Trainer R Gutsell advised Stewards on 24 December that following its disappointing performance STILL ROCKIN had recovered well, worked good during the week and would be continuing on with the current preparation.

Race 1 - WINTON NIGHT 'N DAY / SOUTHLAND VEHICLE SALES MOBILE PACE
Trainer M Brown advised the Stewards on 24 December that following its disappointing performance NORTHVIEW DANCE has been sent for a spell.
Race 6 - LATHER UP SPEED SERIES FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
Trainer K Barclay advised the Stewards on 24 December that blood tests conducted on WATTLEBANK STAR had revealed signs of muscle tie-up with the filly having been treated accordingly.
Race 8 - OTAUTAU FOUR SQUARE SUPERMARKET WAIRIO CUP (HCP PACE)
Trainer N Williamson advised the Stewards on 24 December that a Veterinary examination of GET UP N DANCE revealed the gelding to be showing signs of muscle tie-up and had been treated accordingly. Mr Williamson further advised GET UP N DANCE had been working well since in the lead up to a possible start at Gore on 27 December.

RANDOM SPUR - weakened on the final bend.
CROWN RANGE - weakened on the final bend.
KYLE LOCH - broke in the score-up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened on the final bend.
THE POWER BROKER - trotted roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened on the final bend.
MILLIE'S GIFT - trotted roughly in the score-up and was back from its Unruly position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Trotted roughly throughout the run home with driver N Williamson reporting he was unable to fully drive the mare out or release the removable deafeners as a consequence and he would be making gear changes prior to MILLIE'S GIFT starting next. Cast a front shoe shortly after the start.

GLORAFILIA - raced wide in the early stages.
SIMPLY DELIGHTFULL - raced wide in the early stages.
NETHERTON FRANCO - raced wide in the early stages.
HUNTING WEIGHT - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
LOOKOUT - raced greenly near the 1200 metres.

BRANXHOLME LASS - held up leaving the final bend.
B SMART - weakened leaving the final bend.
TALKIN UNOWHAT - paced roughly in the early stages before breaking racing into the first bend checking trailing runners and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts at the request of trainer M Brown. Mr Brown advised the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
OLLY - checked by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Weakened on the final bend.
BENJI - hung in the score-up and was out of position at the start. Checked by a breaking runner racing into the first bend and shifted inwards making contact with the sulky wheel of CALL ME SIR despite the efforts of driver K Barclay. Mrs Barclay was issued with a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
WATCHLIST - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Raced wide from the 800 metres. Lay inwards on various occasions in the run home having to be straightened by driver N Williamson. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied this gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking shortly after the start.
CALL ME SIR - eased out of the race rounding the first bend after sustaining a punctured sulky tyre.
Race 4   THANKS DES BAYNES MOBILE PACE
RAKAJED - hung outwards and raced greenly throughout. Held up over the concluding stages.
STILTON LORD - hampered and broke near the 700 metres losing all chance.
HERITAGE - hampered near the 700 metres.
ASK ME LOU - raced wide in the early stages. Raced greenly when being forced wider on the track near the 700 metres hampering trailing runners.
MAJOR WILSON - raced wide in the early and middle stages. Weakened from the 500 metres. Placed in restricted room near the 450 metres by an inside runner and broke briefly. Driver M Jones was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion near the 400 metres and when out of contention.
CARRERA DANCE - broke in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced four-wide from the 800 metres. Driver R Stevens admitted a charge that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $350.
ELLZ ANGEL - raced wide in the early stages. Hung inwards throughout the run home. Driver B McLellan was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein on two occasions in the run home.
DONALD TROT - over-raced from the 850 metres.
ATARAH - shifted outwards near the 450 metres placing MAJOR WILSON in restricted room which broke briefly. Junior driver M Hurrell (who declined the assistance of a senior driver) admitted a charge that he drove carelessly at this stage of the race and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hurrell's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing on 27 December up to and including 1 January 2022 (2 days).
SCARLET RIBBON - broke in the early stages of the score-up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
SLY TRICKS - held up for clear racing room in the run home.
CHEZZ DALE - lay inwards over the concluding stages.
BOBBY VINTON - lay outwards in the score-up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Driver S Tomlinson reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 600 metres.
Race 5   NEXT MEETING 19TH JANUARY TROT
GLOBAL FLIGHT - fractious prior to the start and was back slightly as the barrier was released. Held up on the final bend. Broke near the 200 metres.
FAST WHISPERING - held up on the final bend and until late in the run home.
MAJESTIC ROLLON - late scratching at 10.57am on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
INSIST THE WIN - trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out.
DEM BONES DEM BONES - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
MISS JESSICA - over-raced in the middle stages. Weakened on the final bend. Driver T Robertson reported he was unable to release the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - broke rounding the first bend after a slight easing of the pace losing all chance.
LAURIES LEGACY - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
ANDIAMO - broke rounding the first bend after a slight easing of the pace and lost ground.
BELISMA - trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground. Lay inwards and trotted roughly in the run home.
Race 6   WELCOME TRADIES MOBILE PACE
I'M TROUBLE - weakened on the final bend.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 7   ALABAR NZ MOBILE PACE
NIKKI NOTO - lay inwards leaving the final bend.
BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
NYLA - lay inwards over the concluding stages having to be corrected by its driver.
MAN I'M GOOD - weakened on the final bend.
Race 8   WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
HAZER - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver S Tomlinson was issued with a warning when contacting and racing inside track markers for a short distance in the run home.
BLACK OPS - over-raced in the middle stages.
DARK RAGE - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Broke in the score-up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CAST A SHADOW - lay inwards in the early stages of the run home when under pressure.
BRIGADIERS SON - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
THE OTHER BROTHER - paced roughly over the concluding stages and had to be steadied.
AMERICAN MAC - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Trainer J Douglas advised Stewards that THE OTHER BROTHER has been treated for a respiratory condition subsequent to its performance at Winton on 24 December.
Race 9   NEVELE R STUD MOBILE PACE
SO ART I - held up throughout the run home with driver M Williamson reporting that he did not activate the sliding blinds or release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
PORT AU PRINCE - briefly hampered near the 1400 metres.
MAJOR MEMPHIS - raced wide in the early stages. Lay outwards passing the 1400 metres hampering an outside runner. When spoken to regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised that the gelding had lay outwards throughout and she was disappointed with the effort.
STONEYROYD - raced wide in the early stages.
MR MCLAREN - raced wide in the early stages.
MEOHMYMARTINI - held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
FIREBALL - held up on the final bend.
Race 10   PHILLIPS HORSE TRANSPORT MARES MOBILE PACE
SUZIE ROCKS - the connections advised this mare would be racing in season. Paced roughly on the final bend losing ground.
PAY ME SPEEDY - weakened leaving the final bend.
BOARDING CALL - raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.
ESPECIAL - the connections advised this mare would be racing in foal. Over-raced in the middle stages. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
EASTWOOD ISABELLA - briefly hampered rounding the final bend and had to be steadied. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
Connections advised on 29th December that ART COURAGE has been served since last racing.
