Race 1   RHRC WELCOMES JACK WILLIAM HIGGINS AMATEUR MOB PACE
MR ASIA - back slightly at the start after being crowded for racing room late in the score up.
REFINE - crowded racing into the first bend and had to be steadied. Over-raced middle stages. Driver G Cook admitted using his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home and was fined $200 by the Adjudicative Committee.
FLAMBOYANT - over-raced middle stages when racing in the parked position.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - driver C Negus was issued with a warning for shifting ground when insufficiently clear of REFINE racing into the first bend which had to be restrained.
EL DORADO - out of position at the start. Driver B Wilmott was issued with a warning. Raced four wide from the 700 metres.
ROYAL JESTER - out of position at the start. Driver A Edge was issued with a warning.
DREAMINSOVER - an Information was lodged due to driver P Wallace not activating the hopple shorteners with the enquiry being adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee. Mr Wallace will also be spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
Race 2   HAPPY 65TH BIRTHDAY PETER RIELLY MOBILE TROT
JESPER FAST - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Stewards questioned Driver R Holmes regarding the non-activation of the deafeners on the gelding. Mr Holmes explained that despite being able to pressure the horse with his whip and reins in the run home he felt the horse may have broken if he had released the deafeners. After considering the matter, Mr Holmes was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice.
ANDOVERFIST - broke near the 1500 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MISS YO - broke in the score up and switched to a pace causing the filly to lose ground and be out of position at the start.
BROTHER LOVE - trotted roughly through the middle stages losing ground.
ACTION PACKED - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trotted roughly through the middle stages. Broke near the 150 metres. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
COOL PHELAN - back from the unruly position at the start.
Race 3   BLACK BEECH WINE & PIZZA BAR OXFORD PACE
CHEEKYGRIN - paced roughly racing into the first bend and had to be steadied.
SOUTHERN STORM - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Driver S Ottley reported that due to this she did not activate the sliding blinds on the gelding.
ZULU'S SISTER - trainer B Negus was issued a warning for presenting the filly with removable deafeners which had not been notified. Fractious behind the barrier then broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened from the 500 metres.
FEARLESS GIRL - weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver J Dunn could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
CRYSTAL DAYTOM - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
THE TERRORIST - fractious behind the barrier then broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CUTE ART - the connections advised the mare would be racing in season.
MAXIMILIAN - weakened leaving the final bend. Driver N Burton was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion on the final bend.
Trainer T Bagrie advised Stewards on 25 November that FEARLESS GIRL has been retired for breeding purposes.
Race 4   NORTH CANTERBURY TC TRIALS AT RANGIORA MOB PACE
TALIESIN - held up final bend.
ROLLWITHIT - driver T Trathen was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
VICTOR BRAVO - broke racing into the first bend checking trailing runners. Broke again near the 1400 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-trainer G Hope advised the gelding had failed to handle the track today and he intended to race the horse at other venues in the immediate future.
MAJOR WILSON - checked and broke briefly racing into the first bend.
HILDA MAUD - hampered racing into the first bend having to be steadied. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer A Washington advised she had made changes to the filly's gear by adding a heavier set of hopples after the horse had broken at its last start which had proved beneficial.
HEY TONIGHT - hampered racing into the first bend having to be steadied. Hung inwards rounding the final bend and throughout the run home causing driver J Dunn some difficulty.
LUNAR LEGEND - paced roughly and broke for a short distance near the 1600 metres.
THE COBBLER - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 5   COPY THAT 'NZ CUP WINNER' JUNIOR DRIVERS PACE
CLASSEY ROBIN - slow to begin.
TERRIER - weakened final bend.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - broke at the start losing all chance. Stewards refrained from taking action against the horse due to the delay to the start.
PERCY - junior driver T Bamford (assisted by T Chmiel) admitted causing a delay to the start when turning his runner out of formation despite the instructions of the Starter and was fined $200 by the Adjudicative Committee. Mr Bamford was also warned for using his whip free of the rein in the run home. Mr Bamford was further questioned regarding the tactics he adopted on the final bend when being held up behind a weakening runner. Mr Bamford advised the gelding had locked on the outside rein from the 600 metres causing him difficulty and despite his efforts he had been unable to maintain his position in the two wide line resulting in his horse becoming held up. After considering the matter and viewing replays which verified Mr Bamford's explanation no further action was deemed necessary.
CLASSIE WASHINGTON - junior driver K Newman (assisted by R May) admitted causing a delay to the start when turning his runner out of formation despite the instructions of the Starter and was fined $200 by the Adjudicative Committee.
GLASSY WEBB - fractious behind the barrier and despite the preventative efforts of driver E Barron made contact with the barrier. This runner then reared and swung outwards having to be turned away. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial from a stand. Slow to begin. Weakened from the 500 metres. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days. The connections advised Stewards it was their intention to restrict the horse to mobile starts in the immediate future.
Trainer T Barron advised Stewards on 26 November that GLASSY WEBB has recovered well from its last start and would continue with its current preparation.
Race 6   CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES - RANGIORA 19 DECEMBER MOBILE PACE
There was a delay to the start due to RED RIGHT HAND requiring a change of sulky.
SPORTS QUEEN - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
WESTAR MOLLY - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
BELLE'S BOY - broke in the early stages of the score up however was able to take up its allocated position at the start. Paced roughly racing into the first bend having to be steadied. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend. Trainer M Purvis advised he was very disappointed with the effort today and he intended to have blood tests taken. Stewards will follow up the results in the coming days.
RED RIGHT HAND - when questioned regarding the performance driver R Close and trainer A Stuart both advised the gelding had become stirred up after having to return to the stable area to have a change of sulky. Mr Close added that he was unable to activate the sliding blinds on the gelding due to the cord malfunctioning. Trainer A Stuart was deemed not to be at fault and no further action was taken.

Driver R May (THE TERRORFIER) admitted using his whip free of the rein in the run home with his driver's licence being suspended by the Adjudicative Committee from the conclusion of racing on 21 November up to and including 28 November 2021 (3 days).
Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 25 November that BELLE'S BOY returned clear blood tests but was suffering from a slight case of dehydration with Mr Purvis adding that the gelding had worked well in preparation for its engagement at Addington on Sunday.
Race 7   SUNDEES SON 'DOMINION TROT WINNER' TROT
RACHMANINOV - broke at the start losing ground. Driver T Grant was warned for using his whip free of the rein in the run home.
MOMENT OF KAOS - trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground. Broke near the 700 metres losing all chance.
ZSAHARA - over-raced middle stages. Held up for clear racing room until late in the run home.
READY I AM - trotted roughly and broke passing the 1000 metres losing all chance.
