Race 1   LEVEL ONE RESTAURANT & BAR HANDICAP TROT
PETRONELLI GEE - briefly held up rounding the final bend.
DOCTOR LAVROS - broke rounding the first bend. Again broke near the 400 metres.
FATHER ON DOWN - weakened from the 500 metres.
CLASSIC ROCK N ROLL - broke at the start before switching to a pace losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future standing start engagements at the request of Trainer N Chalmers.
MY HOPE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Driver N Williamson reported the mare had lay inwards rounding the bends.
PHOEBE'S DELIGHT - paced away before breaking losing all chance.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly throughout the run home.
SVELT - held up rounding the final bend. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Williamson advised the mare had received every opportunity and raced up to his expectations.
Race 2   INVERCARGILL HIRE MOBILE PACE
BRIGADIERS SON - held up for the majority of the home straight. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 100 metres.
OVER THE ODDS - held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the run home.
ROCK TO THE BOSS - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1700 metres. Over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover near the 1100 metres. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
FRIENDLY EYRE - weakened leaving the final bend. Broke near the 100 metres hampering trailing runners.
CAUTIOUS GALLEON - paced roughly in the score-up when trying to duck under the mobile arm. Became awkwardly placed to the inside of BRIGADIERS SON when drifting into the passing lane near the 1100 metres making contact with the sulky wheel of that runner and breaking briefly in consequence. Stewards questioned Junior Driver D Anderson assisted by Driver C Ferguson regarding this incident. Mr Anderson explained the mare had shifted inwards causing him difficulty after he had re-adjusted his grip on the reins . After hearing the explanation tendered Mr Anderson was issued with a warning for the manner he drove. When taking this course of action Stewards were mindful of Mr Anderson's lack of race-day driving experience. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 100 metres.
BEEZ NEEZ - paced roughly in the score-up when trying to duck under the mobile arm. Raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
SEVENTH HEAVEN - raced four-wide from the 800 metres. Raced greenly racing into the bend near the 500 metres.
ATARAH - Junior Driver T Larsen was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the home straight.
SLY TRICKS - raced wide in the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100 metres.
Race 3   MCKNIGHT & BROWN MOBILE PACE
BETTORS HIGHLIGHT - held up through the early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 4   CRAIG HEYRICK AT HARCOURTS MOBILE PACE
I'M WATCHING YOU - lay outwards leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Stewards questioned Junior Driver T Nally regarding his decision to shift outwards in the home straight as opposed to taking an inside run in the Passing Lane. Junior Driver T Nally explained that his horse had locked on one rein so he attempted to improve wider on the track however had been held up for clear running for some distance. Stewards noted Mr Nally's explanation.
RIN TIN TIN - locked wheels with TAD LINCOLN leaving the final bend.
TAD LINCOLN - locked wheels with RIN TIN TIN leaving the final bend.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to the rear of the field.
Race 5   REGENT CAR COURT SOUTHERN SPRINT SERIES MOB PACE
HOLY HAVOC - weakened rounding the final bend.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - weakened from the 800 metres hampering a trailing runner. When asked to comment on the performance Driver R McIlwrick could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a high heart rate. A warning was placed on the racing performance of AVEROSS RUSTLER.
WHERE'S DADDY - hampered by a weakening runner near the 800 metres.
JABALI - raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field.
HAMPTON - weakened rounding the final bend.
AMERICAN MAC - broke in the score-up however recovered to be in its allotted barrier position at the Candy Pole.
CAST A SHADOW - held up rounding the final bend.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - held up rounding the final bend.
SIR BRIGADOON - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver S Ottley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver S Ottley advised she would be recommending gear changes.
Race 6   BRENDAN FRANKS FARRIER HANDICAP TROT
SOUTH PARK - hung outwards in the home straight and shifted up the track.
HORACE HORSE - the required Veterinary clearance was received. Shifted up the track near the 700 metres when trotting roughly and continued to trot roughly for some distance thereafter. Junior Driver M Hurrell reported the gelding had felt indifferent in its action throughout the race. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed mild dehydration and lameness in the off hind leg. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance.
JASMINE JACCKA - trotted roughly racing into the first bend before breaking, losing considerable ground.
COUNT EYRE - over-raced through the middle stages. Trotted roughly in the early stages of the home straight before breaking near the 100 metres.
JIMMY CARTER - broke at the start losing all chance.
Race 7   E H BALL ITM MOBILE PACE
KAGEE VC - weakened rounding the final bend.
JODY DIREEN - weakened rounding the final bend.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
IVANA LEGACY - when asked to comment on the improved performance Trainer S Armour advised the mare races well in a fresh state and had derived considerable benefit from a recent spell.
DODGETHEBULLET - paced roughly on various occasions during the running.
BOARDING CALL - paced roughly late in the score-up.
