Race 1   FEAR THE DRAGON AT MACCA LODGE/KENNY BUILDERS MOBILE PACE
STEEL CRUSHER - lay inwards rounding the first bend contacting several track markers.
CASTER SEMENYA - paced roughly on the final bend.
ELOUISA DALE - briefly held up leaving the final bend.
Race 2   ONE OVER DA MOON / SOUTHWEST SHEARING TROT
RANDOM SPUR - broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Raced wide without cover from the 700 metres. Again broke near the 400 metres losing all chance.
MINNIE MCGOOGAN - forced wider on the track by a breaking runner racing into the first bend . Raced greenly for a short distance near the 800 metres when leading. Driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
TEASE MY TARTAN - broke at the start losing all chance.
KIWI HEIR - broke near the 200 metres.
DON AMECHE - trotted roughly and broke after 100 metres losing all chance.
Race 3   JJ OTAGO / THOMPSON CONTRACTING MOBILE PACE
SCHIAVONE - hung inwards throughout the run home. When asked to comment on the performance Driver M Williamson advised the mare had received every opportunity and he could offer no explanation.
WONTHAVTIME - paced roughly in the early stages and had to be steadied.
ATARAH - lay inwards in the score-up.
Following the running of this race the official track conditions were upgraded to Good.
Race 4   NIGHT N' DAY LAWRENCE-BALCLUTHA-MILTON MOBILE TROT
MISS JESSICA - Trainer T Robertson reported the mare has had a wind operation since last racing. Lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the first bend and continued to lay inwards on the bends thereafter.
SACRED MOUNTAIN - broke in the score-up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
PEARLSPUR - broke in the score-up. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Authorisation of dividends was withheld until the Stewards had spoken with Junior Driver S O'Reilly regarding PEARLSPUR breaking in the score-up. Miss O'Reilly advised the mare had broken of its own accord and free of interference with the All Clear duly authorised.
JANNAH JACCKA - broke near the 300 metres.
DONT ASK - trotted roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Driver B Williamson reported the filly had trotted roughly on various occasions during the running.
ONE TWO MENNY - broke for a short distance near the 1800 metres. Over-raced and trotted roughly through the middle stages. Again broke near the 400 metres.
Race 5   LAWRENCE TOWNHOUSE / CHAPMAN CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
RIGHTY OH FERNCO - paced roughly when placed in restricted room near the 400 metres after being briefly contacted by an outside runner. Weakened on the final bend.
SPEIGHTS ON TAP - lay inwards near the 400 metres and despite the efforts of Driver B McLellan made contact with the hind leg of RIGHTY OH FERNCO. Mr McLellan reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre in this incident. Continued to lay inwards on the final bend and dislodged a track marker.
TARTAN RAIDER - broke near the 300 metres. When asked to comment on this Driver S Ottley could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
THE BIG LEBOWSKI - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver R Swain. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up on the final bend.
RAZOR SHARP - hung outwards and paced roughly approaching the first bend causing Driver C Ferguson some difficulty.
THE HIGH COMMANDER - over-raced in the early stages. Hung inwards and paced roughly on various occasions during the running. When asked to comment on the performance driver M Williamson advised the gelding had led in its previous two race day starts however had raced greenly today when amongst other horses. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 6   LYDERS CONTRACTING / TUAPEKA SHEEP DIPPING MOBILE PACE
TARTAN ROXY - paced roughly on the final bend.
CAST A SHADOW - over-raced in the middle stages.
MUCHO MACHO MAN - held up in the early stages of the run home.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - under pressure from the 700 metres.
LYNRYD SKYNRYD - raced wide without cover from the 1300 metres.
Race 7   CRAWFORD FAMILY / LIFE MEMBERS MOBILE PACE
CHANGEAROUND - held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
PETE'S DASH - Trainer/Driver D O'Connell reported this gelding had lay inwards on various occasions during the running. Trainer D O'Connell advised Stewards on 29 October that the gelding has had its hocks injected since last racing.
THE NIGHT WATCHMAN - under pressure from the 600 metres. Driver R Swain reported he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 600 metres.
MIDNITETRAINTOGEORGA - over-raced in the middle stages. Hung inwards and paced roughly on the final bend when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner, then weakened thereafter.
I'M WATCHING YOU - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Junior Driver T Nally. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
THE OTHER BROTHER - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up near the 500 metres.
AMERICAN EYRETIME - over-raced in the middle stages. Placed in restricted room and contacted the the sulky wheel of the weakening THE NIGHT WATCHMAN near the 600 metres. Briefly held up leaving the final bend and shifted ground inwards entering the home straight to obtain clear running. Stewards lodged a Protest against 1st placing being awarded to AMERICAN EYRETIME alleging this mare had gained an advantage when racing inside a track marker just prior to the Passing Lane and thereby received a run earlier than entitled. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee upheld the Protest and disqualified AMERICAN EYRETIME from 1st placing. Driver B Barclay defended a subsequent charge that he allowed his sulky to protrude inside a track marker gaining an advantage. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Barclay's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing today up to and including the 7 November 2021 (2 days).
SHE'S A DAGG - briefly hampered by a tiring runner near the 600 metres.
RAKASTELLA - raced wide for a distance through the middle stages. Lay inwards on the final bend becoming awkwardly placed close to AB'S TENANTS having to corrected by Driver P Hunter.
Race 8   DAN CUMMINGS MEMORIAL TUAPEKA LODGE CUP (HCP PACE)
SANTANNA MACH - tangled away.
PADDYPROUDFOOT - Driver K Barclay was issued with a warning for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
CHUCKLES - tangled away. Over-raced from the 1000 metres. Paced roughly on the final bend.
SOMEKINDAWONDERFUL - broke briefly shortly after the start. Over-raced for a distance passing the 1300 metres.
Race 9   CARRFIELDS LIVESTOCK / WATTLEBANK STANDARDBREDS MOB PACE
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - lay inwards on the final bend striking several track markers.
ROBYNS SHADOW - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
MELTON MAFIA - Trainer J Campbell was issued with a warning when presenting this runner with the incorrect colours. Broke near the 400 metres. Trainer/Driver J Campbell advised he would be making gear changes prior to the horse resuming.
CALYPSO ROCK - unsuccessfully challenged for the lead for a distance passing the 1600 metres. Over-raced through the middle stages. Weakened from the 300 metres.
AMERICAN MAC - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
LOVE ON THE ROCKS - broke leaving the final bend and shifted outwards hampering outside runners. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.
BEAUTY BARRY - weakened on the final bend. When asked to comment on the performance Driver S Ottley advised the gelding had travelled well however had failed to respond when placed under pressure and had been very disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Trainer S Baucke advised on the 29th of October that I'MALLABOUTTHEBASE has been served since last racing.
Race 10   BILL FITZGERALD CONTRACTING / YOUNG FAMILY MOBILE PACE
CALICO HILL - weakened on the final bend.
WATTLEBANK STAR - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
SILK - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
ESPECIAL - paced roughly before breaking near the 300 metres and was not persevered with thereafter. When asked to comment regarding this Driver B Orange advised the mare had given him reason for concern after becoming very awkward in its gait prior to breaking. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
AH MACH - awkwardly placed on the sulky wheel of CALICO HILL in the score-up, losing ground and being out of position at the start. Junior Driver O Kite will be spoken to in the coming days regarding this.
