After hearing Mr Cameron's explanation Stewards issued a charge under Rule 868(2) alleging that he had failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible finishing position when he elected to shift inwards near the 200 metres when there was a clear run on the outside. Mr Dunn added that the gelding had peaked on its run over the concluding stages which he attributed to the horse having a restricted training programme in recent weeks along with the fast closing sectionals of tonight's race.
