Race 7 - ADVANCED JOINERY HANDICAP TROT
Driver C Thornley (CLYDE) was shown a replay and advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in the run home after crowding inside runners near the 150 metres when attempting to avoid the weakening SHE REIGNS which was hanging outwards.

Race 1   BROSNANS TRANSPORT LTD PASSING LANE TROT
GLENIS'S DRAGON - fractious and fell to the track on two occasions prior to the start and was declared a late scratching on Veterinary advice with the start being delayed until the filly was able to leave the track. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming and to complete one satisfactory trial from a stand.
SHOW THE WAY - broke at the start losing ground.
KOSCIUSZKO -fractious prior the start.
ROSE ISLE - broke at the start and shifted up the track hampering trailing runners losing ground. Weakened from the 500 metres.
TYRON AROHANUI - broke briefly racing into the first bend.
GALWAY GIRL - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 1400 metres losing considerable ground.
TERROR COVE - hampered in the early stages and broke as a result losing ground.
KAHNTDOITALONE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
MAGNIFIQUE DIMANCHE - broke near the 400 metres.
LOOKSLIKEATRIXTER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Lay in throughout the run home when under pressure.
VERTIGO - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Broke passing the 70 metres and failed to settle. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing which was not contested by the connections and VERTIGO was disqualified by the Adjudicative Committee.
Race 2   BROWN & SHIPMAN 1969 LTD MOBILE PACE
RANGER RICK - held up leaving the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver J Dunn reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
ADHIKA - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
MAN UNITED - raced three wide without cover from the 700 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance driver R May could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the colt's performance.
TIDE AND TIME - over-raced in the early stages when leading.
MIKIS SHINEING STAR - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1300 metres. Held up leaving the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home. Raced greenly over the concluding stages when shifting wider to obtain clear racing room.
STELLAR ARDEN - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1000 metres.
YOU CAN FLY ARDEN - held up leaving the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
GET KRAKEN - raced four wide from the 600 metres.
TREMENDOUS LOVER - lay in on the final bend dislodging a track marker. Held up leaving the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home.
SPLASH OF CRIMSON - raced greenly at various stages throughout.
ZUSAK - paced roughly at various stages throughout.
AZOR AHAI - raced wide in the early stages.
Race 3   THE HYDRO BAR / BURGERS BUTCHERY PACE
There was a delay to the start when several horses were fractious with WATCH ME falling to the track and contacting SHE'S GOT STYLE with driver J Dunn being dislodged. There was a further delay when SHE'S GOT STYLE required a change of sulky and the start time was put back by the TAB.
WATCH ME - fractious and fell to the track prior to the start and was declared a late scratching by order of Stewards. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial from a stand. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SHE'S GOT STYLE - underwent a Veterinary examination in the preliminary and was cleared to race. Driver J Dunn was dislodged prior to the start with the sulky being damaged which required replacement. Mr Dunn was unharmed in this incident. SHE'S GOT STYLE underwent a further Veterinary examination before being cleared to start.
MORRISSEY - fractious after a delay to the start and sent to the unruly position by the Starter where the gelding will remain for future standing starts. Broke on the final bend.
DOUBT I'M DREAMING - broke at the start.
BOW MACH - fractious after a delay to the start and sent to the unruly position by the Starter where the gelding will remain for future standing starts.
AIRIES GOLD - driver G Shand was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after making abnormal respiratory noises during the running which revealed no abnormalities.
NORDY STAR - broke briefly passing the 450 metres.
Race 4   TIMARU CURRY CLUB TROT
LINE A LOVE - fractious prior to the start with a warning placed on the mare's barrier record.
ROSSCO TROUBLE - trotted roughly in the early stages. Weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver R May advised that the gelding had trotted roughly in the early stages and got back as a result and had been unable to make ground when forced four wide near the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MERLOT - failed to come up into its barrier position and was fractious prior to the start which caused a delay. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
CONSTELLATION - fractious prior to the start backing away on several occasions. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
MURANO - broke through the barrier strand causing a delay with all runners being turned away to reassemble. Broke at the restart with the filly placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
ILSAS SON - broke briefly passing the 250 metres.
HANOVER DA MOON - fractious prior to the start with a warning placed on the gelding's barrier record.
Race 5   AORAKI FRAME & TRUSS PACE
SAINT WAITAKI - broke briefly at the start.
OLIVER NORTH - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages.
MISSMOLLYGOODGOLLY - held up early stages of the run home.
NIKOL FRANCO - held up final bend.
THE CONQUEROR - broke briefly at the start.
CHAL PATCH - broke briefly at the start.
