Race 4 - BLUE DO 23 SEPTEMBER. TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
Driver T Mitchell (WAITFOREVER) admitted the adjourned charge under Rule 303(2) in that he failed to obey a request from a Stipendary Steward. Mr Mitchell entered a not guilty plea to the adjourned charge of Careless driving under Rule 869(3)(b) with both matters set down to be heard prior to racing at the next Cambridge meeting on 16 September 2021.

ARDEE TROUBLE - raced keenly middle stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed that this runner had suffered a bleeding attack and was subsequently stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary examination required prior to the gelding trialing to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Connections advised that it was their intention to retire ARDEE TROUBLE.
CALL ME TROUBLE - raced keenly middle stages. When questioned Driver D Butcher advised that after having pulled during the running the gelding trotted roughly passing the 100m just as he went to cross his reins to turn his whip and had to be steadied.

WET FLIPFLOPS - over-raced middle stages.
MOZZARELLA - unable to obtain clear running throughout the home straight.
PRIVATE EYE - tended to shift in under pressure in the run home and had to be corrected passing the 50m. Driver N Chilcott was warned to make a greater effort to keep her gelding straight given similar circumstances in the future.
HOLYROOD - Driver D Ferguson admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion early in the run home and was fined $200 by the Adjudicative Committee.
HEZA PLAYER - raced greenly in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Unable to obtain clear running throughout the home straight.
Race 3   NZMCA PARKING AT THE CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE

MAURICE - lay in and paced roughly near the 800m after handing the lead up to STARRY STAR. Lay out passing the 100m contacting the near hind of MAY DELIGHT.
WAITFOREVER - checked passing the 250m and locked wheels with SUSIE REIGNMAKER losing its chance.
MURPHYS REWARD - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to the parked position approaching the 1600m. Checked and paced roughly passing the 250m.
STARRY STAR - raced four wide early and then three wide middle stages before crossing to the parked position near the 1050m.
GIRLS ARE BEST - raced erratically near the 250m and shifted in checking WHOOSHKA and MURPHYS REWARD with resultant interference to trailing runners before breaking losing its chance. Driver T Mitchell advised that the filly had struck a knee and then panicked. A warning was placed on this runner's racing manners.
WHOOSHKA - Trainer K Marshall was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the filly without the notified blinds. Checked and paced roughly passing the 250m.
DOCTOR STEVE - checked inside the 250m when having to take evasive action.
SHEZA ROSE - checked inside the 250m when having to take evasive action.
SUSIE REIGNMAKER - checked passing the 250m and locked wheels with WAITFOREVER losing its chance.
MAY DELIGHT - held up passing the 100m and paced roughly after contacting the sulky wheel of MAURICE with its near hind.
RIVERBOY BEN - sulky contacted inside the 250m with Driver D Butcher being briefly unbalanced.

SWEET CHEVRON - Driver P Ferguson was warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home.
VICTOR BRAVO - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field throughout. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.

VOODOO PRINCE - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final turn.
BE MY ROSE - held up throughout the run home.
ARDEN VELOCITY - broke passing the 1900m but soon settled. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early and middle stages of the run home.

I GOT MUSIC - Driver R Paynter was charged under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip free of the rein in the run home. This matter was adjourned sine die.
JASINOVA - broke shortly after the start hampering GREY STOKE losing considerable ground.
SAFRAKOVA - Driver S McCaffrey was spoken to subsequent to the meeting for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home.
FUNNY FACE - became fractious with the delay and stood on the mark when the barriers were released before being retired from the event. All clear was withheld to enable Stewards to view the replay of the start at the request of Co-trainer/driver D Ferguson to ascertain whether FUNNY FACE had been denied a fair start. It was subsequently established that there were insufficient grounds to declare the filly a non-runner and placing were duly authorised.
MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE - delayed the start when displaying poor barrier manners and was sent to the outside by the Starter. This mare was subsequently stood down for standing events until trialing to the satisfaction of a Steward. Hampered shortly after the start losing some ground.
CHICAGO H - Trainer D Balle was charged a $25 fee for failing to have the correct colours available. Shifted out marginally shortly after the start hampering MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE. Broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
GREY STOKE - hampered shortly after the start by the breaking JASINOVA. Broke near the 1600m after contacting the sulky wheel of MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE but soon settled. Driver F Schumacher admitted a charge on the grounds that he drove carelessly in this incident with the Adjudicative Committee imposing a fine of $200.
Stewards extended some leniency with regard to several horses' manners due to the delay with the start.

BELLVILEY - over-raced middle stages.
SCOTTISH POACHER - paced roughly for a distance over the early stages.
LOUTENANT - broke near the 1900m and settled in midfield. Over-raced middle stages. Broke again passing the 400m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.

BUN IN THE OVEN - Trainer S McCaffrey was cautioned for presenting the filly without the notified blind.
MM SUNSHINE - hampered by the breaking TRIFOLIUM passing the winning post on the first occasion. Driver D Butcher was spoken to advisedly after he used his whip on several occasions free of the rein early in the run home. In considering this matter Stewards took into account Mr Butcher had encountered some difficulty with the activation cord of the deafeners.
TRIFOLIUM - broke shortly after the start hampering MM SUNSHINE before settling.
LOLA - back several lengths in the unruly position at dispatch. Mixed its gait over the early stages losing ground.
