SOLEDAD - back a length at the start. When questioned by the Stewards driver T Mitchell advised that the filly had been breaking in her recent starts and he was mindful not to bustle the horse in the early stages of the race. Broke near the 450 metres losing all chance. | |
SUPERFAST NINJA - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. |

MURPHYS REWARD - Over-raced in the middle stages when leading. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Mitchell reported that the gelding had over-raced during the running which had taken its toll. | |

SUPERSEDE - broke after 100 metres losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. While in a break a side hopple carrier came adrift. Stewards inspected the gear which was in good condition and sufficiently taped and accordingly no action was taken. Weakened passing the 400 metres. |

THE MISSING SOCK - raced keenly near the 1000 metres when racing in the parked position. Weakened passing the 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly suffered an Atrial Fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance to include a satisfactory ECG. The Veterinarian recommended to connections that blood tests be taken from the filly and Stewards will follow up the results in the coming days. | |
BE MY ROSE - paced roughly passing the 1300 metres. Raced three wide without cover from the 900 metres. | |
EMMBER - held up leaving the final bend and until passing the 100 metres. | |
MANHATTAN - raced three wide with cover from the 800 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dickie reported that he was satisfied with the filly's effort considering that she raced wide and it was difficult to make up ground given the fast closing sectionals. | |
PLATINUM - hampered by a weakening runner passing the 400 metres. | |
LITTLE MISS PERFECT - held up briefly leaving the final bend contacting a track marker. | |
KERRI MAGUIRE - co-trainers S & A Telfer were issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after the gelding was presented to race in removable deafeners which were not notified and were subsequently removed prior to the start. |

When questioned regarding the manner in which he drove rounding the final bend, driver A Drake explained that he had commenced to shift out off the back of SUPA DUPA LUCA as TONITES DELIGHT improved to its outside. However, the colt had then lay in and locked on one rein which resulted in the horse being disappointed for a run thereafter. Mr Drake further advised that the connections will be making corrective gear changes prior to this runner next racing. | |

Driver B Edwards was shown a replay and warned for the manner in which he drove when attempting to return his runner into its correct gait passing the 300 metres. Mr Edwards was also warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion. A post race veterinary examination revealed a minor wound to the left hock which was treated. | |

When questioned regarding the performance driver Z Butcher reported that the gelding had got too far back in the running and had been unable to improve in the home straight due the quick final sectionals. |

When questioned regarding the performance driver B Butcher reported that it was the gelding's first run back from a spell and he expected the horse to derive considerable benefit from the run. |
