Race 1   SKI TIME MT HUTT TROT
REINDEER TROUBLE - displayed poor barrier manners contributing to a delay to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MASTEROFTHEMANOR - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably.
AWESOME IMPEE - fractious prior to the start and breasted the barrier strand resulting in the horses being turned away causing a delay to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
PAIGE - displayed poor barrier manners contributing to a delay to the start. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Broke near the 2000 metres and shifted out striking the sulky wheel of GINAS MAJESTY.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - broke after 150 metres losing ground. Weakened final bend.
GINAS MAJESTY - raced wide without cover from the 900 metres. Trotted roughly in the run home.
HANOVER DA MOON - lay inwards abruptly near the 40 metres and had to be corrected by its driver before trotting roughly to the finish line.
MOONS WAY - trotted roughly throughout.
BUILD A BRIDGE - broke after 150 metres losing ground. Weakened final bend. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after making abnormal breathing noises during the running with this examination revealing no abnormalities.
ANDOVERFIST - slow in the early stages. Broke near the 1300 metres losing ground. Weakened final bend.
ADITI - lay outwards rounding the final bend. Driver G Smith advised he had difficulty steering the filly throughout.
Race 2   METHVEN SEED CLEANING MOBILE PACE
Starter R Donnelly advised Stewards that the strong winds had caused him some difficulty in rating the speed of the mobile which led to a quicker than anticipated score up causing some horses to be out of position at the start. Stewards were mindful of this when assessing penalties that were to be imposed.
LECONTE - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1000 metres.
MONELLIE - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1000 metres.
GREENBACK BOOGIE - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1000 metres.
REGGIE GOLIGHTLY - over-raced early and middle stages. Raced fiercely near the 1700 metres causing R May some difficulty.
TAURUS BROMAC - raced greenly when leading near the 1000 metres causing an easing of the pace hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ROLLYARRRZ - hampered and locked wheels with VALERIE VERDE after an easing of the pace near the 1000 metres.
VALERIE VERDE - locked wheels with ROLLYARRRZ and broke losing its chance after an easing of the pace near the 1000 metres.
JONTY'S BROTHER - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1000 metres.
BLACKJACK ROAD - out of position at the start by a considerable distance. Placed on the unruly for mobile starts. Weakened final bend.
Race 3   BRINKLEY VILLAGE PACE
ALI X - lay inwards throughout the run home.
PURE COURAGE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2000 metres.
GET OUTTA TOWN - hampered by breaking runner near the 2000 metres.
MAJOR ARMA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2000 metres. Briefly held up for clear racing room near the 100 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance driver R May advised that after settling towards the rear the gelding had failed to respond when placed under pressure on the final bend and had been unable to make up ground as he had anticipated.
WHITE SHARK - raced wide early stages.
AIRIES GOLD - slow to begin then broke briefly. Over-raced middle stages.
CHEEKYGRIN - broke near the 2000 metres hampering trailing runners and losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver G Smith advised he would be recommending gear changes to the connections. Mr Smith was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
THE GOOD DOCTOR - slow to begin.
Race 4   MT HUTT TROTTING CLUB MOBILE PACE
PRECIOUS SARA - driver T Williams reported he had difficulty steering the mare throughout.
BEEPS - raced wide early stages and was restrained to the rear of the field. Again raced wide from the 700 metres. Stewards questioned driver B Borcoskie regarding his decision not to release the hopple shorteners until the 200 metres. Mr Borcoskie advised that after racing wide early the gelding proved difficult to drive in the middle stages however conceded he should have activated them earlier than he did. After considering his explanation Stewards issued him with a warning.
JESSIE KELLY - late scratching at 10.02am on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SZYBKA LANE - driver J Dunn reported he had not activated the sliding blinds or removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 5   RAINER IRRIGATION TROT
TEST THE BOUNDARIES - shifted out on the final bend contacting the sulky wheel of BELLA BUTTON. Stewards spoke with driver J Ford regarding this incident where it was established that both runners had shifted ground simultaneously resulting in the contact being made and no further action was deemed necessary.
