Race Comments

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE PACE
TALENT AGENT - over-raced middle stages.
ALL TOGETHER NOW - lay inwards throughout the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver T Chmiel advised the gelding had favoured racing over a longer distance and combined with receiving an economical trip throughout had been able to race up to its potential.
NO GEE ESS TEE - hung inwards when being restrained shortly after the start.
BEST TRIO - raced roughly near the 50 metres and had to be steadied.
FLY LIKA FALCON - weakened over the final stages. When spoken to regarding the performance driver G Smith advised he had been disappointed with the efforts of the gelding. Trainer J Harrington advised he was also very disappointed with the effort and the horse may not have backed up from its run last week. He added that he would be having blood tests taken and Stewards will follow up the results with Mr Harrington in the coming days. Mr Smith was also questioned regarding his decision to shift outwards at the top of the straight and challenge the leader from the outside instead of utilising the available passing lane. Mr Smith advised that in the majority of the gelding's starts the horse had been inclined to lay outwards and so he had made an early decision to shift out in the expectation of having difficulty in bringing the horse down the track. After reviewing this, Stewards took the matter no further.
