Race 1   ALABAR 'WORLD CLASS SIRES' REGIONAL SERIES MOBILE PACE
PETE'S DASH - trainer D O'Connell was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding with fixed deafeners which had not been notified.
DONEGAL CARRICKFIN - raced keenly middle stages. Shifted up the track under pressure throughout the final straight. Driver R Houghton was spoken to advisedly regarding this. Mr Houghton reported that he had dropped his whip in the early stages.
VON ART - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Williamson. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised the mare had been uncomfortable in the track conditions throughout and proved disappointing.
Race 2   ULTIMATE SNIPER AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
ROCKIN VA VA - hung outwards through the score up and in the early stages. Continued to lay out between the 1200 and 800 metres.
CARRERA LUCIA - when spoken to regarding the filly's performance driver R Close was not able to offer any explanation for the run and could only advise he was disappointed with her efforts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer R Todd in the coming days.
MRS WASHINGTON - weakened final bend. An investigation was opened into the manner B Weaver drove near the 500 metres when his runner shifted inwards and checked CONQUISTADOR.
REGGIE GOLIGHTLY - paced roughly when being restrained shortly after the start and then raced wide early. Lay in entering the home straight.
ROZHA - late scratching at 10am due to weather related travel disruption.
LIZZIE RICHTER - broke briefly after 150 metres and had to be steadied. Raced wide early and middle stages until being taken forward to race outside the leader near the 1100 metres.
CONQUISTADOR - back from the unruly position in the later stages of the score up. Paced roughly throughout. Checked and broke passing the 500 metres losing its chance.
Race 3   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE AT WOODLANDS MOBILE PACE
ROYAL JESTER - lay out in the run home when attempting to improve in the passing lane.
KOWHAI SHADOW - paced roughly in the run home.
DISMARA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room through the early and middle stages of the run home.
KIWI X FACTOR - trainer B Butt was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding without the notified sliding blinds.
Race 4   CAPTAIN CRUNCH AT NEVELE R STUD PACE
ROCKNROLL DIVA - late scratching at 1.05pm on veterinary advice due to being lame upon arrival oncourse. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
VOYEUR - trainer T May was warned for being late to notify VOYEUR would be racing with blinds. Slow to begin. Raced keenly when being restrained near the 700 metres to obtain cover.
MISS MARKLE - paced roughly on the final bend.
JUSTACE - driver G Smith was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
ELOEL - when spoken to regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the filly and hung throughout and he would be recommending gear changes.
YANKEE JAY - broke at the start and settled at the rear. Raced keenly middle stages before being taken forward to race outside the leader near the 700 metres. Driver J Cox reported the mare had been striking a sulky wheel which had caused this runner to over-race.
ROCK N DIAMONDS - broke briefly at the start.
Race 5   POSTER BOY '1.49.1' AT NORTHERN RIVERS EQUINE HANDICAP PACE
The start was delayed after several runners breasted the respective barrier strands.
KEY REACTOR - late scratching at 1.17pm due to the slushy track conditions.
ZIA BROMAC - broke at the start.
FLAMBOYANT - held up final bend. Had to be heavily restrained near the 200 metres when placed in restricted room.
BROTHER JOHN - raced wide in the early stages. Driver K Newman was cautioned for delaying the start by allowing his runner to move forward prematurely and breast the barrier strand.
SKY VALE - broke at the start.
MY MATE BEN - raced wide from the 1400 metres. Weakened final bend.
STAMP DUTY(AUS) - broke at the start. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home with driver J Curtin reporting that because of this he had not been able to release the gelding's deafeners.
SISTER'S DELIGHT - broke at the start. Driver M Heenan will be spoken to for allowing his runner to move forward prematurely and breast the barrier strand.
Race 6   VINCENT AT ALABAR & NEVELE R MOBILE PACE
BOULTON HOME - commenced to weaken approaching the 600 metres and then compounded to finish distanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance following strenuous exercise.
HONOUR BEFORE GLORY - lay out throughout the run home when attempting to improve in the passing lane.
SAFE ZONE - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer A Washington advised the mare had received a far more beneficial run today than in recent starts and had derived considerable benefit from the removal of the blinds.
FANCY - raced wide in the early stages.
BELLE'S BOY - over-raced passing the 1600 metres and had to be steadied.
MOODY RIVER - hampered by a weakening runner through the back straight on the final occasion.
Race 7   CLASSIC CONNECTION AT HARAS des TROTTEURS TROT
RACHMANINOV - trotted roughly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 350 metres. Driver T Grant was questioned in regard to the manner in which he drove in the middle stages when after being caught wide without cover he elected to remain in that position rather than restrain to the rear and race closer to the marker pegs. Mr Grant advised that in hindsight he should have continued to restrain to the rear but that he had been hopeful of obtaining a trail forward however that did not occur. Mr Grant was subsequently cautioned and advised that he would be expected to show better judgement given similar circumstances in the future.
DD'S SUPER STUART - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Markham advised that after racing towards the rear throughout he had encountered difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the final turn but was satisfied with how the gelding had run on over the final stages.
GOTTA TICKET - broke after 100 metres losing its chance.
BEYOND THE HORIZON - late scratching at 11.45am due to weather related travel disruption.
SOUTH PARK - lay in at various stages. Broke near the 350 metres losing all chance.
PALISADE - held up leaving the back straight and rounding the final turn.
Race 8   WOODLANDS STUD SUPPORTS CANTY BREEDERS MOBILE PACE
BIG MAMA MORRIS - lay inwards rounding the final turn contacting several track markers. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running to the outside of A GUINNESS DANCE in the early stages of the run home.
SOPHIA BROMAC - when spoken to regarding the performance trainer M Smolenski advised that the filly had not been suited to racing without cover.
A GUINNESS DANCE - tended to shift out under pressure in the run home and was corrected by driver R Holmes.
IMMER BESSER - trainer K Townley was warned for failing to affix mudguards to his sulky.
ASHES OF DESIRE - paced roughly at various stages through the running. Broke inside the 400 metres losing its chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off hind. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
