Broke late in the run home and continued on in a break across the finish line. Following the race Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 870(5) against the gelding's 3rd placing alleging the horse was lapped on by the 4th placed CHEEKY MONKEY. After viewing the replays, the photo finish and hearing evidence from the Stewards and Trainer/Driver N Williamson, the Adjudicative Committee ruled that DONALD TRUMP was not lapped on and placing's were duly authorised.