EMMA'S BOY - broke shortly after start and veered into the infield and was retired from the event. On further inspection it was found that the crupper had broken. This gear was in previously good condition with trainer I Court deemed not to be at fault.
DECEPTIVE LEE - over-raced at various stages throughout.
SOVIET STAR - broke briefly at the start.
STAMP DUTY(AUS) - trainer M House was warned for presenting the gelding without the saddlecloth number. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 6   LINEAGE LOGISTICS / SILVER FERN FARMS PAREORA HCP TROT
PRINCE RANIER - held up final bend and for the majority of the run home only finding clear racing room over the concluding stages.
IDEAL INVASION - broke after 100 metres. Weakened from the 500 metres.
SHANDON BELLS - broke after 100 metres. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MAUI - driver D McCormick admitted using his whip free of the rein in the run home and was fined $200 by the Adjudicative Committee.
CLYDE - broke at the start.
FRANCO JOSIAH - broke briefly shortly after the start. Broke again racing into the first bend with the gelding stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke passing the 200 metres.
PRINCE TEKA - cast a shoe near the 1500 metres.
Race 7   TIMARU METAL RECYCLERS MOBILE PACE
CASINO ACTION - lay out on the final bend under pressure despite the efforts of junior driver C Dalgety.
TASMAN TEMPEST - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
HIRANYA - raced three wide with cover from the 800 metres and wider rounding the final bend only battling over the concluding stages. When spoken to regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised that the gelding had got too far back and had found it difficult to make up ground on a fast tempo.
JACK RYAN - raced wide in the early stages.
HIGH FLYING HARRY - raced wide in the middle stages.
SMOKIN ANNIE - raced wide in the early stages.
TAXMAN - when spoken to regarding the perceived improved performance trainer W Low advised that the gelding was racing down a grade today compared to its last start where it had finished well on a fast pace. He added he was confident of a good performance today and was not surprised by the result.
JOHN JAMES PRESTON - raced three wide from the 1300 metres and without cover from the 1000 metres. Weakened leaving the final bend.
SNEAK A PEEK - raced wide with cover from the 1200 metres. Driver M Williamson advised he was unable to release the hopple shorteners due to the cord being entangled.
MOSSMAN - raced wide with cover from the 1200 metres.
Race 8   TYRE GENERAL TIMARU SUMMER CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
CHAMPAGNEANDWINE - tangled away.
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - broke at the start.
NO TIME LIKE NOW - paced roughly in the early stages. Over-raced middle stages.
LAST OF THE MOHICANS - raced wide in the early stages. When spoken to regarding the gelding's performance driver R May advised the horse had been unsuited to racing parked at its first race back from a spell.
HEZA SPORT - fractious prior to the start.
SUPERBASS - broke at the start.
GILLIGANS ISLAND - over-raced at various occasions throughout. The near side number came adrift during the running.
DRACARYS - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ADIEU FLIRT - trainer J Hay advised on 26 November that the mare has been served since last racing.
Race 9   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES/GEORGE SHAND MEMORIAL HCP TROT
There was a delay of approximately 19 minutes to the start of this event when MEXICANA reared and fell to the track around at the start area, the filly then reared again and fell heavily to the track. The horse was immediately attended to by the on course Veterinarian however was confirmed to be deceased and was transported from the track by the Horse Ambulance.
TEST THE BOUNDARIES - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Trotted roughly in the run home.
THE BLOSS - held up early stages of the run home.
SUPERFAST LAD - late scratching at 4.00pm on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
COUNT EYRE - trotted roughly passing the 600 metres and had to be steadied. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
SPY DA MOMENT - fractious and reared prior to the start causing a delay with a warning placed on the gelding's barrier record. Broke briefly at the start.
Trainer J Howe advised Stewards on 1 December that SHOW ME THE GRAY has had its hocks injected since last racing.
Race 10   FIRE & SAFETY TRAINING LTD MOBILE PACE
The start of this race was re-scheduled to 8.05pm by the TAB after the delay in the previous race.
TOWN ECHO - held up final bend.
TOM MARTIN - hung in and paced roughly on the final bend.
JUST HOLLA - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of slight dehydration with a normal heart rate and slow recovery.
OFF THE EDGE - over-raced middle stages. Unable to obtain clear racing room throughout the run home and as a result driver G O'Reilly did not activate the removable deafeners.
BUCKSKIN - raced three wide without cover from the 750 metres. When spoken to regarding the perceived improved performance trainer R Davis advised that today's race was a drop in class and the race had been run to suit with the gelding being able to improve forward into the race. He added that the horse had been working well prior to today's assignment.
QUARTERBACK - junior driver A Cameron was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
