lay in despite the efforts of Driver P Ferguson near the 1850m placing MY HOPE in restricted room. Mr Ferguson advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 4   CHECK OUT C.R. HIRE EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR NEXT PARTY MOB PACE
WHIZ ON BYE - paced roughly near the 200m losing ground.
JUJU MAMA - Driver M White reported that he did not activate the removeable deafeners due to being held up over the final stages of the run home.
BIG SKEWY - raced three wide early.
Race 5   HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLLY THORNTON MOBILE PACE
COTTON SOCKS - Junior Driver Z Meredith, assisted by D Balle, was cautioned for crossing his reins and flourishing his whip late in the run home.
JACCKA COOPER - raced keenly middle stages. Paced roughly and then broke for several strides near the 50m.
Race 6   HIDDEN LAKE HOTEL & APARTMENTS HANDICAP TROT
ALANA - was reluctant to come forward on to the barrier and was then slow to begin. Junior Driver N Delany became unbalanced in the sulky near the 150m after his sulky seat shifted. Stewards took no action in relation to Mr Delany applying his whip when his left foot was free of the footrest due to the disadvantage he had been placed at.
KELVINZ LUCK - Driver J Stormont was spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion near the 100m.
AGOSTINI - raced three wide early.
PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL - broke approaching the 200m losing ground before settling.
Race 7   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
WAITFOREVER - Stewards lodged a Protest against this runner's 1st placing on the grounds of alleged interference to the 2nd placed SKY DELIGHT late in the run home when shifting in under pressure. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Protest was dismissed by the Adjudicative Committee with placings being duly authorised.
LOUIE THE PUNTER - over-raced in the score up and over the early stages when being restrained to the rear.
Race 8   MALCOLM MULLIGAN 65 TOMORROW MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was delayed by approximately 5 minutes at the request of the TAB due to the Protest in the previous race.
NORTHVIEW PEG - paced roughly entering the first turn and was taken up the track before improving to cross to the parked position.
BERANI - lay in rounding the turns.
PEMBROOK'S DESTINY - held up for clear running throughout the home straight.
Race 9   HAVE YOUR PARTY WITH US, HIRE A VENUE AT C.R. TROT
DELLARIO - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
CYCLONE LEBRON - stood on the mark when the barrier was released before backing up and throwing itself to the track taking no further part. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
SAN DIEGO SUNRISE - tired from the 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with Trainer R Downey in the coming days.
MERKEL - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
AEONIAN - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke rounding the first turn and trailed the field before being retired from the event. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners. A post race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the off fore which was treated.
Trainer R Downey advised Stewards on 7 January that SAN DIEGO SUNRISE has recovered well following its run at Cambridge last week and will continue with its current preparation.