FAST WHISPERING - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for standing starts.
BELLA BUTTON - driver J Morrison reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre on the final bend.
SHIFFTY - broke at the start losing ground.
ILLEGAL ALIEN - trainer K James was warned for presenting ILLEGAL ALIEN without the notified blinds. Weakened final bend.
MAJESTIC JAG - held up final bend and early stages of the run home. Broke near the 100 metres.
INSTANT DELIGHT - broke at the start losing all chance.
SHES SO RIGHT - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
MIGHTY FLYING ROCKER - paced at the start and had to be broken up losing its chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trainer/driver B Butt reported the horse would race as a pacer in its upcoming starts.
Race 6   BETAVET JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
REFINE - out of position at the start. Driver E Barron was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
TETRICK - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600 metres. Locked wheels with VON ART for a short distance near the 100 metres.
DREAMINSOVER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
EL DORADO - held up early stages of the run home.
VON ART - locked wheels with TETRICK for a short distance near the 100 metres.
DENY EVERYTHING - raced wide from the 1000 metres.
Race 7   PETER LAGAN STANDARDBREDS MOBILE PACE
SCARED STIFF - trainer T Chmiel was warned for presenting SCARED STIFF with sliding blinds which had not been notified.
UNCLE CHAN - driver J Dunn reported he had not activated the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
JOURNO - late scratching at 9.07am on veterinary advice.
PRO SURFER - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 8   THE DUBLINER HANDICAP PACE
AB'S TENANTS - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
KINGSDOWN ATOM - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
STARKERS - briefly hampered at the start when KINGSDOWN ATOM shifted outwards. Over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards and struck track markers passing the 400 metres.
PENELOPE BROMAC - broke near the 2100 metres.
ALLANDALE - tangled away.
BROTHER JOHN - shifted out at the start briefly hampering outside runner.
KENNEDY - briefly hampered at the start when BROTHER JOHN shifted outwards. Raced roughly throughout the run home.
MILS MCARDLE - the start was delayed due to the gelding rearing and backing away resulting in the sulky shaft getting over the back of the horse. Broke near the 1300 metres and again near the 1100 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier and racing record of the gelding.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - hung inwards late in the run home.
CHA CHA B - broke at the start. Lost a front shoe on the final bend.
MIDFREW LUISIANABEAU - over-raced middle stages.
Race 9   "BIG BAD CARL'S" BIG CELEBRATION HANDICAP TROT
DD'S SUPER STUART - trotted roughly middle stages.
SOUTH PARK - a false start was declared when SOUTH PARK became entangled in the barrier strand. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke at the start and continued on in a break for a considerable distance before losing all chance.
FAITH NO MORE - broke at the start losing all chance.
CALL THIS FUN - broke near the 2000 metres losing all chance.
ROYAL DEL - locked wheels momentarily with PRINCE RANIER near the 900 metres after an easing of the pace.
RACHMANINOV - broke briefly after 200 metres.
MOMENT OF KAOS - trotted roughly throughout and lost contact with the body of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer B Negus advised it was his intention to restrict the horse to racing on grass tracks.
SOME TIME - the required veterinary certificate was received. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a heart murmur.
PRINCE RANIER - locked wheels momentarily with ROYAL DEL near the 900 metres after an easing of the pace.
BRIGHT GLOW - had to be steadied near the 900 metres causing a slight easing in the pace hampering trailing runners.

SHEEZAGOLDENGIRL - held up by tiring runner on the final bend.
LOOK SHARP - weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart rate and poor recovery. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
MOODY RIVER - shifted out under pressure throughout the home straight.
IT'S ME - raced wide early stages.
ARCHAIC LUSTRE - raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres. Weakened from the 600 metres.
THE NAENAE EXPRESS - weakened final bend.
JORDY - over-raced middle stages.
SHEELASINLEAGUE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Tomlinson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Top
