| Trainer B White advised Stewards on 23 December that ONE APOLLO has been treated with antibiotics subsequent to the race after having a slow recovery. Mr White added that the horse has been sent to co-trainers G Anderson & M Love for the immediate future in an attempt to freshen the gelding on the beach with a view of resuming at the Central Otago TC meeting on 2 January 2022. |
| Co-trainer M Purdon advised Stewards on 23 December that bloods tests taken from AMERICAN PRIDE subsequent to its last start revealed the gelding was suffering from dehydration and has since been treated. |

| Stable representative B Hope advised Stewards on 23 December that blood tests taken from MOSSDALE MAY subsequent to its last start revealed no abnormalities. Mr Hope added that the stable had since made gear changes to the filly which trialed well at Rangiora yesterday and it would now be restricted to all weather tracks in the immediate future. |

| Stewards spoke with co-trainer/driver C DeFilippi regarding the performance of HEZA SPORT subsequent to its last start. Mr DeFilippi advised that the race had not been run to suit with the gelding weakening over the concluding stages. He added that the horse would now be freshened prior to resuming. Mr DeFilippi was also spoken to advisedly for the manner he drove near the 400 metres and advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground. |
