Race 1   PGG WRIGHTSON HANDICAP TROT
MACKALI - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer N Poingdestre.
ALVIRA HEST - broke at the 700 metres losing all chance.
THANK YOU - broke late in the run home. Stewards lodged a Protest against 4th placing being awarded to this gelding alleging the horse was in the incorrect gait when its nose reached the finish line and was lapped on by LEESA CASTLETON (5th). Driver P Davis did not contest the Protest and after viewing replays the Adjudicative Committee relegated THANK YOU to 5th placing.
KRISTOFFERSON - hung inwards in the early and middle stages. Weakened at the 400 metres.
Race 2   CONNIE STEWART NZ SOTHEBY'S INTERNATIONAL REALTY MOB PACE
ROCKNROYDON - unable to hold its position on the back of the leader passing the 600 metres which allowed GREENBACK BOOGIE to take up a position in the trail. Broke on the final bend briefly hampering trailing runners and after returning to its gait paced roughly over the concluding stages.
AMOREENA - briefly hampered on the final bend before weakening over the concluding stages.
NICKY JAY - over-raced early and middle stages.
Race 3   POST OFFICE HOTEL PAHIATUA MOBILE PACE
LAVISH ART - lay out throughout the running and in particular in the home straight when attempting to utilise the passing lane.
LETSGODANCING - over-raced middle stages. Driver P Davis was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
SIPOWICZ - raced wide early stages. Weakened from the 500 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
NOWUCMENOWUDON'T - held up throughout the home straight.
I WON'T BACK DOWN - Driver S Dickson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion over the concluding stages and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.
Race 4   "LATHER UP" FILLIES & MARES SPEED SERIES MOBILE PACE
WESTBURN BLISS - broke racing into the first bend. Weakened over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver R Holmes advised that he felt the mare may have jumped a shadow causing it to break and also cast a shoe whilst galloping.
MANHATTAN SUNSHINE - briefly held up early stages of the run home.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - Driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SMOKINHOTCHEDDAR - broke briefly shortly after the start.
SHEZSOMETHINSPECIAL - over-raced early and middle stages.
Race 5   MASTERTON CLUB MANAWATU GRADUATION FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
IDEAL ZEN - shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

Race 6   MAD BUTCHER WAIRARAPA CUP (MOBILE PACE)
GREATEST SHOWMAN - Driver S Doody admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion over the concluding stages and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Doody's drivers licence from the conclusion of racing on 18 November up to and including 2 December 2021 (2 days).
MAHIA - Driver S Dickson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion over the concluding stages and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Dickson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 18 November up to and including 2 December 2021 (2 days).
MOGUL - out of position at the start. Junior Driver W House was issued with a warning. Stewards questioned Mr House (assisted by Driver B Orange) regarding his tactics when after racing three wide through the early to middle stages he then worked forward to race parked outside the leader rather than continue on to the lead. Mr House advised the horse had raced parked in its 2 previous starts and won both and he thought similar tactics today would be successful but the effort had taken its toll on the gelding with it weakening over the concluding stages.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - raced four wide from the 600 metres. When spoken to Driver B Orange advised that racing wide in the middle stages without cover it had taken a toll on the gelding with it weakening over the concluding stages.
Race 7   OSBORNE GROUP CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE PACE
