Race 1   STEINLAGER PURE MOBILE PACE
NATURAL FIRE - hampered in the score-up and was back slightly at the start. Driver P Clabby was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which he drove near the 1600 metres when restraining his gelding off the back of the leader PRODIGAL PETE which resulted in several trailing runners being hampered.
PRODIGAL PETE - shifted inwards in the early stages of the score-up hampering a trailing runner. Lay in late in the score-up again hampering an inside runner. Driver J Kriechbaumer was shown a replay of this incident and advised to take greater corrective action in future.
MAURICE - over-raced in the score-up and in the early stages before being restrained towards the rear of the field. Made contact with the sulky wheel of PLAY BALL passing the 1600 metres after an easing of the pace.
FRANKIE JONES - hampered passing the 1600 metres after an easing of the pace.
Race 2   NEW ZEALAND HORSE AMBULANCE TRUST MOBILE PACE
M T POCKETS - hampered and had to be steadied approaching the 1700 metres when STARRY STAR lay in.
ARDEN'S HORIZON - raced in the parked position from the 1600 metres before weakening in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver Z Butcher reported that the colt was fresh up tonight and the horse's condition had given out over the final stages and would derive benefit from the run.
STARRY STAR - lay in at various stages and in particular rounding the final bend with driver M McKendry reporting that he did not activate the removable deafeners. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. The connections advised that the mare was better suited to racing left handed.
Race 3   HR FISKEN & SONS HANDICAP TROT
RECYCLE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period and was cleared to start. Tangled away.
YUROK - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer S Green.
CHICAGO H - broke rounding the first bend but soon settled.
AARDIEBYTHEHILL - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
UNCLE LOUIS - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period and was cleared to start. Broke passing the 400 metres losing ground before settling.
ROYAL PRIDE - an investigation was held into an incident near the 1200 metres where ROYAL PRIDE raced wider on the track after UNCLE LOUIS had shifted away from the marker line. It was established that driver N Munro (UNCLE LOUIS) had commenced his outward movement prior to ROYAL PRIDE covering his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. Broke approaching the 400 metres losing its chance.
Race 4   NISBA SUPPORTS FILLIES & MARES AT ALEXANDRA PARK MOB PACE
MISS MONTANA - shifted out briefly shortly after the start and hampered FOREVER A DANCER when that runner was restraining to take the trailing position.
HARRY KANE - driver S Reid was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
MITCH - broke in the score-up losing considerable ground but recovered to be in position at dispatch.
PAULY D - raced wide early stages.
ARGYLE - weakened final bend.
NEXT TO ME - broke after 100 metres losing ground. Hung inwards and over-raced rounding the first bend. Again hung inwards near the 900 metres losing several lengths. Weakened final bend.
Race 5   SWEET LOU @ WOODLANDS TENDER BY 29 OCT MOBILE PACE
LOUIE LEBEAU - paced roughly shortly after the start when being restrained. Driver A Sharpe was shown a replay and spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the middle stages of the run home.
PASQUALE - trainer R Green was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding with blinds which had not been notified.
Race 6   LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK MOBILE PACE
THE MISSING SOCK - weakened in the run home. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slightly slow recovery. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the filly with connections in the coming days.
BE MY ROSE - briefly locked wheels with OHOKA ACHILLES passing the 1300 metres.
ARDEN VELOCITY - raced keenly middle stages.
CHABLIS - faltered passing the 600 metres and again near the 400 metres. Driver T Herlihy eased the horse down and it was not persevered with thereafter. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the filly to have suffered a suspected fractured pastern of the near fore leg and was treated by the on-course Veterinarian before being transported to a local Veterinary clinic for further assessment. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance.
OHOKA ACHILLES - raced wide early and middle stages. Briefly locked wheels with BE MY ROSE passing the 1300 metres. An investigation was held into an incident passing the 1300 metres where OHOKA ACHILLES raced wider on the track after BE MY ROSE had shifted away from the marker line. It was established that driver Z Butcher (BE MY ROSE) had commenced his outward movement prior to OHOKA ACHILLES covering his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
Race 7   SPEEDING SPUR @ WOODLANDS TENDER BY 29 OCT F & M HCP TROT
SKY HIGH FLYER - weakened passing the 400 metres.
RUBY RIDGE - veered outwards and broke briefly at the start. Broke passing the 1300 metres hampering a trailing runner.
HILL OF PEACE - trotted roughly early in the run home and was denied clear racing room passing the 100 metres before being shifted inwards over the concluding stages. Driver M Wallis will be spoken to for using her whip free of the rein in the early stages of the run home.
EMMA FROST - broke rounding the first bend and trailed the field throughout.
LEXI T - driver J Stormont was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
ALDEBARAN FLAME - hampered near the 1300 metres by a breaking runner. Placed in restricted room passing the 150 metres and lost ground when RAIN MIST AND MUSCLE lay in briefly and SUPERFAST NINJA was dictated wider on the track by an inside runner that was laying outwards.
SUPERFAST NINJA - shifted ground outwards passing the 150 metres away from IN SEQUENCE which also shifted ground.
RAIN MIST AND MUSCLE - lay in rounding the final bend having to be corrected by driver C Hackett. Lay in briefly again passing the 150 metres placing ALDEBARAN FLAME in restricted room.
IN SEQUENCE - lay outwards in the run home and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver S Phelan.
Race 8   AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 TROT
THE GOVERNATOR - broke near the 450 metres losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 5th placing was withheld until Stewards had viewed the replay and were satisfied that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
HELSINGOR - fractious prior to the start causing a delay and was sent to the unruly by the Starter. Broke after 200 metres. Broke again passing the 1400 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of Trainer S Green.
ERROL D - slow over the early stages.
CYBER ATTACK - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
ROSSELLINI - broke near the 750 metres losing its chance.
