Paced roughly shorty after the start and then again rounding the first turn. Checked by the breaking MISS YOU BROMAC near the 750m and had to take evasive action. Weakened from the 300m. | |

SHARKINE - Junior Driver S Rapley, assisted by D McGowan, was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which she drove near the 700m when improving forward onto the back of the breaking MISS YOU BROMAC which resulted in her filly also breaking and losing ground before settling. | |
CLAUDE - when questioned regarding the performance Co-Trainer/Driver A Neal stated that he was disappointed with the run even taking into account that the gelding had raced without cover from the 1600m after the lead was not available. |

PEARLSPUR - broke passing the 1900m checking a trailing runner and lost considerable ground. Trotted roughly and gave ground rounding the final bend. | |
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL - broke near the 1900m and trailed the field. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners. Trainer D Cossey advised that the mare would be freshened prior to resuming. | |
PALISADE - the off-side number became detached and hung down during the running. | |
MY HOPE - checked and broke near the 1850m after attempting to avoid the breaking PEARLSPUR when to the inside of RUBY RIDGE, which lay in, and lost considerable ground. Lay in rounding the bends. Gave ground in the run home. | |
RUBY RIDGE - lay in despite the efforts of Driver P Ferguson near the 1850m placing MY HOPE in restricted room. Mr Ferguson advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. |

ALANA - was reluctant to come forward on to the barrier and was then slow to begin. Junior Driver N Delany became unbalanced in the sulky near the 150m after his sulky seat shifted. Stewards took no action in relation to Mr Delany applying his whip when his left foot was free of the footrest due to the disadvantage he had been placed at. | |
KELVINZ LUCK - Driver J Stormont was spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion near the 100m. | |

WAITFOREVER - Stewards lodged a Protest against this runner's 1st placing on the grounds of alleged interference to the 2nd placed SKY DELIGHT late in the run home when shifting in under pressure. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Protest was dismissed by the Adjudicative Committee with placings being duly authorised. | |
